In America - houses are cheaper, cars are cheaper, electronics are cheaper...goods are cheaper...In some states of US, there are no state tax...America has the biggest global job market & average annual salary is much more higher than in UK(say same job position pays much more better in the US)...I have indian friends moving from the UK to the US cuz they prefer America better than the UK...America is better than the UK anyday...
No America is not better I earn far more in the uk. Things seem cheaper in the USA but you need to add the tax to everything that actually makes it more expensive in the USA. Gas is cheaper in the USA. But the mileage you get in cars is far worse making it almost the same. I used to spend 100 bucks a month filling my car I spend about the same in the uk. Rent is far cheaper in the uk if you live in a big city. Medical bills are free in the uk as you pay in your tax. Eating out in the USA is cheaper until you add your 15 to 20% tip then it’s about the same. Income tax is a bit less in the USA but once you add medical, 401k it’s about the same.
Its a good video and gives a good idea about the IT salary in UK. However Glassdoor I would say is about 60% reliable. I have seen salaries from different countries and sometimes I have seen within the same company that an Account Manager and an Account Executive have a gap of 70k which is not realistic. So do some more research in this case and have a good estimation if those numbers can be true.

The uk have less software employees than usa than there will not be more competition than usa. So uk have more salary than usa for software employees
