Hi, when watching japanese shows i am almost sentence mining every sentence. Its takes up a lot of time and i feel like im not enjoying the show. Is that normal and do you have face the same issue?
Are these all words or sentence constructions you want to learn or see yourself using? I'd recommend sentence mining only if it's a word you're encountering for the 3rd time and still don't know what it means. (Sorry for the late reply!)
Don't save every word, you obviously wont know them at the beginning. Just listen to it and you'll get some information in because of context. BUT if you hear something more than twice and you FEEL like you need it, DO IT! That's a catch. Do this and you won't get tired and you will enjoy the show. Also, if you want to know what I do, I made a video about it. - Sorry for the plug 😅
I learned with Memrise when I was 15 or so and then at university for 4 semesters. I haven't had any lessons this year (granted I wanted a take a break as well), but I'm back to studying now. Sometimes it's kind of hard to be motivated when schoolwork takes up so much time already, but I try :)
I forgot to mention this, but if your device or file has good enough audio quality, there's no need to add the compressor effect. :)
Keep going!
I will :)

@@baiburume No worries. I realised I was engaging in content that is way above my current level when I should be focusing on "i + 1" instead.
