For 2025, the GasGas MC85 two-stroke underwent a complete overhaul, coming with a stronger engine, a new frame, a new swing arm, and a new WP XACT shock. The goal for the chassis was confidence-inspiring handling and increased straight-line stability. Inside the engine is a new cylinder head, ignition, spark plug, carburetor settings, and pipe and silencer that boost low to mid-range power and torque. In this video, MXA's test rider in training, Nixyn D'Errico, shakes down his new steed.

Came here for a bike test, stayed for the wholesome, family fun!
Looks awesome ❤ i wish i was a kid
Thank you for testing more mini bikes lately. When my boys were riding minibikes, MXA would maybe test mini bikes once every 3 years. But I would see MXA publish the same exact test for big bikes like the YZ250 and YZ125 every year, just telling us BNG are the only changes (which they were). Or countless 450 and 250f tests and shootouts. Not sure what the overall sales figures are between big bikes and mini bikes, which would be really cool to publish if you guys know, but I see way more brand new mini bikes every season at amateur motocross races then there are brand new big bikes. Every mom and dad out there with a kid racing has to deal with that kid growing in size and having birthdays along with the bike not nickel and diming them to death, that means new bikes every 2-3 years on the minis, basically from age 4 up to probably 15 ish for most kids. Think about it, first a pw50, then a 50 small wheel, then a 50 big wheel, then a 65, then 85, then a big wheel 85, then a super mini. Might be lucky to get 2 years out of a bike before they need to be replaced or the kid outgrows or out ages the bike. Not to mention the fact that the minis take a beating, especially at the hands of fast kids on 65s and 85s. So help the parents out, more mini tests, more mini shootouts, help the parents, especially those that are new to the sport, decide where to spend their money.
It's hard to blame them since almost all the mini bikes went without updates for between 10 and 20 years depending on their model.
Very nice gas gas mc 85 like thanks motorcycle action magazine 😊👍🇬🇧
I can say for sure that they way the bikes feel when sitting on them Between Husky, Gas Gas and KTM they definitely feel different no matter what the manufacturer says. Huskys feel the widest on the shrouds then Gas Gas is in the middle and KTM the skinniest. With the 85’s I can definitely see the Gas Gas being the skinniest with the shrouds being shaped a bit different than the big bikes.
In other news, I about fell out of my chair to hear the press release from Kawasaki!!!!
I can not BELIEVE Josh sent it, over that jump. Did the shock and spring smash the seat frame?
It looks trick. Wish they had it when I was young
Ridiculous. GasGas should surrender ALL assets and close immediately. Disgusting. 🤮
