- Hello Everyone, I have decided to explore more areas across Central & South East London since it is Summer. So, Route 1 is operated by Go Ahead London - London Central from Camberwell [Q] Garage using Gemini 3 B5LH's, MCV Evoseti's & Enviro400MMC's - which I just made. The route was previously at Morden Wharf [MG] Garage up until September 2023, but was moved when the route got withdrawn between Holborn Station and Tottenham Court Road, replaced by the 188 from Russell Square. Then extended towards Hampstead Heath, replacing the 168 & with the PVR increasing from 15 to 23. So now the route goes from Hampstead Heath, Belsize Park, Chalk Farm, Camden Town, Mornington Crescent, Euston, Bloomsbury, Holborn, Aldwych, Waterloo, South Bank, Elephant & Castle, Bermondsey, Surrey Quays, Rotherhithe & then Canada Water.
Since I filmed this on a Saturday Morning at like 8AM, there was no traffic along the route which was good as I had an extremely fast driver at the start who was thrashing it all the way through. There was a 3 minute driver change at The Old Vic, which costed the visual to be 63 minutes, but it wasn't that bad and the 2nd driver applied a great level of speed also. Despite how handy & useful this routes extension, I still do miss the 168 to be fair. It was nice having a Metroline route in South London along Old Kent Road. I just hope that TFL don't withdraw any more routes like the 332/16 and create stupid changes in the name of "budget cuts". RIP 168 😢.
Route 1 is a route that I have been anticipating to do for a while since its extension last year in September 2023. So since, I am more likely to start doing more Central London routes by unlocking new London Borough's; (Lambeth & Southwark) and others, you can comment down any routes that I should do.

3:03 - It seems like a tourist place since the British Museum is a short walk from Russel Square.
3:59 - It is, I think it's also for 139 (If I'm not mistaken...)
I can attempt the 341 by the end of August.

South London routes have actually been good!
Yes, 1 has benefitted significantly from TFL incompetence as they wanted to withdraw 168 for budget cuts, but now the routes demand has increased slightly lol.
Yes, I highly recommend filming route 1: (But don't film it during the rush hours or in the afternoon/evenings) as you will most likely get stuck in traffic and curtail.
Film it in the morning no later than 10AM, ideally a Weekend or Bank Holiday Morning.
Nice one 1 is nice route but I think they should of get rid of 199 and cut 1 back to around Waterloo and make a new route maybe call 408 from Waterloo all the way to Hampstead Heath

I think that would make things worse. Maybe they should've swapped the 1 & 188 routings around Rotherhithe and made 1 go from North Greenwich to Hampstead and the 188 from Tottenham Court Road to Canada Water.

How do you film FRVS on buses
@@mr_eastlondon Basically, you get your phone or camera and you place it on the window horizontally with a camera holder or blu tack and record.
Make sure that you have a high amount of storage before filming. 👍
I don’t like this extension
I do like it but don't at the same time as 168 was better as it already went all the way to Elephant & castle from Hampstead Heath.
If anything 168 should've replaced 1 lol.
