I don't hate the alt-mode, but I don't know why they didn't just keep the leg transformation from the bumblebee movie version. In defense for the engineers they said hasbro told them to prioritize the robot mode and didn't give enough money, so that's what they could do to the truck mode, it was Hasbro's fault
The reason why his truck bed is like that is because it's actually a very very heavy remold of ss 38 prime but they didn't have enough budget and that's why the canon is also so small due to budget cut and the reason they put it in buzzworthy is because they already had 2 voyagers in that same line but they wanted a prime to go with the movies release so they put it in the buzzworthy bumblebee line

I swear this thing is probably one of the most overhyped figure ever. Same went with SS38 and Movieline Airazor. I don’t give a damn about the truck, that’s not my problem with him. The unfinished truck is because the designers literally ran out of budget because this was made in a retool budget instead of a full figure budget
Im pretty sure it has the issue it does is because of a surprising lack of budget. Ive also heard that target helped out hasbro woth said lack of budget which is why he became an exclusive. That aoad these are kust rumors as far as I know. Idk of true lol
The reason why the alt mode looks so bad is because they had the budget of a retool. They didn't have the budget of a full complete new mold, so they had to work around. And one of the designers admitted that because they wanted to prioritize that robot mode (and they did an outstanding job), they ran out of money and had to do what is admittedly a botch job. And for those who say they should've just reused 38's method, those legs did NOT hold together. And whenever they did, the feet had no heels so you had to leave them unpegged. That design was very crappy.
I commented on this video before. I'm commenting again to tell you Bawei KO of this figure is miles way better. The shoulders isn't fix yet tho. I might use the DNA Design should only.
I do not care about the rear of the the alt mode the Fla 96 with the upper girl and fabulous details on the cab make me love this figure even more now all I want is an 83 square body c10 transformer.
The truck mode is trash, but the bot mode isn't perfect either. I didn't even know there was so much gaps in the shoulder area because the promo pics aren't taken from the top down. Other voyager optimus figs don't have big weird gaps in their shoulders and look much better. Coupled with those tiny weapons, this isn't even that impressive in bot mode, even though that's what the Hasbro makers claimed that's what all the budget went into.
I mean somethings are done for the sake of the articulation, and yeah these gaps probably wouldn’t be there if he had normal shoulders. The sword I don’t mind but the cannon is definitely a little disappointing
@@Gei4Mei It doesn't even have great shoulder articulation. I have the figure. The Gamer Edition Optimus has the same range of articulation without unsightly gaps. The Magic Square optimus has SUPERIOR shoulder articulation without any gaps. It's just very poor engineering and design.
Hey Gei, you playing to pick up the upgrade kit for this Optimus? There being an upgrade kit doesn't excuse the issues, but it does look to improve the figure quite a bit.
It’s complicated. I was up at 3am and I was notified that Target had them in stock online, but only for store pick up. I managed to find a store across town that had them confirmed in stock, so I just ordered it and picked him up that afternoon. But no, technically I didn’t see him in the wild and I’m honestly kind of upset about it.
SS38 has a better truck and SS102 has a better robot. Evan said that they ran out of budget money for SS102 legs so that's why his truck mode is a hot mess💩💯
@@Gei4Mei The DNA shoulder upgrades seems fine, but the truck kibble fix seems weird. Normally you’ve got a clean truck bed with a crap ton of truck kibble on the cab. The DNA upgrade makes it so the truck kibble is gone, but the truck bed just looks like a pair of robot legs. It’s a pick your poison kind of thing.

I just recently discovered your channel and you’re hilarious man. Awesome review.
Thank you so much! I hope you stick around to see what I've got coming up!
Im pretty sure it has the issue it does is because of a surprising lack of budget. Ive also heard that target helped out hasbro woth said lack of budget which is why he became an exclusive. That aoad these are kust rumors as far as I know. Idk of true lol
Great review as always
Thank u ☺️ and yeah Target paid for it. I dunno why they have a lack of budget when it comes to their new movie figure but whatever
0:56 Yes.
The entire video hinged upon this moment
Gotta love them wheels for cheeks 🤣
You got a knack for posing for sure.
I try my best, I’d like to show off as much as they can do as possible
we really need a new Megatron
They need to stop playing and make a Studio Series of the Bumblebee movie Megatron design
@@Gei4Mei 100%
And it’s going to occur with that leaked SS Megatron for the 2024 lineup.
Okay but I heard that’s gonna be 86 Megatron 👀
@@Gei4Mei That’s impossible because how is Hasbro going to do a Gun Megatron.
its 10 pm at my place, im working my @ss off, and thats when your video came
Yaaaayyyy
Yeah, I bumped my videos up to 11am since the last one, just trying it out to see if it helps my viewership
Wow what a great looking figure surely hasbros distribution will insure its available for all who want it😊
Evil Hasbro be like “We get our toys shipped on time and they’re widely available for purchase 😤”
Gosh i hope he gets a wide release
They said he would, and I hope its soon
Never noticed, but god damn Arcee really has some sexbot lips
Thats legitimately the first thing I noticed when the trailer came out
The reason why the alt mode looks so bad is because they had the budget of a retool.
It sounds like a bad situation, but they got so close to perfection 😭
@@Gei4Mei Yea. They still reused parts from 38, even if it was just the wheels and windows. They used a lot of budget for a retool.
It actually reuses a few engineering quirks too, like how the legs and the abs fold up
I commented on this video before. I'm commenting again to tell you Bawei KO of this figure is miles way better. The shoulders isn't fix yet tho. I might use the DNA Design should only.
Eh, I can live with the truck mode, it’s not like it can kill me
I’d still keep it in another room and lock your doors 👀
I don't seem to mind the vehicle mode kibble thst much...my only gribes are the paint aps and the goofy ah "hand canon"
Premium finish version 👀 I would definitely buy one lol
Good figure but the flaws i can look pass
Great review!
Thanks ☺️ I kinda feel the same overall, but its really frustrating to see them drop the ball on the vehicle mode
I do not care about the rear of the the alt mode the Fla 96 with the upper girl and fabulous details on the cab make me love this figure even more now all I want is an 83 square body c10 transformer.
Man knows where his priorities are 😳
Their is gonna a update kit for this figure
I’ve heard, a few actually 👀
I know, thats why people don’t like it lol
Hey Gei, you playing to pick up the upgrade kit for this Optimus? There being an upgrade kit doesn't excuse the issues, but it does look to improve the figure quite a bit.
I have seen it, I wasn’t planning in it explicitly since I usually don’t buy that kind of stuff. They’re a little pricey
4 months later
He STILL hasn’t been rereleased into the mainline
Tell us please Gei, were you able to get this figure on the wild? Or did you have to face scalper rates too? 👀
Another banger!
Thank u so much 😊
I was rlly gonna get this until I saw the TW1027
What is that?
SS38 has a better truck and SS102 has a better robot. Evan said that they ran out of budget money for SS102 legs so that's why his truck mode is a hot mess💩💯
I wanna love this figure more but the shoulders hurt so much. Hopefully the DNA designs upgrade kit fixes him.
The DNA Design upgrade will fix the shoulders and truck kibble
They’re gonna have to do a lot of fixing to solve these problems lol
@@DynaMooseit doesn’t fix the shoulders lol, there are pictures online
@@Gei4Mei The DNA shoulder upgrades seems fine, but the truck kibble fix seems weird. Normally you’ve got a clean truck bed with a crap ton of truck kibble on the cab. The DNA upgrade makes it so the truck kibble is gone, but the truck bed just looks like a pair of robot legs. It’s a pick your poison kind of thing.
i ended up getting mech alliance dark commander (nemesis prime)
Did that just come out, I been hearing a couple people talk about it all of a sudden
@@Gei4Mei ThatToyGuy and MechaZ made vids recently, thats how I came to know
Oh okay, honestly I don’t pay a lot of attention to everyone’s videos cause I’m busy a lot
Honnestly i hear there is a studio series Optimus prime upgrade kid
I’ve been hearing that yeah lol
We are getting a dna design for optimus prime that he getting 2 better accurate arms cannons and some parts for his legs that transformer a bit better and has a trailer hitch that can actually attach his earthrise trailer
That does sound interesting, though I still feel Hasbro needs to get their shit together!
Ill tell you why the paint is not good is because it is on retool budget
I’m sure you’re right, cause he barely has any detail paint at all
Most likely
The movable hip joints have been done extensively in alot of modern MG Gundam kits to be fair. The fact that its now on a TF figure is a good thing and hopefully many to come.
So is the Mainline Non SS Optimus actually better than SS one?
Yes. In every place besides the head articulation, mainline is better
@@StrykerPrimeProductions hopefully there's some sort of upgrade kit just for the head
I agree that the mainline is a more enjoyable toy all around.
Welllll, I wouldn’t say better, I think its still pretty cool tho
@@TheAutisticOwl Unfortunately I don’t think there will be one now that the Ss is out
this your most unhinged video yet, and it's a normal toy too
I didn’t want people to think that was reserved for only one type of figure; I am actually just crazy 😜
00:56 Optimus: Im going to find Scourge.
Gei: Oh yeah!
Optimus: and I´m going to cirumcise him!
Gei: Are you going to transfom him in Jewish!?
😄😁😆😅😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dude, I love your blue jokes!!
Would be nice if I can get him at retail price
I lucked out cause I checked the stock on the app and had to drive to a store across town to get one. The Target by my house got a case, the truck was there, but they restocked it on some random ass day so I missed them all
I actually love this figure so much, and i also like his truck mode, sucks ass that i have to pay up like 100$ for this as i dont live in the US
Great hasbro.... you yet again forgot that theres places around the world OTHER than America and Asia
He’s supposed to get a mass release! Don’t fret, but I dunno when its gonna be
Lack of paint, pin-head robot mode and his lorry mode (rear) is rubbish. I'll wait for the KO to improve it for a cheaper price.
Plump Ladies 12? Needs more Iori Yuuki. Ok for real. that back looks bad but if you gave this figure a mad max paint and makeover we got a nice fit but man. thats a no
It just looks so weird, I can’t believe they thought this was acceptable
@@Gei4Meiyou'd figure with how big hasbro is and clearly not suffering a loss in bank that thered be like one guy who would be there to say like "hey... is this even passable?"
What do you prefer this or studio series 38?
I think I prefer SS102. SS38 has the better vehicle mode by far, but its less graceful with its transformation and it has some tolerance problems with the robot mode legs
Will you get the upgrade kit?
Wow. Whoever allowed this to manifest for truck mode should be fired
Honestly I dunno if I think its lazy or incompetent, and I dunno which is worse
@@Gei4Mei Alpha (Male) Trion needs to be activated at Hasbro. Lot of weirdos there now! For the love of the characters and the cartoons and for the fans!!! It's gotta change .. didn't mean to rant.
They ran out of budget when they got to the legs
Why You Didn't Get Studio Series Deluxe Class R.O.T.B Bumblebee and Use Studio Series Deluxe Class 2007 Bumblebee?
And They Have Both DNA Upgrade Kit For Studio Series Voyager Class R.O.T.B Optimus Prime.
Cause my scenes take place before the events of the movie!
@@Gei4Mei Oh I See Then And There's Upcoming DNA Design Upgrade Kit For Studio Series R.O.T.B Voyager Class Optimus Prime is For The Legs Pieces in Vehicle Mode, Movable Feets, Bigger Blasters Hand, and Smoke Stacks, and Second DNA Design Upgrade Kit is For His New Shoulders Parts.
@@Gei4Mei That's Fix Shoulder Problems, It Move Up Futher, and It Make "Let Them Come/I Gonna Take Scourge's Key and Then Take Off His Head" and "Stand Down, I Won't Asked a Second Time" Pose.
1:01 I remember there was a gag in family guy where Optimus Prime was jewish.
DNS Dk upgrades under construction 😅
But they’re gonna be expensive!
"let them come pose" i hate that
I honestly didn’t know how else to phrase it lmao
@@Gei4MeiI say “I hate it” but I ugly laughed when I heard it LOL - thank you for the great review!
😊 thank u so much
*it shouldn’t be a exclusive.*
If it wasn't then it wouldn't exist for maybe a while
Great review but the shoulders and hips are terrible. I would rather have SS38 hips or Optus Pexus hips than what we got. The truck mode is messy but serviceable. I am truly disappointed with this figure.
Well like I said, they’re unique. This figure was really hard to talk about because generally I think this things work alright, they’re just weird
5:44, whatever you Gotta do to make it not a kids video man
Listen bro, times are tough lol
I’m not a big fan of unfinished parts of toys
