      Like that sitcom trips where you date two girls simultaneously but always pretend like you have to use the bathroom to get away to your second date.
      But it's for months, and she's just looking for an excuse to storm out.

    Honestly what op said in story 3 was enough because why should he actively help mend a relationship that his wife broke because she has shown favorites and didnt punish the daughter for stealing but instead said that her daughter is more important. And you know this isnt the first time because a big reaction out of the sons wouldn't make sense unless this has happened before and the wife needs to fix it herself instead of crying about it like a baby

      I have been listening to these for over a year. The presenter on this channel has shown that he is an absolute simp. Unless the woman is acting like a Karen, he completely ignores when women are being jerks. Unless it's undeniable. He suffers from the "women are wonderful" phenomenon. And before some idiot claims that I am a misogynist, I am actually more of a misanthrope. All humans are inherently worthless.

    Story 3: The husband sounds incredibly dodgy. I'd be so repulsed finding out my middle-aged husband was not only looking at women literally young enough to be his child but was actively cheating on me with said not fully matured women. His brain and body have finished growing and he's purposefully choosing women who aren't mentally, emotionally or cognitively mature. I'd not only divorce him but I'd take him for everything I could. I'd then let all our friends and family know not to trust this grown older man who likes to sleep with people young enough to be his child.

    • @funkijote
      @funkijote 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah it’s really weird when men feel like it’s flattering to them to successfully cast their nets among women who haven’t lived enough to see through BS and develop boundaries, responsibilities, and essentially, a solid sense of self and discernment with partners. It is not hard to impress young people with relative wealth, experience, cognitive resources, and the gravitas that young people project onto older “more worldly” romantic partners. This generally falls apart once these young women come to see these guys clearly, complete with the flaws that saw them divorced to begin with, and men stop seeing their desires mirrored back at them by an impressionable and accommodating young vessel. After ~30 there is a baseline of life experience that renders age gaps less relevant, but before 30, it is highly suspect.

    The boss story reminds me of a dance director who was supposed to promote me to one of the lead roles, as I was the understudy to it but the dancer for that role got injured in a car accident.
    The director gave his girlfriend that lead role over me, and when I called him out on it, he fried me and I was released from my contract. Two weeks later, he called me up in a panic, demanding that I come back. His girlfriend had gotten pregnant…and the baby wasn’t his (he had the “snip-snip”), so he dumped her and fired her (contract wasn’t signed yet).
    I refused to come back because I had already accepted another role at a different dance company and even so, I wasn’t going to come back anyway. I hated that guy. He got fired and the dance production was cancelled.
    TL/DR: Lead dancer hurt in car accident, I as her understudy was passed over by director for his girlfriend. I got fired for confronting him about it. Girlfriend got preggers, impossible to be director’s baby, he fired her and begs me to come back. I refused, already got hired by rival dance company. Director was fired, production cancelled.

    I knew someone like the mom in the first story, but she wasn't that volatile. She was Schizophrenic. She worked in my office and if anyone said anything like, "this is crazy" or something similar, not even talking about her, she'd be out of work for weeks.

  • @Regden1000
    @Regden1000 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The first story. The OP isn't the jerk, I would recommend the OP advise the father to get a divorce first before the mom does then leaving the mom a VERY constructive letter about how selfish, controlling and neglectful she has been throughout the OP's life with the letter ending with the OP telling her mother until you see a therapist and get the help you need, I'm cutting you out of my life.
    Third story. The wife and her daughter are the jerk. The OP while right that his wife created this mess, he still needs to pitch in and help her clean up the mess she made all to bring back some semblance of peace in the house. I would suggest that he call his boys into the living room, make his daughter apologize to his boys then making the mum say her apology and punish Ana by making her get a part time job so that she can pay for new air pods or if she isn't old enough ground her for like a month.
    Fourth story. The OP isn't the jerk, her husband could have tried marriage counseling, therapy or anything to spice up of their love life but instead he chose to cheat. And while age can be a bit of a contributing factor, it is one's personality that decides whether they are an outgoing and carefree person. If you are with someone whose core personality is being out going and socializing well that's how they are going to be for more or less most of their life. The husband just likes young and naive girls plain and simple. So for the OP I will just say that you feel boring because you been in a dead loveless marriage for so long that the only thing that kept you from parting with your husband is because you felt responsible as a wife and mother. Now that you are no longer tethered to much responsibility it's time for to go out and find things you enjoy in life whether that be a hobby, friend or another companion.
    Last story. The OP isn't the jerk it seems that it wasn't much of a secret just how scumming Chris was. As for Chris, go and get a prostitute or a gold digger if you want to feel a woman's touch again.

    To the husband whose wife drove a wedge between their two sons and their daughter: You are not wrong, but if your wife truly regrets what she did and truly wants to make things right, then help her!!! The day will come when your wife, sons, or daughter dies. When that day comes, it will be too late to heal your relationships! Seize the day NOW and do everything you can to help your wife bring herself, your sons, and your daughter back together again! If you don't, it will torment you for the rest of your life! Please don't let that happen!

    As for the first story, the OP doesn't deserve that type of mother. She seems like the "let me speak to your manager" type of mother that would go off for any simple thing that was said. Take my mom for an example, I literally and figuratively had to walk on eggshells and be careful for whatever I was saying because one wrong thing, and BOOM, she'd go off, but unlike the OP in the first story, my mom didn't 'pack up' and leave. And as for the fourth story, good f'ing lord, the person's husband is cheating with a COLLEGE GIRL?? Honestly, that is hurtful, sick and borderline despicable. Here's a couple in their 40's and the hubby decides the marriage isn't enough to keep him happy??? WTF kinda crap is that???

    Story 1: Wow, the OP's mother here is an extreme drama queen. What the hell is wrong with her? The OP is now 18, so why on earth is she even in contact with her at this point... and why is the father still with her? I would 100% be embarassed to say that i was related to this woman in any way shape or form. Next time the mom has a temper-tantrum here and walks out, i say the OP should tell her that if she leaves, she leaves for good. Also, if the OP ever gets her own apartment or house, definitely don't let her visit there, much less live there. That would be nothing short of a nightmare.
    Story 2: Yeah that boss was a complete knubskull here... im surprised the OP even showed up for his final day of working with this guy. I get wanting to demote someone to save the company money in a dire situation or if someone isn't performing at a level they should, but to do this? Yea, thats way out of line here and glad the OP got away from this bad boss, and even better with the "manual" he created too.
    Story 3: OP is not a jerk here. Not a jerk if you're honest. Also, it really does sound like the mom favors Ana here over both Alex and Jim. I can see why Jim would get upset at Ana for both taking the airpods and then lying about it. As for the mom, her choices of words here were definitely hurtful even if she meant it different or not. If she really meant that Ana was more important then the airpods, then she should've said that from the start, but to only say Ana was more important and only take her side in things.... well yeah, i can definitely see why the 2 brothers are mad here. I think the brothers should mellow out a little bit on the sister, but i think its going to be a while before they aren't mad at the mom here.
    Story 4: OP really should've left this guy, and yesterday. This isn't a one-time thing, which would be bad enough, but he's done this multiple times over may years. OP really needs a good divorce lawyer here and use all the hurtful things he said to her against him here.
    Story 5: No way is the OP a jerk. Chris is and big time. I can totally see why Grace, and any other women, would want absolutely nothing to do with him. He's an awful person and deserves to be single and alone.

    The only other thing that could be said was for what he said about her. A little rude, yea maybe. But she also admitted that everything he said about her was correct. Their kids are grown. They don't have to be chained to each other. They can live their lives how they want now as singles again.

    Story 3 - OP is NTA. The wife however is definitely the AH. As far as trying to fix anything, OP, do NOTHING. It is not up to you to fix anything. Your wife is the one that f***** up everything, let her suffer through it and IF she can fix it herself so be it. And if not, then what's done is done. The same with the daughter and your sons it's up to her (your daughter) to square things away with her brothers because she's the one that took what was not hers and then lost it.

    Realistically college bound girls got it easy, for the past 37 years of my life my mother has threatened self deletion she has felt extremely hurt or backed into a corner, the first time I can remember her saying that to my father I was 4 years old. And her explanation of how she'd do it is jump off a bridge, end of the river. And she's so afraid of heights if she is in a tall building she won't get near the windows. Yeah the older and older I get the less I believe she'd use a bridge. Self deletion is bad, but when does it become a weapon against people and not a Sirius threat, just something born out of desperation, to say it.
    Having your mom take off and ghost you for a little while not telling you where she is when she's upset, doesn't rinse your heart like someone spending a dial in your chest every time it happens.
    Just as a it'll get easier, meaning you'll get used to the behavior and it won't mean as much.
