Thanks so much for this video. I just got a string of pearls. It’s a little shaken up from the mail. Now I know how to take care of her. Thanks! Love your garden!

Hi Marilyn thank you so much, I’m happy you like my garden. As of the moment is winter here in Australia and my Angel Begonia is heading to Dormancy period although it’s still flowering but not a lot of flowers compare to spring time. But I already made a short video of my Angel Begonia. Just search it on my old videos. Thank you 😊. Have a blessed Day to you
you can curl the string of pearls on the top of the soil and pin them with office paper clips or hair pins ! then sprinkle a light amount of soil, shake and water .... it stays and don't move. Thanks for your video, your plants are beautiful, fluffy and full, it looks like you are living in the tropics ?
Thank you so much and I am trying to propagate my string of perals today following your suggested method. Water propagation does not work for me at all.
Hi Lily Granny same here water propagation is too slow for me too. This method really works for me I propagated a lot of string of pearls already. Just make it sure when the soil dry water it.
Thanks Resse. Thanks for subscribing. Some of my pots are from second hand shop and some are from eBay. I just type succulent pots. and variety of pots will come out .

Hi Debbie, thank you 😊.I don’t callous my string of pearls I plant it straight away in a slightly moist soil. Then I water it when I feel the soil is dry. Thank you so much for subscribing 🙏
I’m in love in your garden.. Love 💕 love 💕 that Donkeys tail .. Your plants are all so healthy .. what fertilizer are you using and where are you located ? Thank you for sharing ♥️ JONAH
Hi my new succulent friend. I’m located at South Australia, My donkeys tail was just given to me by a friend I have that when it’s still small and I able to multiply it and also given a lot to friends. I use slow release fertiliser which is osmocote and I also use liquid fertiliser which is Seasol
Great video and your SOP and donkeys tail are gorgeous! I have just potted some SOP cuttings and am not sure when to begin watering it - do I hold off any water for a week and then water normally (thoroughly about once a week)? Or do I immediately start misting the new cuttings - for how long before I start watering? Thank you!
Hi Jen thank you so much for visiting my channel. String of pearls love water. I water my string of pearls the next day after I potted them. And make sure to water them again when the soil is dry. Don’t let them dry for too long though or else the pearls will start shrinking and stem will start to dry.
Yes that’s what I do with mine . But if you have a pot that is as big as the half wine barrel I will put a handful of Epsom salt. But I only do it once with mine just from the start
how much epsom salt do you add to your succulent potting mix? What does it do for the plant? Do you add this to all your succulent pots? Thank you again
Hi Jen Adding Epsom salt to the soil will not only help in fulfilling the vital functions of magnesium & sulfur but also help the succulent absorb nitrogen, phosphorus & potassium in a better way. As Epsom salts help in making the plants greener, it will make the succulent look much more vibrant. I just add 1teaspoon when I repot in a 5litter pot size and that’s about it.
I've watched a lot of videos on string of pearls care and propagation and none were as clear or helpful as this one. Thank you so much!

Hi Missy thank you and welcome to my channel. Are you from Australia? If not you can browse online maybe eBay or Amazon.
@@Emshomesucculentgarden I’m in the United States but thank you
how much epsom salt would you add to a 4.5" pot or a 6" pot? I would fertilize as I normally do once a month? thanks again
Hi Jen, 1 tsp of Epsom salt will do and you can fertilise as you normally do.
just to clarify, you would recommend basically using 1 tsp epsom salt to any size pot? I will try this

How often do you water string of pearl?
Hi Floraida, I water it once every 2 weeks during winter and once a week during summer.
