no need for a pond a mediumish dog pool is wonderful if you have the money and if not theyll enjoy a kittie pool just as much

Best to note that getting pairs is best for happy ducks if you can't give them attention all the time. Plus they're awful indoor pets, they can't hold their bowels and will poop whenever.

So much great information! We have call ducks and dwarf mallards, eg they are both the same size. Our call ducks are as you say super friendly and adorable. But also fierce. They dominate our mallards. The females definitely have yelling matches, and sometimes actual fights. Much more than males. And the call duck females always win. Whilst the mallard males usually win.

There was no need to tie them down. Opposed to that they would be let loose , mingle during day with over flying wild ducks and then in evening bring these wild ducks home to the "eenden kooi". The tame ones we not afraid of the smells or the dog and would go to their nest , the wild ones were lured and then chased and trapped. Very effective large scale operation.

How deep their voice is. The quack sounds completely different

males will have a curled feather on there tails called a drake curl and males are also quieter and sound raspy while females are loud and have a more quack sound
