    Just stap a couple of long stick attached to the trailer on the left and right to stabilize trailer. Then the two sticks and the trailer pole come together as one point strapping to your back pack. Then when you walk down the road the trailer is pulled along just like it was on a bike.

    • @thomaschainey3230
      @thomaschainey3230 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should also be able to push it like a cart with the wood stabilizing poles.

    You are right Dan, it's MESS tin. First used in the military since the 16th century. Every soldier will tell you that. A nest tin is more of a modern term just because two or more are inside one-n-other, or we could say "a nest of mess tins". Cheers

  • @acousticactivism2873
    @acousticactivism2873 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I expect you could use the bike trailer tent to carry the camping gear rucksack . Could not quite see if you sat up all the way in it .
    Did you put the cover on , that would help with the condensation ?
    You felt the cold draft from underneath , but you see you had insulation with the air mattress , its the ground sheet that was black . Dark colours especially black absorb heat , heat is hot or cold . I would like to see more white camping gear for warmth . Yes it makes a big difference . Try wearing white underwear , long Johns , socks , hat and shirt at least and see for yourself .
    Cannot see why it had four doors , it must put the price up ?
    Would like to see exactly how the pole fixes on to the bike and the trailer . That metal loop goes around the seat pole I think .
    You could keep some gear under the trailer .
    Love the idea , it would help if you said what the links are for . Great video inspiration to get one . Many thanks .

    • @acousticactivism2873
      @acousticactivism2873 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@englishwoodsman I found the your link for it and have decided that an ordinary trailer for a bike will do to carry a tent and then can be used for other things . I didn't like the price the head room and the way it fixes to the bike onto the back wheel nut . Prefer to fix it centrally to the seat post . Will you show us the fittings to the trailer and bike ? Those two straps inside , I think are a case of machine madness . Recently I bought a cardigan and the pockets were sewn to the inside , flapping around , whilst the pocket openings were totally fake. I bought a Chinese kerosene burner and the sellers had to admit it will only burn for an hour , the wicks cannot be replaced . It is disgusting how they mass produce totally useless brand new rubbish for a land fill site .

    I enjoy your videos a lot , the little tent on wheels looks like it would be handy to use because you would be off from the ground and it would be easy to set up . The draw back would be that you couldn’t sit in it in a light rain on a stool . You did say that it had a rain cover but how big is it ? You also would be limited to fairly level terrain because you couldn’t go to heavily wooded areas and pull it with a bike . At least in the hills and mountains with bike trails In the states I would think it would be difficult. You know might have been able to crush up a crispy bread piece and mix it with the mushy tuna to make some tuna Patties just add a little salt and pepper if it was included . Just a thought 😊

    Sadly the trailer tent is too short for me. I'm 74" and the tent is only 78" right into the bottom corners so the bit that's 'wasted' at the bottom means I would be bashing either my head or my feet (or both) against the fabric. It's the same problem with many ordinary tents - they are frequently too short for anyone above average height and it really pisses me off.
    The ration pack - maybe try them BEFORE you go camping?
    Thanks for the review though.

    I would definitely stake that down. Seeing how it has wheels. If you get really high winds you don't want to end up in Kansas. Little Alice in Wonderland joke there. LOL

    This looks fun but around here some one would pick that up with me in it and push it somewhere else

    That thing is too cool. You could have attached the connector to your belt (at the back) or backpack and just pulled it behind you hands-free. I do a similar setup with a deer cart for hauling extra gear out for camp builds when I need more than what my backpack can carry. I use a workout pulling belt for it though, instead of attaching to my pants belt, so I can remove it without dropping my pants to the woodland floor when I get to my destination 🤣 I have a couple of videos with it if you want to check them out to see what I mean. One is a dedication to Steve Wallis and the other is a gear review testing a Draggin Wagon

      I'm going to look for your videos! I want to figure out how to make an axle and frame to attach a backpack to, using hiking poles/weightpulling vest harness... 12 or 16 inch bike tires. I can't bike anymore due to balance/dizziness issues, can't carry a backpack due to back issues, can't use a waist belt... lol. Don't want to be anchored to home, so I figure an ultralight way to pull a pack/water, etc., is the answer--just pick it up when rough terrain, crossing creeks and so forth. I have an old aluminum exterior frame backpack with folding lower shelf I thought I might be able to use. I have a 95 pound service dog to accompany me now, so have extra water and his food to think of now as well. I like the idea of a tent like Dan's, easier at the end of a long day, I have an old kids bike trailer to try that option.

      @@wendyanderson8169 the old kids bike trailer would probably be great, too! I've been thinking about making a rig for my son to use using his old bike trailer. They tend to have decent ground clearance, are usually rated for up to 100 lbs and are fairly lightweight being mostly fabric with a folding frame and wheels.

    that bar on the trailer looks back to front as the trailer hitch where it connects to the bike is on the wrong end i think
