I've never tried the G2s. I have the R2s these are a 200 treadwear street legal drag radial. 305/35r20. I can get my car to do 0 to 60 and under 4 seconds like clockwork every time. 20 PSI for these tires is where they're happy. I don't recommend this tire as a daily but if you're using your car at the track and want some serious performance on the street as well. The NT555R2 not G2, is the way to go hands down. Love the content too!
I’m at the shop now getting the FireHawks installed right now! My Eagle Sports lasted me 44 & change miles. Heard really great reviews for the Indy 500S
Just bought a set of the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 for my Charger Hellcat (AKA Red Dawn). There's a lot of good research out there. This comparison sealed it for me. Cannot wait to try them out!

I've definitely put some miles on em and my back end is still sliding like kids at a Waterpark. 🤣 they are Ok tires but definitely more hype than anything.
How do you like them on the hellcat? I have a hellcat charger that desperately needs more traction but I don't want a drag radial on a car I drive too often.
I've had the nittos 305 and they didn't really hook well, but they lasted forever. I'm really thinking of trying the Firestone's because they're $300 for a 305 while the nittos went up to $400 for a 305
Going on my second set 555G2 UHP, I run em at 39 psi, I launch from 1600 rpm foot braking, Suspension in comfort, and Track mode with trac control off. Best time 4.3 on the display. But the 4.5 was easy to get, btw they’re a harder compound, goodluck wearing them out(unless you burning), these tires last awhile. Shit get the radials on rear
@@MrAndersonisFullyAuto I see, yeah they’re definitely not the greatest tire. I do hear about the indys a lot. Might have to run em in future. Thank for the insight and video
Mickey Thompson et street s/s is one of the best I’ve ran on the street . They do ok in wet stuff , but absolutely hook up on dry hot asphalt. Tire life isn’t the greatest though . Toyo proxes tq drag radials were the best all around tire I’ve ran, in rain or shine and all around traction . The toyo’s I ran on a single turbo 609 whp 4th gen 6 speed Camaro , the Mickey Thompson’s I ran on a 954 whp twin turbo gto .
I don't know what the compound differences are but I was testing for performance under similar conditions. Honestly after having the Nittos on and driving around with them, I'm not a fan of the Nittos. The Firestones over the life of the tires were better to me. More consistent from a dig and accelerated with less spin.
I never hit 3.9 with them, but they're better than the stock 275 Pirrellis, and they're better than the Nitto NT555 G2s. They arent perfect but for straight line get off the line acceleration, they aren't bad at all.
I know this video is old, But I've tried those nittos before on my ls1. Bought some cheap federals, And they gripped better than those nittos. And another thing, It doesn't matter if you heat street tires up, it won't make any difference.
Quick question: How long did you drive on the new Nittos before you tried the timed runs? Long enough to scrub the mold release from the rubber tread compound? All new tires will have a bit of a lubricant embedded in the rubber to get them to cleanly release from the molds during the manufacturing process. Great video. Keep them coming.
I believe it was about a week. Maybe a little more. Thats good info though and I didn't know that. Its been about a year with them now and I still feel they have sub par gripping capability compared to the Firestones.

Has anyone put on the Pilot Sport4S and been disappointed or just happy with the alternative? I’m not wealthy or a Michelin snob but I feel lots of guys justify the other tires without trying the Pilots! A lot of reputable testers always rate Michelin the best. I couldn’t believe how great they handled bumps on secondary roads vs stock tires. All good guys!
Put some heat in those nittos.
mexico is a nice place to visit if you like cars
Viva la 🇲🇽 😁
12 gt
Nt555 g2s are overrated tires .. I have them on my 18 5.0 . They spin way too much .. just ordered the continental extreme contact sports .
I agree! I'm trying this out next. Gotta find the perfect tie to get the power down. Thanks for watching
@PJ USAF89 Exactly why i'm running them on the FRONT ONLY on my 6 gen ss camaro. i do canyon runs in my car, but i like to be able to rip in a straight line too i'm running pirelli pzero run flats in the back, they're not bad, but i know i can find better. especially for that price range.
Your tires are too inflated
Keep on burning tires 🤦🏾♀️🤣😂❤️
Just a lil test lol
Mr. Anderson is Fully Auto 🤣🤣
Neattos? lol (Niddos)
I would be more mad at myself for driving an automatic in such a slow car, than the tire choice....
And thats your POS VW GTI 🙄? 👌 🆗️. Upgrade then talk. Your car has a vagina. 200hp please.
Mr. Anderson is Fully Auto would you like to come race me? Lol? If you want to make assumptions on what kind of power my GTI has, then come find me. You could have at least gone and watched some videos on my channel, and then realized I’m not stock, but nope lol. Seems like your intellectual level is just as good as driving an automatic car...
Your pile of junk, at best, on the Firestone tires was pulling 4.7sec 0-60mph’s, and over 5sec now. Your crap ain’t fast! My stock 18 year old M3 does that, and with a manual too haha! Lol Go home man. You ain’t no real car guy.
So you're saying it has apussy. My bad. Either way it's a weak POS.
Imagine being so upset that someone drives an auto that you watch their video and then cry in the comment section.
You are talking shit with a vw.... dude. 😂💀
Get to a track. Don't listen to your dumb gauge dodge gives you.
