Better lucky than good is my motto in life, so glad it came in at #5. I hope Mo is just holding out for a better deal for Arenado and Helsey. They are both worth getting a better deal than Robertson/Santos. I believe in going with the kids but still need to reinvest in one or two players to add to the team if not gotten in the trades.
I'm curious B-Schaeff, more of your personal take then your journalistic taste (even though I'm sure the two are conveniently intertwined)….in terms of players, who are your top 3 cause for concerns? and top 3 glimmers of hope?
I hope they take a college player. Cleveland takes high schoolers often in the draft and they haven't had much luck with them according to the Locked on Guardians fellas. If a team can make the Cardinals pay for leaving a guy unprotected the Brewers can do it
It's 100% always better to be lucky than good... I'm hoping the cards can pull a future top end starter and a young 5 tool outfield prospect ... Imagine an OF of a 5 tool kid + Walker Scott Siani. That's instantly the most athletic OF in baseball.
I'd rather win 83 games and get the 13th pick than win 70 games and get a top pick. It drives me crazy that there's incentive to fail. I wish they'd do the lottery odds in reverse where the worst record has the lowest chance to get the #1 pick (amongst non-playoff teams and probably not luxury tax payers).
Holiday & LaViolette are going 1/2 & both college starters most likely 3-4, if not we need whichever is left. Most likely Summerhill at 5 & im more than happyvwith that pic too.

I really like Jace Laviolette from Texas A&M
Me too but unfortunately he will be gone.
I believe the baseball gods have given us this gift as an apology for having to deal with Mo for another year.
Thanks for the members first pod B 😊 And, I'm not a farmer or have a log cabin, but if I did, I'd definitely call on your great sponsors 👍

Puts some fun in draft day.

Well this is good news will take it
There are 3 real good pitchers IMO. They do NOT need an OF.
Will they go after first basemen Kurtz from Wake Forrest or Condon from Georgia or pitching with that 5th pick?
Those players were drafted last year. You gotta look at a 2025 list lol

A lot can change with a season of baseball!
It a good pick 😊
As long as Mo doesn't make the pick!
Best starting flipping pitcher available!!!!!!!!!! :=8O
