You really need to buy an Ultrasonic cleaner to better clean your carburetors. Using carb cleaner isn't the best way to thoroughly clean all of the passage ways. Then use an airgun with your compressor to remove any water.
They don't make them like this anymore! Love these old classics!

Deck is in good shape most of the decks on them are gone
Just add gas and a jump then it starts . Can not beat that at 40 years old . Good job on the carb it made a big difference .

Take the engine shroud off and check for mice nests, you will overheat and burn up the engine if there is one.
It's not hard to fix them when there's nothing wrong with them to start with !
It does make it easier, lol!

I actually do have one, but I wasn’t super impressed with it. I should probably experiment with it again!
I add the Harbor Freight ultrasonic powder to the water and be sure your using hot water
