If only all stumps would fall apart this easy. I am surely impressed by your chainsaw skills and hard work ethic. I'm sure you earn every dollar you get paid.
dude... the ignorance level you must have to be so arrogant and sarcastic towards an individual who obviously has WAY more skill than you is crazy. How dare you. 😂
@@be4udie03 -- I don't know if you are joking. I expressed no sarcasm. I truly think this guy has great chainsaw skills and hard work ethic, and that he earns every penny. I would recommend him without reservation.
I was cutting down a old Mulberry tree down yesterday and the old stump was completely rotten and the stump came easy i was useing my stihl 201t mtronic top handle saw with a 16inch bar and chain the stump came out easy
Wild Thing. A poulan. AKA. “ A pullin” to start it up. . I had a “Wild Thing” given to me by in laws for Christmas. Meant well. Affordable gift from Tractor Supply. Complete trash saws Burnt out the 1st day I used it. Poulan is a great way to dismay users from learning the craft. I left it on the pickup bed of my truck and on the porch swing for 6 months. No one wanted it either. Except the scrap yard. LOL.
@@TXGladiators sounds like you either had a dud (common) or you didn’t know how to tune your carburetor. You can’t just run a saw and expect it to last. Your chain and tuning must be in tune
They are all trash saws. That’’s why saws were changed to use dig roots out on dirt on this video with the WILD THING. I use the reciprocating saw for roots not my Stihl, Echo or Husky chainsaws. That’s blasphemy in the chainsaw unless it’s a Poulin.
I was cutting our 25 yr old Ash tree not dead up to ground level like yours. I also like to cut it in pieces but my small 14 inch chainsaw could not handle it anymore because it's too hard. I have this because it's light weight. What is the size and Amp of your chainsaw?
This depends on the tree species. Some trees will continue growing without the stump. Others will die off. I always recommend cutting tree down low and making lots of drill holes in the stump to hold water and help rotting. Also cut roots as much as possible. You can also use stump killer from lowes
I have a 20y old plum tree stump.. it wouldn't bother me if there wasn't something else growing up from the roots.. So I get this bush with something idk what in the MIDDLE of where we walk.. annoying.. Will try this! I have proper Fiskars tools & vacation.. 😅
But what if the stump is not rotten and indeed is rock solid (which is only the case 99% of the time). . . . I have used this method before but it wouldn't be as nearly sufficient at all for destroying a stump. It simply may be seen as an alternative to putting multiple holes (perhaps by a drill) in the stump to prepare it for further steps (adding chemicals, fuel etc.).
@@fUjiMaNia it’s an old crappy poulan wild thing 40cc. I ported it but it’s really just about the chain and how well you can file it and get it sharp. Thanks for watching!

Good thing you have that face shield there sitting on your helmet. I imagine that cuts down on the glare with it pulled up like that. Brilliant

Very helpful information, thanks!
Rockin that Homelite!! Nice work!! You make it through the hurricane ok?
Yes, thanks
You're good with that saw but it's frustrating watching you cut with the face shield cocked up. You only get two eyes in life
I know I know haha. Thank you
Not to mention the lack of chaps while crawling low to the ground. One slip up and the day's over.
I gotta Wild Thang from Poulan for a farm saw and it works exceptional. My dads got a Echo and it’s junk
With chainsaws I have learned it’s the luck of the draw. But yeah wild things just need tlc but once cared for they run great

How is your chain not getting ruined by the dirt?
I specially file chains for doing this with a super low rakers and a deep hook in the tooth.
@@AdvancedLawn Do you have a video showing that? Not dulling the saw after the first few dirt strikes seems to be the real magic.
@@bedwards1000 I do. I have many videos going over my filing approach. People always made fun of how I do it but the proofs in the pudding.
That is awesome…

If there is any stump leftover underground that will keep new sod from growing, correct? And will the roots remain alive unless you use stump killer?

Haha yeah those are called water sprouts. Cut or drill a hole in the stump and roots then add stump killer.

The visor that is tipped up provides NO protection for the eyes against flying splinters. It’s there for a reason…

Wow those arms
How to remove a stump without a grinder? Sure, if the tree's been dead for a few years and has already rotted.
Thanks for watching
You know that black fungus growth is cachanga and is used as a tea supplement worth big bucks....200 bucks right there on the stump
Tha subj starts at 2:20
Thanks man
I don’t have a chain saw.
I think I would be more comfortable with an ads than a chain saw... Other than falling the tree..
Was bro using a chainsaw or a lightsaber??? 😅 I need model and chainsaw type or maker asap
The green one I’m referring to … ryobi?

Its EZ with rotten wood. Even a sledgehammer could get er done. Haha
Let me see it done on Oak or Hardwood.

Rotten as it was you could have just kicked it
You’d think. But it was holding up a tree we cut down and was still very intact. Softer yes but not totally rotten
