    But id think ideally you’d want everyone to buy it, so yes everyone would be an ideal customer, any customer is an ideal customer, because having a customer is an ideal situation

      Obviously in an ideal world, you’d want everyone to be a customer. Some businesses/products have broader audiences than others. But you’ll find trying to target ‘everyone’ will result in your marketing budget running out very quickly. Let’s say you have a set budget for online ads, you’d much rather your money was spent on people who are more likely to be interested in your products. Particularly for smaller businesses, every penny counts. If you focus your budget on targeting those people who are more likely to convert into sales, overtime, as you become more profitable, you could then explore new audiences as your budget grows.
