I'm currently on week 8 of Freetress Joyful curl. I finally found a replacement for my go to hair, which was discontinued.
How did it look at 8 weeks? I want to get microbraids. Thank you!
@ReneeSelah I ended up wearing it 10 weeks because I got sick. This was with the hair cut in half. It looked the exact same as it did when it was installed, other than my hair growing out. At full length I did 7 weeks. I did have to do minimal maintenance since it was long, but the hair still looked good. I'd put a hat on to cover my hair growing out and it looked like my hair was fresh.
Lia, another YTuber who does crochet hair said the EXACT same thing you said about Afri Aruba Soft Deep. She even said she couldn't keep it in more than a week because even with her knotting it three times and doing small sections, she said it was STILL loose. Each day she would go back and try to tighten the knots, but if she ran her fingers through the hair, then strands would come out.
This is a shame because I like the curl pattern of the Aruba Soft Deep the best and to me it looked the MOST like your natural hair. I would never have guessed if I didn't know you that it wasn't your come-out-the-scalp hair, though because you bought the hair ...all these hairs then it's your hair. Possession is 9/10ths of the law. 😅😊😂
I have beach curl in now. The hair sheds a lot. I been pulling out knots. 2 weeks in I had to give it a trim. I will sayyyyyyyyy...... This hair has gotten the most comments ever! I wore it before - years ago- and don't recall it shedding like this. I've seen a couple in this video that I want to try. Thanks for sharing!.
I said the same! Beach curl did not use to shed like crazy. The company changed something. It use to be my fav but I can’t take the shedding now
I love Freetress Pearl Curl. This is my go-to, especially when traveling.

Beach curl is "the Goat". I agree 💯. Now why didnt the Amazon Box Braids make it. I had the best experience with it. Even sprinkled beach curl in it for fullness. Joyfull curl's texture does it for me. I would love to see the human hair crotchet reviews coming to a TH-cam channel. Thank you❤
This was the best and worst hair I tried in 2023. I tried the Amazon Box Braids in 2022. I’m sure it was in my 2022 version of this video.
I have tried the free tress joyful curl a few different times and at first I didn’t like how big it was, but then I used it for a half up style and loved it.

Thanks for sharing. Try installing Freetress Beach Curl and one of Freetress curlier patterns for added volume while using less hair if you have them. Mixing colors as well.

Probably not anytime soon 😩 I don’t know if I mentioned in this video but I have at least 100+ packs of hair that I’ve yet to use. I really need to go through what I own first before repeating old hair that I know work well.

You probably have some hair folks want, but can't find any more in stores or online. You should have a sale like the other TH-cam folks do with their wigs. Just a thought.
The issue with that is most of the time they have tried their wigs on first. I haven’t tried any of the hair in my hair closet and the intent was to review them 😩😂
I don't if my head sweats, but the curls closest to my scalp tend to fall when I use beach curl. Is it just me? I end up redoing the front after a week.

Your comment makes 0 sense. Lia specifically says, this is HER opinion. She also mentioned maybe she did install the hair improperly, but it just wasn't for her. I appreciate opinions from non professionals because we are not privy to know how to correct hair like professionals. That's why professionals are who they are. I need the everyday opinion. If I need professional advice, I go to the professional for them to do it.
