Builder in a Bottle Natural Extension

Today we’re going to use Builder in a Bottle for an extension.
Now, Annette’s hands aren’t very well maintained so I’m going to show you the prep. I’m going to push back and exfoliate the cuticle with 2 different cuticle bits on an e-file. I’m then going to dehydrate the nail and then Base Coat. You don’t need primer because you have the base coat.
I’m then going to apply the forms and use Honest Fitting. I’m going to start with a thin layer on the nail. I’m then going to get a big blob on the brush and go side to side to sweep the product onto the nail and a little bit onto the form for a bit of length. Cure and then go the other way, from free edge to cuticle to build out that free edge. Remove the sticky layer and then do the other nails, one at a time.
Remove the form and then file the nail with the same routine as an acrylic nail but with a 180 grit file. Buff and then Top Coat. I’m also going to use a bit of cuticle oil.

That's what I do. I also like dip nails on tips. So easy.
This would be great for me as when I'm not biting them my nails grow well and fast. BUT the are pretty weak and thin at the sides and snap at the free edge either side of the nail. Be perfect for under gel polish

I love that you identify and suggest what shape would look best based on the size and shape of the nail bed and fingers. I don't think everyone gets this. They just do whatever the client asks for. (hair dressers too! customer brings in picture, says I want this cut/color, and the stylist doesn't mention your hair won't look like this, or this color will make you look washed out etc, everyones hair is different textures and thickness etc) 👍

I did my neighbours nails with a builder in a bottle the other day but could only do it as an overlay on her short natural nails without any extension because her nails were too tiny to put my gigantic forms on lol. There has to be a way around it surely? Thanks in advance, I love builder in a bottle & have been using it on my right hand for a couple of months now, it's not the Naio brand but one that's just as good 👌

The burning is not a problem, it's just for a second. If u feel heat just remove from light for 2 seconds and put back in and the heat stops. It's just the first momemt and removing for a moment will stop it and it won't heat up when u put it back in.

Will it work if you flash the nail then move on to the next nail. Then cure the whole five fingers in order to do one hand??
It could work, however, it is better to make sure that the nail is fully cured before moving on to the other. 😘😉

I've had mine on for 14 days so far, really good solid nails. No lifting yet. Not sure how to remove them though 🤷♀️
They should last the same as acrylics, of course, if done correctly 💖😘

Is it possible to use the clear Builder in a Bottle to encapsulate glitter? I have a design I want to do for halloween using some of your black glitters, and would like to give this product a try. And if it's not possible, can I use clear acrygel to encapsulate glitter on top of a Builder in a Bottle extension?
I saw this product on your website. That color looks perfect for natural looking nails. I'm terrible at doing acrylic. Could this be evened out with dual forms? I'm not good at shaping. My local nail shops do a terrible job at prep work. They barelybpuch back the cuticles and they get attitudes if you ask or complain, compare then to TH-cam nail techs.

My proximal fold and cuticles are so aggressive in their efforts to march right down to my free edge. What I didn't know is those "pulls" as I was calling them were them snapping back. I wondered why that stopped happening after I learned to do a dry Russian mani, guess I know finally.
I have had trouble with other brands of builder gel lifting quickly on my nails my nail tech doesn't understand why, if im prone to lifting would you recommend adding a primer under the base coat? i know in the video you and you don't need a primer as the base coat does the same job. going to get her to try out naio's builder see if it can fix the issue as i really doubt want to go back to acrylic, wanting to grow my natural nails :)
Hmmmm, who knew? All these years I’ve thought that was my cuticle, now I know it’s my proximal fold!! Of course whenever I cut it off it causes painful “hang nails”, strips of peeling skin.

How long would you make a nail with builder in a bottle Kirsty?. As some gels I have found are to flexible over a certain length, and I don't mean like real long, say to a 2 on your forms. X
I don’t understand?🤷♀️ how do you know when to or when not to use primers with gel related products? Or are you saying that (most people) don’t ever need to use a primer before gel because the base coat acts as one?

Bessy B you never have to use primer for gel. Primer is for acrylic, base coat is for gel.

I’m so upset, I ordered the Biab and it’s literally like it was half empty, I’ve done about 3 sets with it so far and I have to shake the bottle to get the smallest amount of product onto the brush😩am I doing something wrong ?
Is it as good as the The Gel Bottle brand ???
I've used both and I would say it would be difficult to tell the difference really. The gel bottle brand comes out a *tiny* bit thinner, but overall it wears/cures the same and they last the same.

Which one works better for beginners and out of all what one last longer and what one is more forgiving for the person trying to learn and needs more time and what one does the least damage and what one last longer, 1 acrylic, 2 Acura gel, 3 builder in a bottle please even let me know what is your favorite and what is TV he strength 1st, 2nd, 3rd
If you're a beginner start with acrylic. It's cheap, theres plenty of options for application techniques and its still the most popular one to use. Once you've mastered that you'll be fine with starting other ones. Acrylic lasts longest too. It does require more speed as it cures straight away but you can get monomer that slows it down.
Could you use this with dip powder? I know it is possible to use dips with a gel base instead of the glue system (and I do that normally), and I'd like the BIAB for strength.
We do not think that our BIAB will be suitable for dip powder nails.
