I'd never picked up any Four Horseman figures until this one. Here in the UK they're maybe harder to find but I never really looked, just never felt that I had the space for another collection so I didn't bother, but I did really like the look of their Figura Obscura releases. This one got me though, I've always wanted to see a book inspired version of the creature as a figure and I'm very impressed with it. I also ended up ordering the Red Death which arrived before it, good figure but I much prefer the Frankenstein figure, and I did find a pre-order for the second release of the Headless Horseman which I'm hoping releases this month, would be a shame if it was later. Even though the hair is book accurate and more unique I prefer the bald options, I just feel given the backstory of the character it makes more sense that he'd have no hair, but all the options are great. Since I've had a few movie versions over the years this one I'm going to display on the table/breaking free, the coat and extras are awesome but I feel it's a shame to cover the amazing sculpt on the legs. Also really glad you compared him to Theodore Sodcutter, I had the same thought and they fit nicely together. So far this year I haven't loved many of the releases I've picked up, there's been plenty of solid ones but very few had me instantly thinking 'this is a top 10 contender', but this one is definitely going to make my top 3 at this rate.
I don't think I've ever seen Four Horsemen figures in stores here either. If I want any, I have to order them. But there are a lot that have tempted me like some random Mythic Legions, Jacob Marley, and that Red Death you mentioned looks cool. The bald options are really cool too. Maybe because I'm bald I am just jealous of the long hair on the haired head. lol And for the smaller scale figures, I think this one might be on my Top 10 as well for this year. Picking is always so hard for me tho but this one would have to be on there for me.
@@mrevilcheese Jacob Marley looked really neat. For me I've found that in recent years trying new lines hasn't always worked out, plenty of them were only in my collection a few months before I sold them like my Classified Series figures or the NECA D&D line. I think it just comes down to no matter how nice the figures are, a lot of them aren't from properties that I have much in the way of familiarity or attachment to. In Mythic Legions case that's partly why I've usually skipped them, on top of prices and being hard to find it's hard for me to pick up more generic characters unless it's something very specific to my tastes, hence why I like their Figura Obscura releases since they're specific characters I have some attachment to.
@@tomtudorweaver1078 yeah I think that's why I haven't gotten a lot of the Mythic Legions. They are cool but aren't any characters I know. So they have to be really cool for me to get one. Also a lot of them have short legs for some reason. Luckily this Frankenstein's creature doesn't have that short leg problem.
I can't believe they took Drew McIntyre and turned him into a Frankenstein's monster LOL very cool thank you though I would be playing with that thing for about 3 hours straight I'm afraid

The new Horror of Dracula Christopher Lee figure has a fantastic monster party pointing finger. Just sayin….
@@VampireClown420 lol I have that figure. Haven't opened I'm him yet tho
Son of Frankenstein if you ask me.
