We have watched your TH-cam videos for years and you do a great work producing them.We like the longer uploads.better.stay safe and thanks for showing them.
We’re getting ready to go so I’ve watched an embarrassing number of vids. This is absolutely THE best one. Thank you for showing the roads. I would encourage showing a map when possible. Thank you for your work.
I had so much fun watching it. I think I've seen all of South Dakota. It's really fun, it has a lot of information about travel, and it's such a great video. 👍
Hello Traveling Robert😊😊🎷🎷🎸🎸🍔🍔🍦🍦, this was such a great presentation and I absolutely could not get enough of all those bison and burros in Custer State Park. The Needles Highway was something to see as well and beautiful waterfalls. I'm hopping that Crazy Horse Monument gets completed at some point. Robert, this was an AMAZING video. Thank You very much👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!
Robert, this has stunning scenery. Thank you so much for making this video. A significant place to visit. And, a trip to add to the list, for certain. As someone who’s just getting into RVing and has some mobility issues, you really demonstrate to me where I could potentially be able to go. I always appreciate seeing all the detail you provide, from the drives, to the landmarks, to campgrounds. Thank you!!
Gorgeous scenery and great wildlfe. The Burros remind me of the Dolphins at Sea World, if you don't have fish in your hand, they want nothing to do with you.
Robert, thanks for telling us. You have another birthday coming in July of this 2023, but it would be nice to see you two together ❤ before then, because we don't see enough of you two together enjoying life as we all grow older. Bless you both we love to travel with guys. JR & Gi
Thanks for the memories of our trips to SD. One of our favorite places to go and visit. Been to all the places that you've visited there in SD. So much to see.
I have a picture taken in 1974 with me and my family with Crazy Horse monument in the background. Looks almost the same except that the face looks fairly finished. My husband and I just last summer took a trip out there and saw just about everything you showed. We did also take a day trip up to Roosevelt National Park up in N. Dakota. Beautiful country ! Planning a trip to Yellowstone this summer....so I'll have to check out your Yellowstone vid ! 👍
I've been to the Black Hills a bunch of times going back to the late 60s -- it's great to re-visit the area with you. You're right about Custer State Park having it all, the hike to Black Elk Peak is a real favorite of mine. Very cool to hear a snippet of the Marshal Tucker song "Can't You See" at 48:35! I get that Wall Drug doesn't do much for you, but hey, that picture of you on the Jackalope is priceless. Happy trails!
Gonna have to go back . I think we just drove threw Deadwood- What a blessed life - Thank you for the more in depth scenery - Points of interest. 👍🏻😊😊 And I did not know Close encounters was made SC . Or at least the Rock earlier video ! 😂😂😂
I love the iron mountain road in Custer State Park, the views like you show on your vlog, sylvan lake is always busy. Love my birth state. Remember trips to the Black hills. Love ❤️ South Dakota
Wonderful video. Very well done. I've been to these areas for the past four years. I hope to visit again this summer. I really enjoy your approach to introducing the sights. Years ago, all I wanted was to vacation near the ocean...until I went west. For me it is a spiritual experience. Wall Drug is said to be a tourist trap but I don't see it that way. They make home made cake donuts that are some of the best I've ever had. You definitely should try them. The two dining rooms are filled with original artwork depicting western themes. I could spend hours just enjoying the artwork. I look forward to viewing your other videos.
Amazing Video! So beautiful little cities, wonderful amazing natur, scenerie, Landscape. One of the best Video from this places i have seen. I must look it twice ! USA is the Land of Dreams
Great video, loved seeing all these locations again. Next time be sure to go to the Saloon No. 10 and Mount Moriah Cemetery in Deadwood! (Where Wild Bill was killed and buried.)
Yeah I was me and my family my mom dad all those when we were Young and stuff we visit South Dakota North Dakota oil them every other girl pretty out there maybe one time I get out there again before I get to too old and stuff but I love your videos are you keep making your videos ya brings up memories have a good day sir
Robert, I am happy you share your travels and talk about the history! I feel you really talk the talk as I have followed you for years. I loved your Key West, Tampa, FL. and other travels you have posted! Want to have my Cuban Sandwich and coffee in Key West, yearly since 2008!
Robert, this video made me so happy as a born and raised South Dakotan and big Traveling Robert fan (currently living in Austin, TX). Wonderful!!!! This is just so well done. You really hit the highlights well (with noted exceptions of Wind and Jewel Caves). So nice to see your experience in the Black Hills, especially including some of my favorites, Roughlock Falls (& Spearfish Canyon) and Sylvan Lake! As a fellow musician, I have to point out the soundtrack here as well. Driving To The East is another classic, and well used here! What did you think of the Crow Peak IPA? I remember it oh so fondly.
I enjoyed your tour through the Black Hills very much. We took a family vacation there around 20 years ago, and it was magical. We enjoyed Lead's mining museum much more than Deadwood, and I recommend it for your next trip.
Great video! You covered a lot of places that I've been but I missed a couple of things like the mine in Lead. I'm with you on Wall Drug. I walked through it like you did and just wasn't feeling it. Lines were long for the food or I would have at least eaten there. I have heard the food is good. Mt Moriah cemetery is a nice little historical stop for anyone visiting Deadwood. You can visit the graves of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. There is a nice view of Deadwood from up there too.
Hey Robert, we were in South Dakota for two months an I think it’s one of the most beautiful states we went to. Watching your videos brings back some great memories. Thank you.
Another great video. I love the Black Hills region and have been there several times. Always something different to see and do. I missed seeing the eye of the needle on the Needles Highway in your show. You went past it several times. When we went to Deadwood, we went into the saloon where Wild Bill Hickock played cards and then to the cemetery where he and Calamity Jane were buried. Deadwood definitely has grown to be more touristy since we were there in the 80's and 90's. Time marches on I guess. Thanks for taking us along.
Yep, a dually can fit....just barely. Inches to spare on the sides with mirrors folded in. I visited in 2012 with our LQ horse trailer and stayed a Broken Arrow campground in Custer. Really nice campground for regular campers and horse owners with our without LQ horse trailers. Hoping to go again this year in our new Rockwood 2606ws. Planning on staying at one of the campgrounds in area to explore other sites that we didn't get to see such as Devil's Tower and Spearfish canyon.
We loved South Dakota. Custer SP was outstanding. You got to see a herd of elk. We missed that but we did see Big Horn Sheep and Mountain Goats along with all the other critters. Also, next time try to park at the Needles Eye Tunnel and see the actual Needles Eye Rock Formation. We walked the Sylvan Lake trail also - clockwise. They say a scene from National Treasure was filmed there. We visited Roughlock Falls too but we ate at Spearfish Brewery and went to the fish hatchery. Great video!
Hey Robert! We have been following your travels as we are new RV owners. We live in Sioux Falls. We wanted to share that the artist that created Dignity is the same artist that created the Arc of Dreams in Sioux Falls! Thanks for sharing about our town.❤
We stayed in a RV park in Stugis that had a hot tub next to your RV (booked a year in advance) and it rained so much the road gave away! And couldn’t access it 😢 We were so disappointed lol. Happens to us too, just like things are always under construction when you go there 😂
Thanks Robert for sharing your time in the Dakota and so many interesting touring sites. Next time you get to the Custers Park they have an area actually where the batter took place markings in the field where soldiers or Native Americans fell. A beautiful sculpture displayed explaing the history.
I really liked that area of South Dakota. Unfortunately I didn't spend much time there, less than 2 full days. It would have been nice to explore more places like you did. I did get to see Badland NP, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, the Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Rd. I even drove through Deadwood but didn't stop anywhere.
Another great video Robert! The picture quality is so good. What camera did you use to zoom on Mt. Rushmore between the trees, if you don’t mind me asking? Hope your recovery is going well so you can start your travels soon 😊. Always enjoy watching your videos, heck, we don’t even watch regular tv anymore, lol. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
Hello from Ukraine! Thanks very much for your filming!
I'm retiring later this year. This place is on my short list. Watching this on my big screen, high definition TV. Very nice.
Wow, south Dakota is a beautiful state. Never seen such beautiful rock formations. Thank you Robert for bring us to S.D. your the best.💯💥💫
You need to experience!
That's what I was wondering too about rock formation, on my bucket list for sure SD.
Yea, go see the freemason presidents. NOT!!!
Only really the black hills region is beautiful. The rest of the state is pretty much a big nothing.
MY HOME RAPID CITY THANKS FOR THE VISIT SEE YOU ON THE ROAD
The Franklin Hotel is a really cool building. The Legends Steakhouse that is inside the Franklin Hotel is a solid steakhouse.
WOW! I never thought south Decoda was so beautiful.
We have watched your TH-cam videos for years and you do a great work producing them.We like the longer uploads.better.stay safe and thanks for showing them.
Very, very nice video. Relaxing on Sunday night watching this drinking a take-out cocktail from the best ever Cuban restaurant-Mojitos in Louisville@
We’re getting ready to go so I’ve watched an embarrassing number of vids. This is absolutely THE best one. Thank you for showing the roads. I would encourage showing a map when possible. Thank you for your work.
One of our favorite summer RV destinations - have been at least 5 times over the last 20 years.
I live up in Rapid City and I can’t believe how beautiful this state it is just different and always has places to go
Well done Robert, one of your finest. Thank you!
I have silently followed your channel in the last 3 years. Thank you Robert for what you do.
Cool! A Robert and Eli shadow when you both started the hike around the lake!
This was a joy to watch & yeah that 1st campground was huuuuge! Thank you Robert, Goooooood morning!! 😎
Love your videos Robert and your great soothing narrating voice.
Commanding views! Love it!
Glad you had a nice time in our state. Thanks for the great video.
Wow. What an amazing beautiful place. That looks ideal. Love it.
I had so much fun watching it. I think I've seen all of South Dakota. It's really fun, it has a lot of information about travel, and it's such a great video. 👍

EPIC waterfalls Love this Video . Safe travels.
I loved that area. We camped in the badlands in a tent and we were the only ones camping that night. We could hear the coyotes howling
Robert Thank you very much for showing us this beautiful video as always extremely excellent work.👏👏👌👌
Another incredibly awesome road trip. Mahalo, tnk you.
Aloha from Big Island of Hawaii.
HBD🍻 Truly amazing vid. We enjoyed every minute, the views were incredible.

Yes so beautiful been there, would very much like to go again and with my grandchildren
Oh, how I enjoy your extra long videos!
Wow. Just wow. This scenery is as good as it gets. Thanks for a wonderful video.
Gonna have to go back . I think we just drove threw Deadwood- What a blessed life - Thank you for the more in depth scenery - Points of interest. 👍🏻😊😊 And I did not know Close encounters was made SC . Or at least the Rock earlier video ! 😂😂😂
My goodness! They did put you wayyyyyy! back in the camp ground!! I’m like y’all, like more quite!
Wow! This was beautiful. We have never been there, but maybe someday. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, a dually can make it through. Luv SD. Thnx Robert
This one was absolutely spectacular I never knew that Dakota looks so wonderful
I really enjoy this state park when I went. I didn’t really think much of MT Rushmore. But the I loved Devils Tower.
I love the iron mountain road in Custer State Park, the views like you show on your vlog, sylvan lake is always busy. Love my birth state. Remember trips to the Black hills. Love ❤️ South Dakota

Love this series, and what an adventure you had here!
Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Lol reluctantly, stopping at wall drug I would have to agree with you.... 😂
You came through our town of Belle Fourche. June 12, 2022 we had a tornado and softball size hail.
Loved the trip, brought back great memories of our trips out west.
We live out here and have done the volksmarch to the top of crazy horse 3 times❤

That Toyota in a tunnel was something.
Finally will be doing my hike through this area this summer. Wind cave to bear butte!
We didn't get to do wind cave this time but next year for sure.
@@TravelingRobert hike I’m planning goes from wind cave through Custer, past Mount Rushmore and in north to near Sturgis. I’m pretty excited.
Love you got a Flora-Bama shirt on.
scenery unique
Beautiful ❤️
Next time check out the Rafter J Bar Ranch campground.
