It's true! While matcha maker and laven-duh are two shades I would actually buy, with the cost of Canadian shipping I just purchase from the big box brands since they're pretty standard. (And I wear nail polish like twice per year, so I'm really not the target audience - all office neutrals for me lol.)

I love to do a base coat of linear holo and then the similar color of frosted metal on top. The depth of sparkle and shimmer and shine is breathtaking!!!

Green is my favorite color. But as much as I love cristine, I don’t like any of those green shades. I would prefer a more emerald or viridian green. The closest she got to my dream color was monstera and it was LE. I will not stop suggesting a dark green crème until we get one. And when we do I will buy them all.

@@Dreamfyre420 Hm, what makes them difficult to work with for you? I personally really love HT's linear formula for regular painting and for nail art. Their glitters are kind of a pain tbh but the linears never let me down!
@@Dreamfyre420 Nope! HT has a bunch of linear holos (all three rainbow collections, the electric holos, Featured Guest) and just the five new magnetics. Linear holos don't react to magnets. Magnetic polishes are tricky to work with for sure; it took me several tries and tutorials before I got a result I liked.

One of the things that sets holo taco above competitors is the transparency! Plus we are getting entertainment, as well as a physical product. I'd never watch an OPI or Essie stream, regardless if I like their nail polishes.
Full Charge is my FAVORITE of all the colors I have ordered from Holo Taco!!! SO glad I got the og multichrome bundle earlier this year. LOVE THE GREEN POLISHES!!
@@xoxjelloxox it’s similar to if you tried to do a mosaic placement perfectly. It’s smoother than you’d think but is super shiny. I use it when I don’t feel like coming up with my own combos because it’s so punchy.

The metallic flakes are all smoothed down by brushing on the layers of nail polish, not chunky at all, and with just a normal top coat it's so sleek and shiny and picture perfect. It shimmers like the scales on a fish, only even better because less textured. It's super hard to describe or capture, which I think makes the frosted metals such a hard sale. You'll truly understand once you've tried them, and maybe you'll be able to find a better way to bring their captivating shine across to those who have yet to try them 😅
I couldn't watch the whole stream live, so I'm catching up on the VOD and I am SHOCKED that Mint Money is the bottom frosted metal seller! Fake Date is my top favorite (if I had to only wear one polish forever it would be Fake Date), but Mint Money is a close second favorite to Fake Date. It's so unique and beautiful and shiny!
Also, I'm so surprised reading the chat by some people saying that most of the Frosted Metals are too pale--I completely disagree! I MUCH prefer the paler Frosted Metals shades because it lets them them be SUUUUPER shiny, and make my nails looks like they're literally made of metal, which is my absolute favorite thing. The stronger colors don't quite do that.

I think frozen benanas should be a seasonal polish. It should come out around Ben's birthday until summer (March-June). As I patiently wait for Zyler the cat to come back in stock (because it is my fave after OCB), I will be adding royal tea blue and lemon spritzer to my collection, along with picking up a back up of sea foam home. I tend to use sea foam home in the summer months (april-september, im in a desert, lol). I never have 2 of the same shade but I am sad to see this one go, and have fomo for missing out on cold shoulder last year. I understand tho. It is a necessary evil. I am excited to see what 2023 brings to 💿🌮!
Frozen bananas is SO pretty. I almost didn't buy it because it looked too yellowish and I prefer a deeper gold. But in real life it is really gorgeous. I agree it could be seasonal. I am so sad to see royal tea blue go. It is so vibrant. Like you, I am considering getting an extra.

I worked a lot of jobs where nail polish was not allowed, so I haven't painted since I was a teen because it was a pain taking it off after the weekend. Now that I telework, I can paint my nails with all the holo and fun colors I want. It has been fun! Thanks for selling all the holo. I only like glitter and sparkle manies. Also love all that data as someone with a research background!!!
I wonder if build your own bundles were included. I understand bundles being excluded so that you can see which polishes are specifically chosen but build your own would still be people selecting their favourite shades and toppers.

I adore yellow polishes, but most Holo taco yellows are way too cool undertoned. I mixed my own custom that's just warmer/more true yellow than lemon sucker and it's my actual favorite.
I wasn't expecting to see that many blues at the bottom list. In the past few years I see more and more people wearing blue. And personally it's what i wear the most and it looks gorgeous with toppers!
While watching this I am wearing Full Charge!! It's so insanely beautiful and it looks STUNNING with Lunar Unicorn Skin on top Also I had a important life changing meeting I had to go to and I was so nervous but something that brought be comfort was doing my nails and I did them in Full Charge with Lunar Unicorn Skin on top and did alternating nails with Hot-Wire Pink and it brought me so much joy seeing how cute my nails looked and helped me feel more confident and the meeting went great! I am due to start Cosmetology school in February!! 🤩
I hope that you will be coming out with another rich blue shade similar to Royal-Tea Blue in 2023 or 2024. This is the only polish that I was surprised at and feel really sad that you are retiring.
I was surprised at laven-duh and matcha maker, but I'm hoping they will release similar ones next year! (Hopefully not more warm toned or rich, the low saturation is what appeals to me ha)

Hi simply! I’m a total data nerd- got my masters in biostats and have worked as an analyst in the healthcare industry for a few years now. I LOVE your breakdowns and am stoked that you’re getting people excited about stats. One stat I would be really interested in is top polished repurchased by the same individual? To be accurate, you’d have to account for bundles that a person purchased as well. That would be really interesting to me because it shows what polishes people are using the most and like SO MUCH that they’ll continue to re-stock. Obviously the data would probably skew to top coats, bases and older polishes, but it would be neat to see which specialty polishes make the top of repurchases.

I'll say it again, you are the queen of pinks and oranges (and browns). It's no wonder (to me) that they pushed the blues, greens and yellows out. Personally, I like all the yellows and I'd think that'd be an especially difficult color to master. So I'm kind of confused as to why it's so low
I imagine 1. It's not a very typical nail polish, 2. It doesn't compliment many skin tones, 3. It stands out a lot, 4. Could clash with clothing, 5. It's not really a professional, fancy, or romantic colour for events (for people who care about these types of things, obviously not relevant to many but I'd guess it's why they don't sell well)
Bouncing back from the mental health spiral that has been the 2020's and really want to do my nails again as self care. Finally made my first Holo Taco purchase -- I have been looking for a shade like Magenta Jelly foreeeever and am so excited to get it in the mail soon -- with that dad hat purples bundle :) Thx mom and dad!!
Some yellows should be rebranded as golds. Specially on warm coloring skins the looks like it and when regular consumers look for polishes they would more likely buy them as gold that do a yellow search.
I love Holo Taco’s yellows and greens! They are truly the colors I reach out for the most. I feel reds and purples look best on cool tone skin and with my warm tone, I look rather pale. It’s a shame they’re not more popular. Chameleon Coat was the only polish I liked in the original collection. I’ve seen some other brands do similar shades, so if it sells out, it won’t be too hard to replace. Now, the situation with the metallics is just sad. There are so unique. I’ve been searching for another brand similar to these polishes and no one is doing polishes like HT! I know that most of HT’s metallics will eventually be discontinued and I desperately want to find another brand that does something similar. I’ve already have backups for my favorites (Frozen Benanas, Blacklisted, Mint Money) I can’t keep buying more. I only have 20 nails. 😆 Always appreciate the honesty! Holo Taco’s polishes are gorgeous. A little sad today but hopeful for what the year is to bring.

Lol, 4 of my faves ended up in the bottom. Blue Aint Slick, Full Charge, Chameleon Coat, and Payday. Payday was the only polish I picked up from that collection. It’s awesome!

Frozen Benanas is literal magic in person. I do a “gold rainbow” with Lemon Spritzer, Amber Apathy, Frozen B, and Peach Tea with Gold Flakes on top.

I adore yellow polishes, but most Holo taco yellows are way too cool undertoned. I mixed my own custom that's just warmer/more true yellow than lemon sucker and it's my actual favorite.
This is my issue too! In general I find a lot of the polishes a little too cool toned but mostly make it work. Harder with the yellows though!
I wasn't expecting to see that many blues at the bottom list. In the past few years I see more and more people wearing blue. And personally it's what i wear the most and it looks gorgeous with toppers!
Blue Freezie is absolutely my favorite color of all polishes I own. I always get compliments when I wear it! So sad to see it’s a low seller 😢
I love zyler so much i used that polish for the Houston Astro’s when they went to World Series lol 😂 it’s what in my mind made them win 🏆
While watching this I am wearing Full Charge!! It's so insanely beautiful and it looks STUNNING with Lunar Unicorn Skin on top
Also I had a important life changing meeting I had to go to and I was so nervous but something that brought be comfort was doing my nails and I did them in Full Charge with Lunar Unicorn Skin on top and did alternating nails with Hot-Wire Pink and it brought me so much joy seeing how cute my nails looked and helped me feel more confident and the meeting went great! I am due to start Cosmetology school in February!! 🤩
I hope that you will be coming out with another rich blue shade similar to Royal-Tea Blue in 2023 or 2024. This is the only polish that I was surprised at and feel really sad that you are retiring.
I was surprised at laven-duh and matcha maker, but I'm hoping they will release similar ones next year! (Hopefully not more warm toned or rich, the low saturation is what appeals to me ha)

blue freezy and blue aint slick are literally my all time favorite nail polishes and the only ones ive ever finished the bottle on, this injustice is devistating.

Hi simply! I’m a total data nerd- got my masters in biostats and have worked as an analyst in the healthcare industry for a few years now. I LOVE your breakdowns and am stoked that you’re getting people excited about stats. One stat I would be really interested in is top polished repurchased by the same individual? To be accurate, you’d have to account for bundles that a person purchased as well. That would be really interesting to me because it shows what polishes people are using the most and like SO MUCH that they’ll continue to re-stock. Obviously the data would probably skew to top coats, bases and older polishes, but it would be neat to see which specialty polishes make the top of repurchases.

I feel like certain color people are just more picky about. Like I love blue but I'm also super picky about shades of blue. But almost none of this was my data seeing as I mostly buy the whole collections.
Had to buy a back up of chameleon coat. Love that shade so unique and my fav colors

I'll say it again, you are the queen of pinks and oranges (and browns). It's no wonder (to me) that they pushed the blues, greens and yellows out. Personally, I like all the yellows and I'd think that'd be an especially difficult color to master. So I'm kind of confused as to why it's so low
I imagine 1. It's not a very typical nail polish, 2. It doesn't compliment many skin tones, 3. It stands out a lot, 4. Could clash with clothing, 5. It's not really a professional, fancy, or romantic colour for events (for people who care about these types of things, obviously not relevant to many but I'd guess it's why they don't sell well)

Finally made my first Holo Taco purchase -- I have been looking for a shade like Magenta Jelly foreeeever and am so excited to get it in the mail soon -- with that dad hat purples bundle :) Thx mom and dad!!

Some yellows should be rebranded as golds. Specially on warm coloring skins the looks like it and when regular consumers look for polishes they would more likely buy them as gold that do a yellow search.
Omg, green taffy is my most worn holo taco polish followed by blue aint slick, I feel personally attacked 😅
I love Holo Taco’s yellows and greens! They are truly the colors I reach out for the most. I feel reds and purples look best on cool tone skin and with my warm tone, I look rather pale. It’s a shame they’re not more popular.
Chameleon Coat was the only polish I liked in the original collection. I’ve seen some other brands do similar shades, so if it sells out, it won’t be too hard to replace.
Now, the situation with the metallics is just sad. There are so unique. I’ve been searching for another brand similar to these polishes and no one is doing polishes like HT! I know that most of HT’s metallics will eventually be discontinued and I desperately want to find another brand that does something similar. I’ve already have backups for my favorites (Frozen Benanas, Blacklisted, Mint Money) I can’t keep buying more. I only have 20 nails. 😆

Lol, 4 of my faves ended up in the bottom. Blue Aint Slick, Full Charge, Chameleon Coat, and Payday. Payday was the only polish I picked up from that collection. It’s awesome!
