Imagine if Dio didn't die, had a major character development, lived, (Jonathan still somehow dies because reasons) then loved, praised and raised his son properly because even canon DIO wouldn't want to be someone like his dad Dario.
I can see it happening honestly, he had a look and sound of sadness when Jonathan died, still took his body for shits and giggles but he still showed care towards his brother if only for a few seconds, Dio is capable of humanity.

And also greatly loved his mom and somehow cared for Jonathan and he did befriend Pucci(even though I don't know if their friendship was genuine or DIO just used him), showing that he can care for people.
