Joe is a gleaming bloke, met him through the best show of the year imo at Newark. This is a great example of how the hobby gets you. Lovely pond Joe my friend see you again next year.
I’ve always loved koi, my dad had a basic koi pond when I was young and I’ve always been fascinated with fish in general. One day i’ll build a koi pond when the kids have grown up. Your enthusiasm and love for the hobby is brilliant. Awesome 👏
Thank you for sharing your pond, I like the clean design (I'm not too fond of the "mock Japanese" style) and the moderate elevation that allows enough window height without detracting from top viewing. Well done! Ciao from Italy
Thanks mate, I do like the smaller window, it’s a buggar to keep clean but I can watch the tv in the house and watch them swim by from my couch and also as you say, much prefer looking down onto fish rather than sideways on.
Crazy how I recognised your voice immediately before you came on screen, just from that one video you did where Ricky lost internet! You'll look back on this video in a couple of years and think wow, my koi were tiny back then. That's one of the best things about the first few years in the hobby, the growth just sneaks up on you and suddenly anything below 50cm looks tiny lol.
Hahaha! Yes I agree, it’s the part that I look forward to the most, some have grown well, and some have grown poorly. But that’s the hobby and the bit that excites me.
Thanks very much everyone for your kind comments. Hope to share more of my pond and journey to Japan later this year 🎉
look forward to that, Joe.
