Fan did a very great job by addressing the issue in a respectful manner and with maturity which is not even offensive at all. By sending death threats to idols ,issues can't be resolved.And I believe after this call they will definitely acknowledge the issue
Agreed, I think if fan calls are the only way we can get idols to listen to us then we should use them that way, irrespective of how they react at the moment I think they will still look into it now. Plus she was so kind the entire time I can’t believe people are sending hate to her online!

As an empath myself even I didn't much reacted to body shamming because of how normal it is my country. But through social media I am getting more aware about these issues and started acknowledging it, same goes to Enha.And we fans know they care about each other but toxic fans and outsiders wants to nitpick everything and searches for a chance to attack.And as a fan we should make sure that our favs hold accountable for the things they do and address them the way fancall op did.

The fan wasn’t rude but imo Jake didn’t do anything wrong here either. People assuming he “doesn’t care” because of his facial expressions or whatever are looking too deep into it. He shouldn’t have to apologize when (as far as I know) he’s never made any rude comments about Sunoo. But hopefully he’s talked about it with them. It’s just kind of awkward to bring it up during a fancall since you only have like a minute to talk to them.

It’s unfair that people are mad at Jake for not apologising on this call, because he was clearly [and fairly] shocked by the situation, and isn’t the one responsible for the comments in the first place. However, people angry at the fan who brought it up are also being unfair here. That fan brought it up in a mature, reasonable way. Other fans tried to talk to Niki and didn’t manage to. Even though Jake isn’t the one making the comments, hopefully he pursues the hashtag, understands the problem, and communicates it to the other members so they can stop.

The fatshaming situation is long gone by now but I just wanna say that yeah, fatshaming is bad that's why we should inform the idols instead of sending hate especially when it's clear they don't understand the gravity of the situation otherwise they won't do it so openly. If you have interpersonal skills, you'll observe that they don't hate but really adore Sunoo, just ignorant on the topic. However, we cannot speak for Sunoo so don't accuse the members of hurting his feelings or bullying him because they make *you* feel uncomfortable. The fatshaming situation was Niki calling Sunoo an elephant, which I honestly thought was blown out of proportion. The members tease each other all the time but the non-Engenes and Sunoo solo stans are sensitive when it comes to the members teasing Sunoo. Jay is honestly teased the most, Sunoo also teases the other members like when he briefly showed a poop emoji to represent Jay. Niki is targeted the most and was even hated and threatened to be punched when he accidentally blew out their Manifesto cake, which the non-Engenes spread rumours as if it was Sunoo's birthday cake. Niki and Sunoo used to be very close and clingy but now they're distant and I have no doubt it's because of the hate he received as a 15yo.
Just stan a group you like and make your own opinion, that's what I did :)
Although I agree a lot with the comment it doesn’t really show that you are educated on the topic and is just kind of brushing it off as playing and teasing. There where a lot on instances where they have brung up sunoo’s weight and of course I agree you shouldn’t listen to rumors regarding K-pop idols, these aren’t rumors there are people that can read body language and can clear as day see that man was uncomfortable by watching the videos and lives that belift put out themselves.

That last bit of the engene explaining what she said is very professional and not at all offensive. She brought up the statement in a way that doesnt point to any particular member and is brought up to Jake as Enhypen as a group. Meaning this is to be addressed by the group and company and not Jake himself. And Jake did his best of listening in my opinion, he wouldnt have had time explaining his thoughts about the fatshaming as we can see we are seeing them waving goodbye right after the statement the engene has made. Literally people just want to be mad, at the end of the day what we hope is that if:
- the fatshaming is true, they take this statement as a lesson and try to be better at least towards each other moving forward as bandmates. And that the company will allow them to release a statement
- the fatshaming is not true, we can get a statement about it from the members themselves in which the company will allow anything and not to filter out anything necessary. This has been brushed off as a topic from what I can see and imo it just needs to be addressed with necessary info so it doesn't get any worse and bring down Enhypen.

Whether you like it or not, they're now involved with fans. They are now part of the fans' lives. We all have this parasocial relationship with them because they're "Idols" they are role models that inspire other young individuals by sharing their talents. But of course there are limitations and points where to stop being nosy.
But this, they should know because they have big impacts. They are celebrities with big influence to young people. Don't protect them from this, don't normalize it. I don't encourage and protect my bias if I know he did something really bad.

@@SUNSHINELIX-hl8ds but this is what’s disturbing & wrong about the Kpop world. In western countries music artists are free to make their music from writing songs, performing at concerts & giving interviews & it’s ‘their choice’ about what they want to or not reveal about their personal lives.
Whereas in Kpop the groups are manufactured by companies which is based on their looks first then their talent. Before they even debut companies require them to sign restrictive 7 year contracts which controls everything about them, musically to their personal lives.
This is not normal, it only happens in Asian countries especially in Korea. What’s even worse is that they’re required to be on a permanent reality TV show where they’re required to constantly churn out content by playing silly meaningless games to entertain fans in order to sell merchandise & advertising.
Yet fans think it’s all perfectly normal when it’s not, they don’t think about the fact the idols are being manipulated by both the companies & the fans themselves. As what the idols do on these reality shows determines how popular they are based on their personality & looks, they’re being judged by the fans. The fans don’t think about the mental effect it has on these idols as everything little thing they do is being scrutinized by the fans down to the finest detail.
As I said the Kpop world is very very disturbing on so many levels, from the behaviour of the companies, to the fans & the idols themselves.

She is not doing that to "help" or "educate" Jake, she's doing that for attention and to feel good about herself. I hate using the term "Karen" because it's sexist/agist, but that's basically the best way to describe this fan. She is telling strangers how to act in a way she approves of. What gives you the right to stick your nose where it doesn't belong? You are not entitled to have them behave a certain way just because you bought a few albums. You don't own Enhypen, they do not work for you.
These fans are delusional. They think face-timing someone once or twice makes them friends.

why does jake have to deal with it? first of all if u forgot, he is part of the group. and as i remember they are his co-members right? he also have the responsibility about this. raising awareness towards this is a huge step.
