I think the fan should be commended for raising the subject, and she did it in a respectful way. I can see that Jake may have been shocked, especially as he doesn't seem to included in the members making such comments, so his reaction, plus the fact that he's having trouble hearing her, makes this look a little awkward. Fat shaming is never acceptable, and certainly not from fellow group members. It's what I expect from girl groups, but not boy groups. What really annoys me about the whole situation, is that Sunoo has never been overweight, but people assume that because any slight change in his weight, will show in his face first, and just because he may occasionally have chubbier cheeks, that he's overweight in general. My Chinese best friend has the tiniest frame, and yet people are constantly calling her fat because she has a round face and chubby cheeks, and during that time of the month, they become even chubbier. The truth is, if it's not his weight, they will always find something to pick on him about, and that really angers me. Sunoo is the sweetest, kindest, caring, and well-mannered young man, always putting others first. The fact that members constantly pick on him is proof that they're not a cohesive group. There is a difference between occasional teasing, and bullying, and I don't understand why the company allows it to continue. It seems that they like to showcase the chaos within the group. The main offenders need to learn what respect is.

I think that the best member in terms of treatment towards Sunoo (and apparently also personal values as a person) is Jake. I always find him to be uncomfortable when the other members make those jokes. Still he is a witness of all of that and he doesn’t speaks up. But who knows, I think that after this Engene told him all of this he had a serious talk with the members. Now they seem more respectful on camera, hope they treat Sunoo well off camera too…
