    im pretty sure that most social media or blogging platforms automatically strip metadata when compressing files, but if you're concerned with that kind of data having the potential to be intercepted, that's valid. Suprised you didn't know your GPS was recorded in your photos, I have a Samsung phone and had to turn it on manually. It's actually super useful to have the GPS tag for personal use in a photo library manager, it gives you another way of searching through your photos.

    My properties thing I was erasing photo details in windows stopped working right. Windows 10 was unable to remove properties from the selected file warning. It was a picture I took. My question using your method here let me be able to remove detals and properties. Does it work for videos to.. If u have a video using Exiftool could u link it to me. Thanks im going to try the photo first.

    I have a ton of scanned analog photos shot with a single lens camera so I want to add camera, lens and focal length to all of them. There seems to be no batch function to do them all at once, right?

      Not sure if this is still an issue for you, but the easy way to have it run on all your images would be to have them all in one folder. and instead of a filename at the end. Just use * or *.png/jpg etc. The asterisk applies to all specified files in a given directory.
