Ok so I deleted a bunch of photos 3 years ago and recovered them using recuva and now the image metadata is messed up such as the photo date when it was taken. Is there a way to use Exiftool to modify it so that the date is set to when the photo was originally taken?

Now I need to think how to automate this XD Edit: and make it available to all, where it does all this in 1 click

I have an Ubuntu syslog server which is in the same domain as my Windows server. From subscriptions windows, when I try to add computers (The Ubuntu Syslog Server) I get this error: The URL is invalid, what could be the problem?

something doesn't make sense here when copying an entire file and folder structure from source to destination. Have you tested out the differences and similarities of all data including metadata ?

im pretty sure that most social media or blogging platforms automatically strip metadata when compressing files, but if you're concerned with that kind of data having the potential to be intercepted, that's valid. Suprised you didn't know your GPS was recorded in your photos, I have a Samsung phone and had to turn it on manually. It's actually super useful to have the GPS tag for personal use in a photo library manager, it gives you another way of searching through your photos.

My properties thing I was erasing photo details in windows stopped working right. Windows 10 was unable to remove properties from the selected file warning. It was a picture I took. My question using your method here let me be able to remove detals and properties. Does it work for videos to.. If u have a video using Exiftool could u link it to me. This is insanely useful! SO many other guides are trying to sell us some kind of a Visual Studio plugin. You should make many more Forms tutorials for Power Shell, as there are tons of parameters. I'd like to see a guide for a "Wizard" - multi-page menu.
