Regardless if you’re religious or not, liberal or conservative, queer or het, I think we can all agree that we live in an oversexed society. There could be many reasons she waited. Could be that she just didn't want to, or didn't like anyone enough to, self esteem... I was 24 because I didn't feel comfortable with anyone to, I was really shy. So I didn't get that far in relationships. Everyone does things for thier own reasons. People saying it's cause she was bigger and no one offered are just being stupid.
Annie The reasons you listed are exactly the same for me. I was 28 my first time. For awhile I was "waiting for marriage". Then I realized the things I was looking for in "marriage" was actually trust, comfort, and genuine connection. So then I decided to wait until I found that type of relationship. Looking back I'm glad. Plus I don't think I would've been mature enough to be sexually active any younger than that 😅

Two things about this- Choosing when to lose your virginity is a personal choice and no one should feel ashamed of when it happens or feel the need to hide it. If anything, by her sharing it, she's showing other people who are choosing to wait, that it's ok and they're not alone. The other thing about this is that she learned, as well as I have witnessed myself and in friends, often when you have a dream, the most of the people you love and care about won't support you. Grab onto the ones that do and start that journey if it's what makes your heart happy! We need more support of each other in this world! I already loved Rebel and this makes me respect her so much more.

Hey! I know all about malaria delirium.😂😂 Had it like a dozen times growing up. It's refreshing to see it can yield something positive.
Malaria is seen as such a deadly disease around the world but to us in the tropics, it's not a big deal. I guess because the medication is cheap and it's not so debilitating if treatment starts early.
There is no shame in waiting for the right person or moment, no matter the age... I think it's more common than what people think, because some of us don't make a big deal about it. It's really no ones business what you do with your body or when. Life and living has so many important components other than sex.. congrats Rebel 🍼
