Agreed by far the biggest asshole in the party (formerly) is nemari , "oh your sister's the only reason I'm still alive let me just abandon the party real quick cuz i want that bag" I mean damn at least shiro was going for backup.
Laios does get development too, it's just subtle and it needs to be understood in the context of autism. He won't stop being autistic with character development basically, but he can still learn a lot about others and himself. When taking a step back we can notice lot of things, like the way this adventure is the first time he expresses who he is more. He's never been perfect at masking (or pretending to be "normal"), but he used to make it work by relying on Falin, among other things. Now he has to realize that he can't anymore, and he's forced to show up as this person he knows people hate and are uncomfortable with. That's the thing about him, he knows people dislike him, even if he can't always understand why. And he can't stop being who he is to be liked, which creates a strong dissonance. His arc is about that conflict, among other things.
i dont really think he's an asshole, that was mostly for comedys sake hes just stressed at trying to keep everyone alive witch they do explain but its funnyer just to say he's as asshole.
I love this anime so much. Especially the manga. And Laios. He's the best boy. Marcille Is A Walking Spoiler I love her too, but when I searched ANYTHING about her. I would get immediately spoiled. Being forced to read the damned manga 😭
Chilchuk is not an asshole he stuck around with them to safe fallin, hes just a dad in a midlife crisis

Chillchuck is a snarky @r$e, but he is quite useful in his trade... and the oldest relative to his species, making him a bit jaded.
