I personally didn't need much help when starting out with making fliers, and just today made a recreation of the Viggen jet in a survival co-op, but you're doing good lad. Most tutorials can be a hassle to work with, but this is great cause its beginner friendly
Let me tell how it went with making planes : 1st time : On my own - Fail. 2nd time : Added some details and remade a bit - Fail. 3rd time : Literally tried to make a plane from guide - Fail. 4th time : Used this - IT WORKS! THANKS MAN! LITERALLY WHAT I NEEDED! I painted mine in red-blue which is brighter at front and darker at back. I called him "Romance Guy". Also, I would like to see you build something like this one but bomber model. Thanks! :)

It can accelerate to 100 km / h, transmit radio waves, blind enemy units, drift through the air and carry one friendly unit. It has red and blue lights, 2 pairs of stabilizers, an indicative duck and a cactus. It is colored blue and red (with white details), the front is lighter and the back - darker. After crossing the darker variations from red and blue, it turns purple. It was created by LittleCornDogs Gaming and improved by Mr. Star Doge. While LittleCornDogs is producing Romance Guy's bombing edition, Mr. Star Doge builds a rolling defense platform to help the plane hide in critical situations.

Make sure the block with the suspension is connected to the bearing and not another block hopefully this helps a little
