Bilt this plane several months ago and now have about 5 flites on her. It flew very well so I went ahead and gave it a paint job. Flys way better than the FT Simple Cub, which was my first FT build, and even a bit better than my FT Tutor which was my second build..
Nice. Interesting with the voice over hearing about triming the ailerons, how it handled, etc. The landings looked real smooth. You could see the flare out just before touch down, nice. One of your best videos.
Nice maiden flight!! I had the same aileron reaction and had to turn down the sensitivity a bunch to be able to control the plane but I am a fairly new RC flyer. I admit that I have had to use the safe mode more than a few times to regain control after totally getting my controls messed up.
Because I prefer landing gear. A lot of the skill and fun is in the takeoffs and, especially, the landings for me. The gear for this plane just is an assembly that just friction fits so you can pull the wheels off, no tools or anything, if you want. To each his own.
@@thunker4603 Landings do take skill but I will use this plane as my beater, I am building one now so I think I will install the gear and try it out. Thanks
thanks for the video i am building one as we speak

I like the music, and voice :) Such a huge control surfaces look like 3-D
Nice 👊👊
Not exactly a floater. Sink rate seems rather high.
A little more wingspan would improve that as well as the roll response.
Why not just make this a hand launch plane. Saves a little weight and avoids pitch overs.
