Don't blame yourself for the water being out at Truro. It is always out. You need ninja planning to capture the 10 or so minutes in any day when there is actually water there!
can’t wait for you to get to bodmin parkway. so many fond memories of my childhood going on holiday and getting a taxi from bodmin parkway to tintagel… can’t wait. ❤
While staying at Hayle as a kid in the mid 70's the old railway line at Hayle was still down but closed and you could walk along the old tracked which still had track in place where you walked up. Happy memories.
Truro is amazing i visited Truro back in 2016 while holidaying in Plymouth & the cathedrel is amazing & im loving all the other stations which look very pretty and well looked after & the scenery of the coast at Hayle looks stunning awesome vlog
Brings back great memories of my time at college in Camborne 2008 - 2009. Used to love taking my bicycle on the HSTs and exploring Cornwall. The new trains and their useless bike cupboards will have spoiled that now. Keep the great videos coming 👍
Most railway stations in Devon and Cornwall have so much history and character in them since they were built. And how local scenic branch lines made Cornwall the best county in the UK to visit by train. Very nice.
There's a mining museum not far from Edinburgh that has a beam engine whose beam was made in Hayle and transported by sea - quite a journey in 18-whatever. I visited Hayle briefly while cycling John O'Groats -> Lands End back in 2015 but didn't have a lot of time to take in the scenery. I really should come back again some day!
I love Cornwall and Cornish railways. As a speaker of Scottish Gaelic 🏴 I love seeing all the Cornish on the signs. Great video Jen, keep up the good work!
Wow! What an awesome trip! I hope you had as much fun taking it as I did watching it! Keep the vids coming, my friend! That beach you visited, the view was just GLORIOUS!!!!!
Cornwall looks *so* pretty; would you recommend it to travellers from Manchester who'd be constrained to "public transport only", or is it best visited with a Bryn & car in reserve?
Ooh getting a lift in an automobile in train video. Isn't there some rule against that? Good that you like Cornwall so much. I only went there once as a young child, got travel sick on the way to Lands End. Not a good memory. I just remember Cornwall as damp with lots of windy roads.
I am so loving this series Jen. Caroline & I went to Penzance on the sleeper ( Penzance & sleeper was new for us ) and revisiting some of these through your vids is fab. Thank you, thank you, thank you. X
PLAYLIST! Follow my whole journey here: th-cam.com/video/yb6rIXaaEXE/w-d-xo.html CORRECTION! Several times I referred to the "River Truro" when in fact I meant to say Truro River!
Omg! I mean subconsciously I knew there had to be a CITY named TRURO and of course it was on the GWR. But idk why I never really understood that till you got there! Thank you for showing us the namesake of City of Truro #3340!
Ther view at Hayle is so beautiful but next time you're there try the view from the Tesco car park at St Ives. Love these videos, they're giving me cravings for a Cornwall trip.
@@MrGreatplum Oh. That's disappointing. The fact that the UK once had a specialist mining university (for want of a better term) was a great feather in Cornwall's cap.
That beach where Bryn dropped you off was SO beautiful! (I’m a water girl too!)

Wow Jen, your knowledge of Truro Cathedral was unparalleled 😜
Another great video; thank you!
Lovely classic old Cornish stations
Good to see you smiling and having fun, hope this helps give you the lift you needed xxx
Been to Cornwall on plenty of family holidays but never been on the railways so it’s nice to see some of the stations down that way.
Jen describing the cathedral as "cathedralesque" 😂 this is what I watch these videos far
Happy Jen is happy! I love it ^^
I was definitely super happy in Cornwall!
Thanks!
Thank you so much, this is really appreciated!
Thanks
Jen, as Hayle and Hale sounds the same I think it´s no wonder it´s windy in Hayle...
Nice semaphore signal. All the stations do look so well cared for. Some places could learn from this. Looking forward to more.
can’t wait for you to get to bodmin parkway. so many fond memories of my childhood going on holiday and getting a taxi from bodmin parkway to tintagel… can’t wait. ❤
Thanks Jen for another lovely video. Spent many a happy hour or so on Hayle beach in years gone by.
Excellent. I really enjoyed watching day 2 of your train journeys in Cornwall ❤
Great video Jen its a beautiful part of the country.

Brilliant video Jen, the beaches in Cornwall are really nice. Truro is also a pretty nice city. :)
Fabulous video, enjoying the series. As its showing parts of Cornwall I could not visit when I went down in August. Loving the beach views.

Great video Jen, I'm really enjoying your Cornwall videos, I absolutely love it there!
Love those old signals at Truro.
I was expecting a Jen video so soon after the last one! very lucky us
Did you know that there was an electric tramway between Camborne and Redruth once? Kernow’s only tramway.
Most railway stations in Devon and Cornwall have so much history and character in them since they were built. And how local scenic branch lines made Cornwall the best county in the UK to visit by train. Very nice.
I guess it's a little more scenic than Hyde Central 🤔🤣🤣🤣

Jen,
For an impressive tide, visit the Bay of Fundy. 16m tides are quite impressive.
Wow! What an awesome trip! I hope you had as much fun taking it as I did watching it! Keep the vids coming, my friend! That beach you visited, the view was just GLORIOUS!!!!!
It’s going to take a mega trip to top Cornwall!

Guessing you Hayle your own personal taxi Jen! (Sorry couldn't resist a pun) Really lovely video Jen and Truro does really look nice.
I see what you did there ;-)
Another lovely video, and that beach really looked amazing! Glad you managed to have Bryn drop you off there! Looking forward to the next one
This series makes me wanna go there so baaad!
Something to note, when you next visit Cornwall.
"Train don't stop Camborne Wednesdays"
🙂🙂🙂
But if you're lucky the driver will slow down so you can jump off...
Splann!

Hopefully you'll be able to get back again sometime!
I never knew there was a River Truro. Thanks Jen for a great video, makes me want to go back down to Cornwall not being there since 1998
It's technically called the Truro River, I just made multiple mistakes!
@@JenOnTheMove I was aware (i did a wikipedia search), but I try not to be too pedantic on comments, as it is so easy to make mistakes
Looking forward to seeing the video of the Looe branch:)
I did enjoy filming that one!
How about "City of Truro " the engine ❓️
There was a rather nice antique shop in Redruth ( up the top of the hill) , that was 30years ago

CORRECTION! Several times I referred to the "River Truro" when in fact I meant to say Truro River!
Some places in cornwall (more in Devon) next bus was 3rd Thursday when there was an R in the Month
Great video Jen and thank you for correcting the error in Camborne. Keep up the good work

Excellent video. Love Cornwall.
It does rain in Cornwall, but it is different to Blackpool / Manchester
At least Costa is only 10 minutes walk from Camborne station.
The windows are really dirty on the IEP as well from what can be seen on todays video.
Nice video again Jen!
If the colours were reversed on the Cornwall flag it would look like a sign on a railway indicating an open level crossings! 👍🙂
Very fitting! There's a lot of level crossings!
😊
Ther view at Hayle is so beautiful but next time you're there try the view from the Tesco car park at St Ives.

Do it! Go to Cornwall!
Trains Station 🚉
Have you ever visited any stations in devon other problem exeter st davids and plymouth
Marsh Barton 😃
@@JenOnTheMove would do any other station
Cornwall has only one city... Truro Or False?? 😂
Boom boom 😂
Have you done the School of Mines (Som) in Cornwall?
I haven’t I’m afraid!
I think the Camborne School of mines closed a while ago - didn’t it move to the uni campus near Falmouth?
@@MrGreatplum Oh. That's disappointing. The fact that the UK once had a specialist mining university (for want of a better term) was a great feather in Cornwall's cap.
Are you still around Cornwall this week I will buy you a coffee
Afraid not, this series was filmed a couple of weeks ago, but thanks for thinking of me!
