Don't fear the Reaper: Accepting the inevitability of death. The show must go on: Faced with hopelessness and pointlessness, but choosing to continue to go one despite it. Eye of the Tiger: Rising up past adversity, pushing to make things better, all as the underlying music. It's just masterful. Wonderful work Jazzwave.
I finally figured out why Freddy Mercury works so well here, and it’s the slow BPM. It’s not exact (I’m not a music expert) but it’s really close to Another One Bites the Dust. I know the actual song his vocals here come from The Show Must Go On, but it’s close enough that it sorta taps against the memory of the song.
The wheel of fortune represents luck, as far as i know. As it is reversed, it represent bad luck: either ongoing or incoming. The song from 0:50 is "the show must go on" from Queen: Even through bad luck, you have to carry on. At least, that's how i interpret it.
I really love your stuff, it's some of the best mashups I've heard. But i gotta ask. Is there a reason Freddie is one eight note beat early? It feels a little off to me, but I don't know how it would sound if he wasn't offset like that. Edit: corrected quarter to eight. Also. I want to clarify that mean that it's the "show must go on" part I'm referring to and that I'd love to hear the reasoning ☺️
