Taemin's voice is everything. And honestly, you must listen to his solo work, and then move on to SHINee. To understand Taemin, you must listen to SHINee. He wasn't allowed to sing on their debut single, Replay (best debut of all time, followed by NCT 7th Sense) as his voice was changing. He was called tone deaf, he was teased quite badly about it, and worked incredibly hard to be the singer he is today. He tends to sing in his medium register as he says his voice is too echoey otherwise (G Dragon says the same thing, btw), but you can hear his lower register in his concerts when he forgets to control himself (I love). He has a fine, delicate, and incredibly emotional tone, and now that he's covering some of Jonghyun's parts, his range has expanded even more. For songs, I recommend:

I really like Shinee and it makes me sad to see him in this group. He’s not living up to his potential. SM is trying to break into the West so badly that this is the 2nd English song. Kpop sounds so much cooler and better in Korean.

Yes, you really need to check out Taemin's solo stuff. There is so much and everything is pure art. There is NO ONE LIKE TAEMIN in Kpop. He has created his own genre: TPop (Taemin Pop)...lol. SHINee brought him up well. Start with his solo debut "Danger" then "Drip Drop", "Ace", "Thirsty", "Press Your Number", "Move", "Want", "Famous", and you definitely can't miss "Sayonara Hitori" and "Flame of Love". His newest MV which dropped this week is "2 Kids". He did a "drunken" freestyle dance for it, it was shot in just one day, and he wrote the lyrics.
Then with SHINee, he has a totally different vibe and voice. Surprisingly, Taemin has a voice very well suited to Rock. For that side of Taemin, check out SHINee's:

Hey Aaron, please react to SuperM member Taemin's new solo release '2Kids'.
I totally understand if this song isn't everyone's cup of tea (even though I like it) and it is quite similar to Jopping, but whether it was a good decision or not I think that was probably on purpose. The next single (Tiger Inside) is fairly different and probably my favorite SuperM song thus far, so I think the idea was to have the first pre-release single be a familiar sound and then switch it up with the second, leading into hopefully a very interesting title track. Based on what they've said and the track list, the title is going to be One (Infinity + Monster) which is a combination of two other songs on the album, Infinity and Monster, and considering the last time SM tried that it resulted in one of my all time favorites (Sherlock by SHINee) my expectations are pretty high. In any case, I think it will definitely be something new and unique from them.
yes I'm sooo excited 'One' is going to be a two songs hybrid, I haven't heard anything like that since SHINee's Sherlock (def one of the best songs I've ever heard)
Baekhyun’s vocals are literally on another level I swear.
So extraordinary as always!!! They have 4 main dancers from 4 different groups and super dope in dancing.
In my opinion what SM tried to do is to equilibrate their talents and vocals, because they come from different groups with different styles. For me this song it gives me a positive vibe, the MV is very cool, they look amazing all of them. I guess the album will have more songs, as previous time I liked the other songs from the last album. I think each of them is very talented and they bring something new for sure. Taemin has a very sensual style it's a good start for you, also Ten has more lines now which I like, Baekhyun vocals are just insane, Kai vocals are very nice. I really like how Ten looks here with black hair and blue lenses 🙏

Yeah... I agree with you. 100 is very similar to Jopping I guess SM is trying to familiarise us with this type of music... Cause it's an unique composition... Trying to set a trend as expected from SM artists
they have been using this style since tvxq, it's their style and everybody know about it and familiar with so putting two songs similar to each other is not good, they need to creat a new style, I hope the album has creativity ✌️

I'm not a musician myself but most of my family are into music so maybe my ears are a bit sensitive when it comes to music and when Aaron said this and that I ALWAYS AGREE WITH HIM because he's precise just like what I thought about the song. He has a good taste in music, imo.

Imma just say my opinion don’t you dare @ at me 😂. From my point of view, I could say Taeyoung is actually pretty good at English. I heard him talking in some interviews and I can say with some more little practice he could be at the others level (ten, mark, Lucas). Just my opinion ✌🏻.

I think it's an SM Ent thing. It's either you fall in love the first time you hear the song or you think it's kinda "meh" at first then it'll grow on you so hard you won't be able to stop listening to it at all.

To me it's like they're doubling down on the energetic side, like when haters say NCT is noise or EXO can't sing, and those groups come up with the same stuff and they still blow minds. Remember this is always meant to be a performance song (and this is a pre-release, not the title track), so it's more about the hyping than anything else. Like, I like Jopping, but they have better songs in their EP.
The first time I heard the song I was a bit disappointed by the chorus I loved everything else but the more I've listened to it's grown on me. This is similar to punch in the sense that I keep forgetting how it goes so I have to keep re-listening to it 😂

@victor s there are songs that aren't your cup of tea probably because it's foreign for your ears. There are lots of it and some grows on you until you don't wanna stop singing it. It gradually become your fave song and I was like that when I was new in Kpop.
@victor s I'm an EXO'L too lol. Something that grew with me is MAMA since I wasn't used to music like that but it was probably music preference since my friends immediately liked it. Some songs are just way ahead of its time. Songs that is weird when you listen today but if you listen again to it on another time, you'll realize that it's pretty good and it should've been released in the future cuz it's way ahead. Most songs of NCT felt that way, probably why even if their songs are great, it doesn't get that much recognition like how other groups does
For me most of the time I have to listen to a song more than once for me to like it
Usually if I love it immediately I know that I'm going to get tired of it quickly that's why I like songs that grow on me because ik they'll last (idk if that makes sense)
Oh yeah SuperM has their songs mostly in English because they debuted in America last year.. That's what I think 😅and I'm here for it but it sounds as good as their Korean songs in each of their respectful original grouos6💯🙌
Weirdly enough while I didn't like Jopping, I loved this song but I'm hoping that the actual comeback spices things up. I mean, SM usually doesn't pull away from a radical concept change so I'm waiting for it.

to be completely honest.. sm clearly wants them to have a specific sound for their tracks but sadly the song is just really messy. it's kinda similar to jopping too at times (and the same things apply to jopping as well). they put together all these talented group members but then give them mediocre music and it definitely also translates to the fact they're not succeeding nearly to the level sm wanted them to, it's a shame. taemin's solo music was so good but since he needs to promote with this group, it's probably going to take a while, it's sad, it also applies to the others and their respective groups.. idk. the high note is by far the best part. also, i've seen some of the comments below and honestly, experimentative doesn't always mean objectively good. that's a fact.

superm is mostly a performance group to push sm groups and sm itself and they're affiliated with brand with every comeback, like with jopping it was the avenger theme and now they have some collaboration with car brands / michelin.. sm already had a non permanent group like this: younique with max step, taemin and kai were in there already too and this was also affiliated with hyundai just for information 😊
i think sm is into this type of music now for superm.. like creating their own trend of music.. idk how to say this ahahah but their music is kinda experimental for me.. but i still like it coz it's addicting and i cant stop myself listening to this type of songs now.. especially superm, shinee and nct songs

No one's being mean here, everyone's entitled to their own opinions as long as they're not being offensive. Everyone here likes superm and all the members but just didn't like the song and they're expressing it just as how you're entitled to express you love the song.

I think SM created songs which catches up the advertisement line. Like EXO-SC's "1 Billion Views" - it can be used as music for commercials or gadgets. Now, "We Go 100" sounds like an OST song for movies or commercials for luxury brands including their visuals.
When you check carefully, Baekhyun wears Louis Vuitton (the one who has the highest voice). Check on the shoes though. That's advertising.
Hands down! SuperM vocals are the same even live. I dunno why they aren't that popular in America though they've performed live in Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel show.

I really enjoyed Taemin's voice varieties ..... Another thing, I really wanted say but I could not , so thank you for addressing... Yes , Baekhyun did similar kinda high note in jopping ... So I found this cliché ... best if they let Baekhyun experiment something new ... But yes , Baekhyun has a very soft voice and I love his voice.
I think so, too. It's a bit boring to always highlight the high notes after sections of heavy sound effects. He is suitable for better singing instead of abrupt repetition.

I actually enjoy this song but they really need to work on evenly distributing lines in this song. It could’ve been way better if ten and Lucas would’ve have more lines.
