- 🎥 IN THIS EPISODE → Tuckaleechee Caverns of Townsend, TN. Known as the “Greatest Site Under the Smokies” are the highest rating Cave or Cavern of the Eastern United States. Carved inside the earth’s oldest mountain chain. You will find the “BigRoom” on one end of the tour that could almost fit a football stadium inside it. On the other half of the tour you get to view “SilverFalls”. It falls 210 feet from top to bottom and the tallest subterranean waterfall in the Eastern US . I had just went there today and let me say it’s amazing. How an eight-year-old and a six-year-old boy had found this and it has already been in the family for 96 years!

My family toured there in the early seventies. We enjoyed it and this brought back lots of memories of my Mother and Daddy and how much they enjoyed it. They are no longer with us but I could just see them there having fun. I need to go again!
Very cool! I love caves! Never been to this one before. Thanks for sharing. You two should go visit The Lost Sea in Sweetwater TN. There is an underground lake that you can take a boat ride on. It's really neat!

Love this place I think we have done it 3-4 times. This is the one we recommend when we take family with us on our vacations! We actually had a tour guide once go over in the great room to the formations to show us a real size

Thanks for sharing! I haven't been to Tuckaleechee Caverns since I was a kid. Have been to Forbidden Caverns in Sevierville, The Lost Sea in Sweetwater, Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, and DeSoto Caverns in Alabama. Every one is amazing!

Thanks for taking us along on your tour. We have never been to that cavern but we have been in Mammoth Cave over 60 times. The low passages are not friendly to me as I am 6'5" tall.

Glad ya all got to visit there. My son used to work there when he was in high school at Maryville HS. I live just a few miles down Hwy 321 in Walland from the caverns. It is a beautiful place.

My wife and I took the tour many years ago and it doesn't look like it's had any changes. It was an enjoyable trip. Mike & Karen you need to take a trip to my state and check out some of the Mammoth Cave tours. Or drive a few more hours north and tour Carter Caves. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.

I’ve never been to this one. We went to Forbidden Caverns in Sevierville Tennessee which was nice but the best one of all is The Lost Sea in Sweetwater Tennessee if you haven’t been there I would highly recommend it. It’s beautiful, you get to ride in a boat under the mountains.

Been to caverns in Ky. but it was years ago. Very beautiful and tranquil. I am only 4"11 so I would have clearance with those low areas!!

I went on a guided cave tour once down in Alabama. They turned all the lights off.....😳 That was very scarey!! THanks for showing us around. I could never navigate all those steps....so I guess I'll just have to see it through your eyes. 🥹

We took that tour back in 2015. We enjoyed the cavern but our favorite was Carlsbad caverns in New Mexico.

I went when I was a teenager back in the 70's couldn't do it now. It is beautiful! I do remember at one point they had everyone stand still and turned the lights off. I didn't care for that

We did this last year. I thought we were going to have to call a rescue team to get my wife out. It is a very cool place but if you have trouble with stairs, don’t do it.

Cost too much, even for the locals! I live 10 mins away and have never been because of the price.
as soon as Biden lets international travelers back into the US with no vaccine requirement I will be planning a family trip to this area , I spent my summers growing up in this area and so want to bring my Japanese wife here as soon as Biden will allow.
You would not find me in there. I hate caves. Plus I am clostaphobic. Ya'll seem to be enjoying it. So thanks for showing me the cave.
We just went through here today. Not bad. #Ohiocaverns has much more stilagtite. Might be taken more serious if they didn't have 18 year old kids giving the tour and begging for tips🙄
