These are my thoughts. You are going to do what you want to do no matter what the comments like mine were. I can choose to be a “Yes” man toward you or share my thoughts based on your videos this season.
    1. For instance, like this video. Do you not see that Justin may not stay with you on account of his tardiness issue? It’s only a matter of time before he moves on. This will take away a trained driver and a trained employee on these yards. Then you had issues with your other employees not showing up for work. Most of your viewers are solo operators who are not going to deal with that problem. Before you want to expand you want to have a solid staff. So you’re not ready in that regard.
    2. You want to spend money on commercial property with a shop. Well is this going to cost $100,000-$200,000? How many yards will you need to cut to pay it off as an expense? Knowing the numbers will give you a more educated decision.
    3. It doesn’t matter if you are a solo operator or have employees because both will reach a limit. You have built your business to the point it is producing “golden eggs” even though it can still produce more with the correct employees without a shop.
    4. As you age your mind is still young but not the body to do this physical demanding work. You will naturally want to downsize and even go solo like most of your viewers.
    5. You will serve your family more by using your money in more investments that will replace your income so you can retire or semi-retire early.
So let’s imagine you buy the property and build a shop. You will spend “X” amount of dollars. You still don’t have dependable help that will be required to generate the money you will need for the extra expenses. Let’s suppose things work out but you are now in your 60’s. Can you break away from your business or even sell it? Possibly. But the end is still the same. Every small business owner comes to its end and closes shop. How difficult do you want your journey to be is up to you?
    That is the bottom line.

@@ErnestPerez-rg2uo I agree with a lot of what your saying for sure Ernest. Well put as always, my thinking is my opportunity to take my business to next level as well as making my business more legitimate/valuable with a shop. I would also feel more comfortable hiring more guys/trying guys out if I had a shop.. that’s my thinking in terms of taking things to the next level. It gives me more options in business and the property could allow for more investment opportunities or could be sold off what I don’t use. There are option with property itself.. its a risk but not a huge risk and with my past saving/investing over the years I’m not taking $ from there it’s only $ I’ve saved in my business in the my account now that I would be using. I’m definitely giving it much thought with prayer as well. I’m not going to decide until I know for sure it’s a great decision.. trust me I respect your opinion btw no doubt..
