Histories were written by the conquerors, not by the conquered; and by those who hanged heroes. So they say.

And why tagged it as a "revolt" if they were never conquered?

Why put Filipino flags in the image? The Igorots in 1601 never even heard the word 'Filipinas'. The Spaniards lead over the centuries: Kapampangans, Pangasinense and Ilocano allies until the last of the tribes were made vassals of the Spanish Crown in the 1850s... Why did the lowlanders help the Spaniards? 500 conquistadores... 3000 Cebuano warriors took Manila. 100 Conquistadores... 1000 Kapampangans conquered what is now Laguna. 50 Spaniards, 3000 Tagalogs quashed Dagohoy in Bohol... And we talking about a Philippines that did not exist as we know it (the term referred to Leyte and Samar when it was coined) and 'Filipinos' like our ancestors saw any affinity to any ethnicity other than their regional identity... Made up histories ...

Please , stop using the word igorots as a general term for all neighboring provinces under the region of Cordillera Administrative Region , not especially to us the Ifugaos - we never were conquered , invaded ? Yes but not successful because that's where and how also why we started what you call Guerilla tactics in fighting , my mom was pregnant with me when my dad's pa the then mayor of Kiangan municipality had these co ifugaos or maybe others too from neighboring provinces used such an exercise or a reality real like situation hostaging , invading etc. as a test to see how people will react or what they'll do when mom had been one of those quick to protest against the acts though she knew the leader's name , she was misunderstood as friendly knowing them yet acting a like pretense of false defense or fighting the wrong cause when she's not ,( its some part of outside hands on to be applied knowledge learned in college when visiting or going to other nearby provinces) as i said and some had nicknamed me what i don't like for what it stands for just because of mom's act , thankfully it never stucked though old friends or classmates of ma do so , those that still recognize me but i don't respond just stay silent or go away , oh boy if they didn't succeed back then ? You sure they will today ? What you call guerilla fighters the true ones - even if the old first ever ones that did fight are gone ? You never know if it will happen , it will if there's really a war they will truly raise up for the right reasons but thank God , really no doubt it won't , Car provinces including ifugao is too mountainous or full of hillside going up or down mountainous terrains so just saying , not to put too much pride or being boastful , its how we are and correction again to head hunting is and only was done by the very first ifugao tribes , tuwali , ayangan and kalanguya settling territories or the start and end of each owned part of what call their tribal territory of location or place they live in do they come in to fightings , then invading another's if take swift revenge , do you know the head of enemy is like a trophy as a show of skilled fighters strenght but that's why there were mumbaki's or native priests back then to do the ritual of protection against the dead head of enemy to not in spirit form take revenge , and they hung it the head as a warning to others not truly of boastful trophy appearances
