We filmed our 2 year update at the start of January 2024 to go over all the maintenance and repairs we've done on this vehicle, along with our thoughts on whether or not you should buy a W204 Mercedes-Benz C-Class in 2024: th-cam.com/video/wFRvrSHUbVk/w-d-xo.html
I can't argue with you there! When I drove this car 5 years ago I did a 2016 C-Class right after, sure the interior has more buttons and tech but the design of this generation just nailed it. Unfortunately the new design language for Mercedes-Benz is really just a Xerox machine, I can't tell the difference between the new S, E, or C-Classes anymore, they all look identical. At least with this generation they made each unique while keeping a common design theme across the models.
Which is precisely why this is the only version I am currently looking at. It is definitely more headaches trying to find the perfect model, but I would likely regret owning the newer model.
I ended up taking this on an 800 km trip last year when we moved, a non-stop night drive. Was great on the road, road noise could have been a bit better but I can't complain with mine given the mileage on it.
Have this car, runs and handles amazing, good gas mileage especially with the e85 gas option, only thing I’ve had to replace was control arms after 120k miles, everything else I’ve done myself oil, liquids, filters. 8/10 reliability. Tires changed too. Corners, acceleration, and braking are immaculate
@@Mafia932z yeah you might want to check it out I had a similar problem and had no idea my rear brakes were a 3/10 after Mercedes did a check up on my car. After I replaced it. They definitely bite at the tap of the toe I feel much safer now
I have a 2014 C300. Solid car. The only thing I dont like is the stiff ride. It gets better at higher speeds but city driving gets tiring with the harsh suspension rebound.
I felt the same with mine, I believe someone threw lowered aftermarket springs on the front. One broke last week so I replaced both front struts with OEM-spec, ride height is about an inch higher and the ride has gotten better. Took it on a nice road trip last weekend and hit 230,000 kms. I'm planning an update video once I get a moment off work.
I bought this car 5 years ago and I absolutely love it. The only major problem I encountered was replacing the rear subframe this year with only 68,000 miles on the car. Luckily here in the states Mercedes is now covering the cost to replace free of charge. This repair would have cost 6,000 dollars! Aside from that the car drives beautifully. I intend to keep this car until the wheels fall off. Once you drive a MB it is hard to contemplate driving a plain Jane Honda or Toyota.
I've heard a lot about the subframe issues on these, it's great that M-B USA covers it, we're not as lucky up here though. So far mine's been very good also, I've been planning to do an update video on it but I just haven't had the time.
Glad you like them! We've been producing TestDrive for 9 years now, and have done a couple update videos on my W204 over my ownership of it. Don't forget to subscribe to help support our growing channel!
I just bought a 2013 c250 coupe w/ amg sport package plus with 150,000 kms. cosmetically it shows some wear, but mechanically I was surprised how it still drives like a brand new car. handles great and has good gas mileage.
I had the exact same car. It was tge best one I ever had, PERIOD. Out of the other cars (2018 Chevy Malibu, 2008 PT Cruiser, 2012 Nissian Altima, 2012 Ford Fusion) it was the most reliable, best handling, and most comfortable car I've had. Great car.
So grateful that I can find someone on the taller and chubbier side to review this car! I test drove it last year, when thinking of purchasing it, and was devastated to find that I could not fit in it. Perhaps the sitting adjustments were just poorly made, so hopefully, this video will show that. It is my dream car so I want to fit it badly! ETA: No talk of the size? Seems you fit just well in it. Well, let me go ahead and start getting back into the search!!!!
This is now my personal daily drive. Yes, it is a bit tight for someone my size but it's not awful. Overall I'm happy with the comfort on this given the size, only downside is the door locks stick up on the trim, so when I put my arms on the top of the doors with the windows down those end up sticking into my elbow.
Looking at a 2013, 89k miles, no accidents, dealer maintained, tuneup, trans flush and brake fluid flush all done before 60k. The price is above carfax but it’s a beauty.
Glad to hear it! You won't be disappointed, I'm really glad I bought mine. I realized the other day I'm already going to be spending my third winter with it.
@@PRNTestDrive this will be my first winter and I want to ask how it handles with snow. I’m in Wisconsin so we’re going to get a lot but just wanted to know if it handles pretty good with snow and ice
If you do get a c250 sport my main issues came from the turbocharge, keep it clean keep your car up to date use a Mercedes certified mechanic and you’ll be fine! My main issues with the cars was the cheap interior, electric issues, the seats are nice but rip and wear so easy!
Mine has a bit of a rip in the seat, I'm thinking to get it fixed after I take the vehicle in later this season for a mechanical inspection. If the vehicle passes I'll be happy to hold onto it for a while longer.
I love these cars I own 2008 200 kompressor I never had issues I just maintain it like oil brakes filters but mine is more basic then the one your driving like no sunroof, cloth seats, no amg body kit but I like the simplicity of it and handles great and I do agree the W204 are the best looking cars
Very nice! I wouldn’t mind no sunroof honestly, this one has a bit of an air leak as I can hear some noise at higher speeds. My 7 Series also had a weak sunroof seal, I wonder if it’s easy to fix.
@@PRNTestDrive that's why I like it it's a bit lite on the wallet when it comes to maintaining the car and hope it's cheap to fix your bmw I really love it
Nice! I'm really enjoying mine, so far it's been pretty reliable, done a bit of preventative maintenance on it that hasn't broken the bank. She fires up every morning and runs like a champ. I'm hoping to do an update video on this soon.
It's hard to disagree! I love the W203, and a C 32 AMG is still a dream car for me but there's something just perfect about the way this generation was designed.
The W204 was the last of the great MB designs it was just perfect in design and also the last of the entry C Class made in Germany. My 2014 W204 sedan has never had any major repairs even the original brakes and pads I've never had to replace. It's no wonder why it's a quality MB.
Nice car. I think its styling has held up very well. I personally prefer the sharper lines of the W204 over its rounder successor. I have always bought used cars, but targeted cars with relatively low kms. My philosophy on that is changing though, as supported by your higher km example here. A car that has very low km can actually be problematic because of lack of use. A high km car may be indicative of highway use which is low wearing on the car. Even if used in city driving, a high km car usually has received reasonable maintenance to achieve the high kms. Regardless, pre-purchase inspection and buying from a trustworthy source are keys to risk control.
Definitely good points! Normally I'm the same when looking at used vehicles, but I had a good feeling about this one and for the most part I find that Mercedes has made solid engines over the years. I appreciate that Mercedes still offers their high-mileage awards, I'd be interested to see how the process works here in Canada.
@@PRNTestDrive There is a form online from Mercedes Canada for a high-mileage certificate and radiator badge. The form needs to be signed by a dealer. The milestones are 250k kms, 500 k kms, and 1M kms. I wonder how the radiator badge fits onto a modern sports-style Mercedes grill. It would be interesting to find out.
Not PRN but i try to keep my car clean during the winter. Personally i get my car washed once a week, preferably before a dry period (no snow), and if it's announcing freezing weather overnight i make sure to brush all snow off beforehand. That and brushing the excess water off my car after getting it washed. In quebec though there is no way to keep a car clean. Best you can and should do is try to keep the salt off of it as much as possible. And pro tip; when brushing snow off your car, don't use a brush style broom but rather a squeegee style broom. This will prevent any snow from being left on the car to get dirty and will have your car looking clean and fresh after a snowfall !
I do essentially what Barely Operational does, I just have to be strategic about when I film. For this car I took it through a coin-op at night when the roads were relatively dry/clean allowing me to get it as clean as possible. I then took care to get it home where it stayed in a heated garage overnight so as much of the water could dry off. You can see some snow/dirt on the rear end in the video, that's just from driving it about 1km to get to where I film B-Roll, so it's really hard to keep it clean unfortunately.
my friend has had one of these since 2017 and he hasn't had to do any big maintenance on it except an alternator. Drives pretty great, not the most luxurious ride (I'd go with a Lexus IS personally), the only gripe being the cost of oil changes and the such being more expensive. Sure you can get it done at a garage but when dealing with these types of cars, some people prefer to have the peace of mind of going to a dealership to get servicing done (don't heckle me on this, i personally always go to my trustworthy garage). Speakers on it are great too. All in all, if long term reliability or repair costs aren't an issue for you, go ahead and pick one up ! It's still a great car to drive and gives the power you need when you need it. I do feel that the interior doesn't feel the best but it more than does the job. And even though i wasn't a fan of the design early on, i grew accustomed to it and even started liking it over time. Great review ! You mentioned all the points that should be talked about in these types of reviews.
Glad you liked it, thanks! The ride is firm that’s for sure, there’s nothing special about the suspension on it. I’d be curious to try a similarly equipped 3 Series back to back just to see how the two compare.
I can easily return results for 150k miles for this car; what do you mean "if long term reliability"? Despite the actual reviews and ratings, commentaries from actual mechanics and long-term car reviewers, AND owners, some of you will simply not let this bs trope of mUh uNrELiAbLe mErcedes die.
@@IM-qy7mf understandable, my comment was simply made from my personal experience. We’ve always had Toyota/Lexus cars at home and they’ve all surpassed 400,000km with the only maintenance being oil, brake, and suspension changes. The three times we’ve owned German cars (Audi A8L, Mercedes ML350, and Audi S4), they’ve been generally unreliable, the ML in particular is at 350,000km give or take and I don’t know why we still have it. This year alone it’s spent a cumulative three full months in the garage for separate engine and electronics issues. So although I can understand that we may have been unlucky, it’s good to note that this is my individual experience with these cars. Maybe it’s also that considering the mileage we achieve with our cars, my interpretation of ‘long term’ may be longer than most consider. Oh and before it gets mentioned, we’re the type to do preventative maintenance on all our cars. It just so happened that the three cars mentioned above seemed more unpredictable than the others
I’m thinking of getting one (220k km) to replace my 2005 Pontiac vibe (nearing 300k km) but i feel like i can still squeeze out 2 more years on my vibe
I still see Vibes and Matrix' on the road, seems to have been a solid vehicle for both brands. I love driving my C-Class, I only get to spend a bit of time with it each week as I swap out press cars but it's been very reliable so far.
Not too bad overall for price, I'd say it's a bit high in today's market given the used cars have settled down from the high when I bought mine. Service history is important. I just had mine serviced this week, A/C system was empty but aside from that no major issues, still going strong at 227,000kms.
It’s more or less the same as this but a pre-facelift. Interior looks a bit more dated. Overall they’re decent, mine has been pretty good and I’ve had it about a year to the day now.
These have major issues with the rear main subframe rusting out, very expensive repair. I just replaced mine on a 2013 C300 with 65000 miles and well maintained and garage kept. Mercedes’ knows this major safety issue and refuses to recall because it affects all c and e class as well as others. Other than that a great car, Shame Mercedes’ doesn’t stand behind its products
Are there any symptoms that you can share? I notice mine makes a clunking/clicking sound when I start from a stop, and a similar sound as I'm nearing a stop. It's coming from the rear for sure.
@@PRNTestDrive it’s definitely noticeable if you brake hard on the highway, the rear of the vehicle starts to fish tale dangerously, it’s started with some clunking noises but I never had it checked out
Hopefully the noises I’m hearing aren’t due to that. I did take the car to my local dealer last month since I had bought it used without being able to mechanically inspect it myself. I know the technician focused on the engine/oil change and noted on a small oil leak, but I have to imagine if they spotted a significant issue with the suspension/frame they’d have let me know. I did a tire swap at the same time so they’d have been around the rear. The car needs to make an 800km road trip this month, I’m confident it’ll have no issues.
I recently bought a 2011 mercedes c300 4matic amg edition (i know little about cars, let alone a mercedes) as my first car for $5,500. I have to spend a guaranteed 300 for a new gas pedal part, and another (ballparking) 2-5k to fully restore it. I feel like I shouldnt have a benz as my first car but my luck is nothing if not improbable
Overall these are decent enough as a first car. It’ll cost more to maintain than a consumer vehicle but they do last. Mines currently at 226k kms and still going strong.
They seem pretty good overall, the updated generation has more tech that can go wrong but the engines and transmissions seem to be pretty solid overall.
2013 c300 is posted for 10000 canadian dollars. Should I go for it. It has 175000 kms on it. My question is how expensive are the oil changes and general maintenance. also, is reliability good?. I am targeting to keep it for 5 years. Add maybe another 100000 kms on it.
Sounds like a good deal considering I paid $9k for 220k kms. So far mine has been really good, we’ve published a couple maintenance videos since buying this talking about the overall reliability, they should be on our TestDrive Garage playlist. The W204 is generally considered one of the most reliable modern Mercedes models. Oil changes are once a year or 15,000 kms, at an independent shop should cost you about $200-$250. Aside from that I haven’t much go wrong, I did the brakes a little while ago, along with servicing the parking brake. My A/C has a leak, which I’ll need to get addressed in the new year, but even that with aftermarket parts and labour could be less than $2,000 to have it completely renovated.
So I have someone selling one but for 6k and 100k miles on it and replacement have to be is a new tire, and battery, and water fluid. So pretty much I be paying 7k to 8k car been sitting in a garage past couple months. Thoughts?
Nice video, Bro. From your experience till recently, would you recommend buying a 2013 C200 to C300 in 2023? And do you feel it would be a good experience for a first time Car buyer?
I have a 2011 c300 And it’s Been the best car I’ve ever owned. Reliable as long as you are on top of the maintenance schedule. Just hit 100k miles and only issue is the passenger door lock doesn’t lock with the key fob.
@@8MunchenBayern8 Wow. That's nice to know, Bro. Amazed by the durability of the Mercedes, truly. This Increased my confidence to try looking into them.
Mine's been very good over the past year and a half, I'm planning to film an update video to go over the maintenance and overall thoughts during the time I've had this so keep an eye out within the next little while.
@@PRNTestDrive OK. Maybe I will wait till your next video about the C300 then, Bro. Your Video gave a good insight as it is, on how good the C300 is. A newer video will make it even better. Thank you Bro.
I wish I knew for sure honestly. The rims are OEM, there are M-B stampings on it, but it's possible they were painted/coated. I do like the look of it with the black rims, really makes the car look sharp.
That's a bit on the high side no doubt, but it depends on service history and overall condition. If it's been well maintained then you shouldn't have to worry about any significant issues, but chances are you can find one with less mileage, unless it ultimately comes down to price. There's nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes.
Sounds pretty good overall, not too many of these are on the market with less than 100k kms on them, but the maintenance history is just as important, if major repairs haven't been completed yet then it might not be that great of a deal. Mine has about 227,000km on it now without any issues.
@@PRNTestDrive don't you mean if major repairs have been done it then it's not a great deal ? It's a friend's parents car who took it to the dealer regularly for servicing and no major repairs or issues since they had it for almost 5 yrs
possibly going to pick one up this week! Extremely excited. 16,000$ with 54,000miles, dark blue exterior with ice white interior, perfect condition all the way around, fully serviced on the carfax, slightly worried about the reliability, but I think it’s gonna be fine, opinions? (EDIT: I’m going with a 09 bmw 328i instead with 69k miles. For only 8,900$) :) test driving tomorrow
Not bad at all! So far mine's been pretty good, just took it to my local Mercedes dealer, everything was good for them, tiny oil leak somewhere but nothing to be worried about according to them. I've done 3,000km on it so far since getting it, and it's sitting around 223k km now.
@@PRNTestDrive I went for a test drive w204 c300 2014 4matic when I took a u-turn the car started droning and shaking. Otherwise was driving fine. Only eveytjme I took a very deep turn or u turn it used to happen. What do you think the problem is
I'll try to get one filmed! I've been pretty busy the past couple months between editing the new car stuff for James, working full time, and being in school part-time. The Mercedes overall has been pretty solid though, made the journey to Ontario without issue, passed the safety inspection at M-B London with flying colours, and recently had another inspection with oil change, along with checking the A/C as the refrigerant was empty. I'll see if I can make something happen early this month video wise!
It’s a common issue across these cars, I had mine inspected by MB Granby and again by MB London here in Ontario without any issues, going on 227,000km now. I definitely recommend having it thoroughly inspected.
Hopefully it's something simple enough, when I bought my 2001 BMW 740iL I got a CEL as soon as I drove off the lot on my way home, ended up being a mass airflow sensor that needed to be replaced. This C-Class was problem-free, and my S-Class has been good so far too, aside from a level sensor that broke after about a month. Enjoy yours! I love driving mine, hoping to get some work done on mine to keep it on the road long-term.
I imagine it's very possible considering these are essentially the de-tuned C 350 engine, I'm sure by now there are plenty of ways people have been able to unlock the full power without sacrificing anything.
Hey there, we recently did a video on this, going over the maintenance in two years along with our thoughts on buying this generation C-Class in 2024: th-cam.com/video/wFRvrSHUbVk/w-d-xo.html
I'll find out soon enough! So far I've driven about 2,000 km with this, which I know isn't much. I'm planning on doing a full tune up in a month or so.
We’ve had one for about 3 years and just changed the oil. Got filters from advanced auto parts. Air filters about 20$. And full brake kit from Mercedes oem is 450$. Btw maintenance isn’t diffrent from other cars pretty easy.
HI, the 4Matic was not available on a C350 sedan in the US, only the C300. The coupe C350 was the only model on the C class that had the 4matic available other than the C300 sedan, was that different in Canada? I do own various Mercedes Benz, including a Moded C300 Sport 4matic AMG avangarde, with the is 722-964 w/ Code 427 transmission. Not all C300 Sport package included this transmission. Which is the AMG Speedshift MCT 7 speed, multiple clutch unit, instead of the basic automatic usually found on the C300 . Also in other Mercs you will have the DCT which is a speedshift double clutch automatic. Mine includes the AMG suspension and due to that is a little bit lower and stiffer as well.
Yes the C 350 4matic sedan was sold here in Canada, likely due to our climate. We’ve found over the years that our market will sometimes get vehicles/options/configurations not available in the US.
Build quality maybe, I know some journalists have had some pretty bad W205s over the years specifically with the centre consoles rattling around a lot. This car has quite a lot of mileage on it and everything still fits the way it should with no squeaking or rattling.
I think the new S-Class also looks like a step in the wrong direction. I took a look at the one on the press fleet a few months ago and it didn't look as nice as the W220 or W221.
I have one and let me tell you, I flog it all the time. This thing is bullet proof. I change my oil 3 - 4 times a year, and I use royal Purple, and over tie, the performance improved. if you want the 205, start with the 2019 models. Mercedes fixed a lot of things starting in the 2019 c300 models. The did the same with the C43 AMG too. This 204 4-matic has only 250 horses, and yet, I was able to hang with Japanese cars with 300 - 330 horses. And, I am about to buy the 204 C-350. I really cannot imagine not having two of them----250 horses and the 302 horses versions. The gas mileage is impressive for a V-6 if you keep the eco on either in comfort or sport mode. But, the eco takes away some power. With eco on, this thing will match a 4 cylinder in gas mileage.
Hey there you are , haven’t seen you in a while ,I thought you had lost some weight and I was just seeing thru you ! I’m thinking about one similar ,but I have not even seen a car with these miles . @@PRNTestDrive indeed I did! Anyway, congratulations on your latest acquisition! Is this a replacement for your Focus Electric or is it a second (third?) car?
Since you’re the only one who figured it out I’ll let you be the first to know. I ended up selling both Focus’, the electric went up for sale in December but I wasn’t able to trade it in until a couple weeks ago. The dealer that gave me the best deal had this C-Class available and it made the most sense from a convenience perspective. I really loved the Electric but I ended up getting stranded in Montreal with it and couldn’t take that risk anymore. Plus some other things are happening behind the scenes here and it’s going to make more sense for me to have a car that can drive more than 185km at a time.
@@PRNTestDrive I hear that. I sorta had a sneaking suspicion that the Focus Electric was on the way out. Seemed like a great car, to be sure, but just not right for your particular circumstances. Anyway, congrats again, Nile. I think that C300 is a sharp car and is definitely you. 😎
Thanks! I'm certainly enjoying it so far, been nice with some of the weather we've had recently too, that added security of AWD with excellent winter tires makes a huge difference.
The ML seems to be solid, outside of the diesels. So far I haven't had any major issues with this car, it's currently my shuttle from London to Toronto for press cars, so it'll be getting a lot more driving.
You should see Québec then, it's one reason why I moved back from there to southwestern Ontario. We get snow, but nowhere near as much. Even compared to Mississauga, the area I'm in now gets less snow.
How can anybody say this car is beautifully styled its so plain and generic if you remove the badges it would be mistaken for a Honda or Toyota . Say what you want you want to about the W203 it looked more like a Mercedes than this thing
I have to be honest as much as I love Mercedes Benz especially the C- class I think this is the dullest ugliest looking Merc ever made. If you took off the three pointed and put on a Honda badge no one would notice it is so plain and unstylish as any Merc I've ever seen😂

Great car.
We had the C250 in the USA starting 2012 with the facelift revision. I had one and I loved it.
I love mine too, it works out well for my needs to get me around once a week to swap press cars.
One of the only advantages of me being 5 7 😆
Excellent video! Very good presentation 👍 I am currently on the look out for a used C-class combi, and this is very helpfull.
Looking at a 2013, 89k miles, no accidents, dealer maintained, tuneup, trans flush and brake fluid flush all done before 60k. The price is above carfax but it’s a beauty.
Sounds like some of the important work has been done recently, might be a solid purchase!
Just picked mine up today and I love it so much
Glad to hear it!
I honestly love this channel. Deserves more subscribers.
I really appreciate that, thank you!

High quality video!
Glad you think so, thanks!
I just got my 2013 in 2022 lol, the body style is timeless, kind of regret I did not get a C63 tho
No regrets from me, sure the AMG is nice but with gas prices I’m very happy with this as a daily. Enjoy yours!

Nice! I'm really enjoying mine, so far it's been pretty reliable, done a bit of preventative maintenance on it that hasn't broken the bank. She fires up every morning and runs like a champ. I'm hoping to do an update video on this soon.
@@PRNTestDrive Someone bought it. Kms.
I got you one for 10k if your looking still
@shadorenify
the w204 is the best looking c class ever made.
Ive just bought a 2009 c220 sport with 114k miles on clock, needs a few things doing to it,but hope its worth it.
Great car to own, enjoy it!
Very informative and consise!
Glad you liked it, thanks! We're planning to film an update video on this within the next couple weeks so stay tuned.
What I want to know is how do you or what did you do to keep the car so clean in Quebec's winter??
Actualmente tengo un BMW 328i 2013 f30 valdra la pena cambiarlo por un Mercedes-Benz C-300 2014?
So far I've had no significant problems with mine, it works great for the age. Might be worth considering.
Bro these are good cars! I had a 2003 and drove a 2013 as a courtesy car. I’m back to VWs now.
So far this one is working out pretty well for me, although I don't do much driving with it.
I got a 2022 GLI which is incredible and quite similar and cheaper
Found a 2013 c300, 191kms, for $10k in Toronto - debating on pulling the trigger!
Not too bad overall for price, I'd say it's a bit high in today's market given the used cars have settled down from the high when I bought mine. Service history is important. I just had mine serviced this week, A/C system was empty but aside from that no major issues, still going strong at 227,000kms.
Never seen your reviews before. Very well done man. You flow very well, very knowledgeable. Liked and subscribed.
Much appreciated, glad to have you on board!

Great option honestly! These are solid without major issues. Mine's been running great as I use it once a week to drive around the city.
Is the 2010 sport rwd Benz c300 , a good car ?
It’s more or less the same as this but a pre-facelift. Interior looks a bit more dated. Overall they’re decent, mine has been pretty good and I’ve had it about a year to the day now.
Please can I drive the c300 just like automatic?
Depending on your market they should all be automatic.
The c250 was available in the US
Fair enough, I can only go by the information I had available and it seemed that it wasn’t.
I own a 2012 C250 4matic Sport Pkg 2.5L N/A V6 and it’s a Canadian model only, the U.S only has the 1.4L Turbo i4 engine for the C250 facelift models

Merci beaucoup!
@@PRNTestDrive update?
Funny, I have a 2011 c300 at 100K miles and it’s been perfect
I recently bought a 2011 mercedes c300 4matic amg edition (i know little about cars, let alone a mercedes) as my first car for $5,500. I have to spend a guaranteed 300 for a new gas pedal part, and another (ballparking) 2-5k to fully restore it. I feel like I shouldnt have a benz as my first car but my luck is nothing if not improbable
Overall these are decent enough as a first car. It’ll cost more to maintain than a consumer vehicle but they do last. Mines currently at 226k kms and still going strong.
Is a 2018 Mercedes c300 a reliable vehicle?
They seem pretty good overall, the updated generation has more tech that can go wrong but the engines and transmissions seem to be pretty solid overall.
Im thinking of buying one found one for 8400 with 76k miles thoughts? Looks well taken care of and what should I check if I go test it out.
That's a good price if it's clean title. If you can find a c350 even better!
Definitely sounds like a good deal, always have it checked by a mechanic first though. Mine's sitting at about 229k kms now and still running great.
I’ve had mine since 2019.. What size rims are those? I have 18 inch and thin tires, doesn’t do good with potholes. Need bigger tires without rubbing
These are also 18", I avoid any road imperfections I can.

You got it ?
Not a bad price at all considering, not many of these came with the upgrades screens.
did you get it? would love to hear your review i’m in the middle of purchasing one same amount of miles n year.
Thoughts?
Seems like a decent deal overall, I’d still recommend having it inspected by a trusted mechanic first.

I really want one of these but I heard they have subframe issues? I also live in Quebec so anything subframe related spooks me Lol
It’s a common issue across these cars, I had mine inspected by MB Granby and again by MB London here in Ontario without any issues, going on 227,000km now. I definitely recommend having it thoroughly inspected.
Bought one for 5500 194000 miles a week ago , code popped up for cam shaft acuator 🙃
Don’t be surprised that’s high mileage

The diesel engines will last forever! Should be fine, those are starter miles on a car like this.
Any idea on a tune that will bump up things a little within safe limits?
I imagine it's very possible considering these are essentially the de-tuned C 350 engine, I'm sure by now there are plenty of ways people have been able to unlock the full power without sacrificing anything.
I have c350 whit 330hp thts about maximum u can go

I suppose it depends on how easy it is for you to install that transmission.
Sorry don't really get it about facelift models. Is it starts from 2011 or 2013?
Depends on where you live. 2012 and newer for Canada are facelifted.
Since the 2013 c300 model is basically a detuned c350, do you think if I eurotune my 2013 c300 would it be fine?
Possibly, I imagine enough people have done it by now that there’s resources out there to know it gets done right.

Couldn't say unfortunately, we've only driven the 3.5L V6 and 6.2L V8 AMG engines for this generation.

248 horsepower, we discuss all that at 03:01.
so wait the c250 doesn't come with 4matic ?
The C 250 I believe did, I've seen some around here badged that way. It might be different in other markets though.
We’ve found over the years that our market will sometimes get vehicles/options/configurations not available in the US.
the salt used in winter is destroying the rear subframe.
I know Mercedes has opened up a service bulletin for this here in Canada, but I never got a letter for it.
Mercedes of that vintage had a lot of issues with the blind spot monitoring. Just be aware of that.
Luckily this one doesn’t have BLIS.
Pls for more of older vehicles pls🤲🏾👊🏻
Definitely something I'd like to do more of!
What’s faster or quicker the c250 or c300 both 2013s?
The C 300 is faster.
As usuel , good job Nile.
Glad you liked it, thanks! I felt a bit rusty since it’s been a few months since doing a full review.
Great choice Nile.
Question, how true is it that the W204 is of superior build quality to the W205?
Build quality maybe, I know some journalists have had some pretty bad W205s over the years specifically with the centre consoles rattling around a lot. This car has quite a lot of mileage on it and everything still fits the way it should with no squeaking or rattling.
@@PRNTestDrive yeah, that center console thing is ridiculous on the W205!

Oof! We've heard that recently from a lot of viewers, they haven't seen our videos for a while. This one came out almost 2 years ago now, we've had consistent content since. Hope you get the chance to check out our catalogue of content you might have missed! We did a follow up video during the summer on the maintenance and repairs I've done on this, and we'll be doing another in January for the 2 year mark. Mines at 232k kms right now and fires up no problem every time, I imagine one with only 40k on it will be even better.
Hey Nile, so are you saying that this is YOUR C300?
I see someone watched the video right up until the end!
Check out our 18 month, 230,000 km update video we published on this vehicle here: th-cam.com/video/l0ak0b-5eoI/w-d-xo.html

Thanks!
-15 C and wearing short sleeves lol
I’m a special case haha.
I need one of this
I’m enjoying this one quite a bit!
Toujours worth for QUEBECCCCCCCC driving?!?!?!
Oui?
I just picked up a 2013 today with only 47,000 miles for $19K. Lol hope it lasts me. 🤣
Hopefully it does! I don't doubt it will, these have a lot of life in em.
I paid little less with 95k miles , no problem so far
how has it treated you
@@cshmar So far so good! Not the best on gas but I can't complain. Lol
@@jeff346 update ? Thinking of getting one this week
I would not buy any C class. Stay with ML 350 2008. Or the older S class.
The ML seems to be solid, outside of the diesels. So far I haven't had any major issues with this car, it's currently my shuttle from London to Toronto for press cars, so it'll be getting a lot more driving.
@@PRNTestDrive I have driven same route, coming from Texas! I drove to Mississauga, just outside of Toronto! Never seen so much snow there!
You should see Québec then, it's one reason why I moved back from there to southwestern Ontario. We get snow, but nowhere near as much. Even compared to Mississauga, the area I'm in now gets less snow.
@@PRNTestDrive Yes sir I agree with you! One winter in Mississauga, I moved back to Texas!
Definitely NOT reliable, I own one. Timing, Cam Adjuster, and Steering Lock issues to deal with....MoneyPit
🤷🏼♂️ Mine's been great, going on 232k kms.
How can anybody say this car is beautifully styled its so plain and generic if you remove the badges it would be mistaken for a Honda or Toyota . Say what you want you want to about the W203 it looked more like a Mercedes than this thing
You’re certainly entitled to your opinion.
The C300 is a 3.0L brother
It’s not
The 2012 is a 3.0L the 2013 and up is a 3.5L
Literally 5+ Min intro
Yeah, that’s how videos work bud
I have to be honest as much as I love Mercedes Benz especially the C- class I think this is the dullest ugliest looking Merc ever made. If you took off the three pointed and put on a Honda badge no one would notice it is so plain and unstylish as any Merc I've ever seen😂
