i feel like the consensus on hoederer is less that he's trash and more that there are just better units on the horizon (arturia, degenbrecher, ray, shu, zuo le, ela). he had to be overtuned noticeably to redeem the horrible crusher archetype, though he seems quite solid! unfortunately, he has a lot of competition in terms of roles/utility, as well as poor timing of release, but that's not hoederer's fault.
On the bright side he's not a limited unit, and if the pattern holds then the next big "front that was" banner is gonna be Stainless, Ines, and Hoederer. I just hope that the schedule is less stacked with great units then.
I personally find I can't even give a shit about the 'meta' anymore. I already have so many busted operators I hardly need more honestly and in any case IMO allot of the ops on that list are mostly redundant if you have a built roster regardless. Roll for shit you like if you ask me . There's more then enough OP shit already to clear almost anyway content brainlessly regardless. Since I roll on male ops as a matter of principle hoederer's ass is joining me one way or another.
FedEx was also called underwhelming but his module came in that six months so that died off quickly, I hope Hoederer gets his module as glorious as FedEx...
I want Hoederer a lot cuz his kit looks really fun and his animations really give weight to his swings, but I just can't miss out on Shu, Ela, and Theresa 😭😭
I loved using him on RA2 because of the stun, way too many bosses in that gamemode needed to be stunned frequently or it'll straight up demolish everyone anyway, he's a good laneholder if you give him good healing
Most ppl hyper fixate on ease of use and reliability too much, ignoring the fact that any unit in any game can be fun to use instead of just melting everything with op meta units all the time
One of his modules is going to increase sanctuary effect and the other is going to increase even more his absurdly high damage output (atk+, atk+ even more when stunned/bound). Base branch effect is either atk increase (skill atk+, atk+, aspd+) or extra life considering all guards have had modules reared to that (except reapers). Don’t think theyd do sanctuary since that overlaps with two of the crushers and would be either useless or overwrite the talent/skill depending on which one is stronger. Flat damage reduction could work i guess, but its likely to just be extra attack. Modules won’t “fix” him because there’s nothing to be fixed that wouldnt make the point of the archetype useless so its likely mods will simply crank up crusher’s strengths to 12, which in this case is its ridic high attack and hp pool. Something like increased sp recovery increased when not at full health would be hilarious though wwww
@@sou8063 this is a question about numbers. At least 35% (so double) of Sanctuary will be decent, but I doubt it will happen. Damage is whatever. I guess they can add 10% or so. He arrived too late it seems. Maybe they can give him Shining-type of module.
@mysteryofn2955 Artificers took about 1.5 years ish of getting a module from initial release (ch9-Hortus) so its probably not out of the realm to expedite crusher module (Quartz came out in IL, going to be 1.5 years in CN anniv), especially if it gives an excuse to HG to keep postponing lords, arts guard and arts defender. Extra sanctuary will definitely make him easier to use and more flexible but considering Eunectes got 30% (pot 5) and Mushas get 25% he's probably going to get 28% Shelter for pot 1, 30% for pot 5 like her
What’s the consensus on Skill 3 Mastery versus Skill 2 Mastery? I’ve seen videos where they have one mastered over the other. I’m curious which one has better better utility overall.
Just wanna add on here that his S1 also got a great sustainability. On M3, it will restore 25% HP to himself every 3rd attack. Might be worth investment more compared to S2 (S2 is already great as it is at Lv7, since M3 only add +12% atk boost). Still, M3 his S3 first though since it's the one that did serious damage.
Now, his S1 have a pretty good upgrade at M3, and his S3 gain even more from masteries. His skill 2 isnt bad, it's just that it's masteries adds nearly nothing compared to slvl 7, it already works well, and he is a 6star, those mastery mats will be much more useful if used somewhere else.
he might be not as good as the other op guards, but at least he isn’t designed with feet and actually tries to circumvent the class’s weaknesses! the same can’t be said for the next male guard, however……….
