This song a centre chest punch for me. That line in the chorus, 'I must've blown apart a million dandelions, now they don't grow in my yard.' That has such a time marches on symbolism to it. When you're young you let the 'weeds' grow and flower and have fun wishing/dreaming on what is to come, but as you get older your 'yard' gets more ordered and all the 'weeds'/play/dreams are either gone or grown out. Leaving just a plain yard of monochromatic grass.
Very true, but for me I'm blessed. I live at the bottom of a mountain on 12 acres of pastures. Dandelions, Queen Anne's lace buttercups and wildflowers grow everywhere. I have a friend who makes Dandelion wine, but I hadn't really thought much about of them since I was a child. After experiencing and loving this song though, now I look across the fields at all those Dandelions and just smile....Thank you Tom.🌼
I love this song more than anything. I have never suffered from addiction because my parents were alcoholics and suffered a very rough childhood because of it. I refuse to drink. I suffer from severe anxiety and depression though. As a single mother I often feel like a failure to my children because I am not happy enough. This song and alot of his music has helped me in so many ways ❤ #HOG

Tom is just a different breed. The first video I saw of his was his second diss to Mac Lethal. I didn't know who either of them were, and I don't even like rap. I don't know what compelled me to click on the video. He looked like he would be the type of rapper that normally I'd laugh at to myself and I was just curious. Oh man, I heard that diss and I was catching a lot of the wrestling references he was using and certain bars had my jaw dropping. So I watched his first diss track and then Mac Lethal's response. I then stumbled onto Whiteboy right after and was instantly a fan. I could just tell there was something different about him so I went through every song, and there were very few that I didn't absolutely love. It was a very happy surprise the day I accidentally found his music. I can't say it has changed my life, but it DOES give me hope that I'll eventually get there.
