okay so there's some truth to the mp9 having a combination of stats (good running accuracy, good jumping accuracy, low recoil, fast movement, higher standing accuracy, and +600 reward) but the issue is that valve pretty much has no plans to return the famas burst accuracy from the old cs games, and 1900 first loss bonus pretty much means that without mp9, there would be no answer to the 2nd round force buy that t sides used to do after planting the bomb but losing pistol. valorant's bulldog has shown that accurate bursts can be implemented and are no problem, as have the original cs games, but csgo and cs2 are determined to make burst mode useless, so mp9 is still needed.
The bulldog has nowhere near the tight shotgroup that the 1.6 famas had. The 1.6 famas burst accuracy would completely change the cs2 CT buy meta. No one would ever buy an m4 again.
That American Psycho skit was A+ Also, the Galil is more broken than the MP9. $1800 for 99% of an M4A4, T's can just force buy every round, challenge CT's in an equal fight of firepower at all ranges (with the exception of AWPs) and never have their economy broken, which is especially fun in MR12. Both weapons need big nerfs.
i disagree galil is much less accurate than m4s- CTs can play long angles to offset this. Ts are also supposed to have a weapon advantage. the mp9 on the other hand is just busted.
I'd say the XM also needs a major price adjustment. With how powerful it has become in CS2 it should probably cost closer to $3k. Either that or reduce its kill reward to $600 because with how powerful it can be, $900 per kill is crazy.

Compare an M4A1S to the Galil at long distance and the Galil is almost better. I can't tell you how many times as a T on D2 I've taken long, gotten into pit and destroyed full-buy CT's on A-site with M4's, AUG's, AWP's and Dak Daks (autosnipers). The MP9 is also busted, but the Galil is way, way too overpowered considering the price.
galil was set at this price along as price adjustment of mid tier guns. ever since i havent thought a slightest bit playing on globals or high elo faceit games that galil is busted for its price. its realiable gun to the T's to buy that lacks everything that AK is, famas is supposed to be worse than galil as all of the CT guns are weaker. the problem is really not in galil here. if there is adjustment that should be made is famas accuracy going up a notch and overall smg's getting a stats overhaul considering cheapest are always the best but thats about it. @@Spoidah

Is the MP9 overpowered, or is the mac10 simply underpowered? We both know we would prefer the MP9 get nerfed rather than buffing the mac10. Finally, for the price of $2800 a T can have full armour + an AR that is basically as powerful as a fullbuy CT rifle. Have 1 or 2 T's use a mac10 with full utility and 3-4 players using Galils and every single T-side forcebuy is viable, it's not a hail mary play at all unlike CT forcebuys. The Galil is the reason the CT economy is awful, it keeps CT's on their toes all game with almost no consequence for force-buying every round.
Or better yet, you force buy MP9 and now suddenly your entire team also decides to force buy and then they all die but you get 2 kills and now its your fault they cant buy m4's.

Not at all for Ts because their economy was already always easy, having cheaper and stronger weapons (except for the MP9 and Mag-7 being stronger than their counterparts) and a +800 team cash just for securing a plant. Its so stupid how you can buy AKs twice as much as you buy M4s with CTs, and even then, if you buy a M4 and manages to kill an AK wielding CT, almost everyone will just dump said M4 to loot the AK because its just better because it can one tap heads at any distance because this game is funny like that.
You need firepower to entry and open up a site, imagine if the ak needed a double dink like the m4, it becomes twice as hard for the Ts to enter a site, and defenders always have the advantage, 2 good CTs in sync in theory should always be able to defend a site along with one on rotation. It works like it did for decades, however yes the economy should be polished a bit more because it remained the same and the matches are now shorter, it doesn't really make sense for a 24 round match to have the same economy as in csgo, the game is weird in a lot of ways rn and needs a lot of updates
@@actualmuky While I agree that the AK should probably remain as strong as it is now, I don't agree that the CT's economy should be fucked over just because they're on the defender side. a single AK is always worth at least 2 M4s, it just doesn't make sense to have the M4s costing way more than an AK does, it just caps the CT's ability to fight on even grounds or build momentum as good as the Ts could. And this economy issue gets even worse when Valve is pushing hard for Hostage to be a competitive gamemode. I pretty much exclusively run the M4A1s instead of the "better" M4A4s just because it's easier to buy both M4A1s and utilities in one round than it is to build enough of a bank to buy an M4A4 and still have leftover money to buy for the next round.
Honestly, just buff the famas so it's actually worth buying as a budget option. Give it a slight accuracy buff and drop the price by $100 and people might use the damn thing. Even before CS2 I always found the MP9 just very pleasant to use and this explains it well. It's not just damage alone but all the stats ranging from reload to jumping accuracy are just too good.
I found the first shot headshot so easy to get even while running. Always hated smgs but this was always the only one I'd buy. I do miss my bulldozer though

Anecdotal as it is, I used to run and gun with MP9 exclusively. It comes in really handy when your team doesn't know how to hold economy and you're supplementing them. It's a great weapon, and capable of holding a small site, like a B on Mirage.

I love the MP9 more than the Mac10, but the mac 10 is the only weapon that allows you to literally run non stop with a very easy to control recoil allowing you to run and headshot consistently even at distance at the only down side of damage degradation over the distance.

You'd expect Valve to have the balancing down to a T after 12 years of balance changes and reworks. But maybe my expectations are far too high for such a small Indie developer, Its not like they are a multi billion dollar company afterall... 😅
They dont care about properly adjusting the games balance dynamically at all. When we get those they are either overtuned as fuck and shutted down quickly mostly turning the weapon to useless (again) or they just make the weapon a meme and its never touched. But even then, the games meta is hard stampled into AKs, AWPs and sometimes M4s but most people even pros prefer to loot AKs because having 1 shot kill at any distance is just that powerfull, not like the AK first shots any less accurate than the M4s anyway. This reflects also on the fact this game has always been an NFT market with the AK having the most skins and the most expensive ones by large margin, even its common and low rarity skins are significantly more expensive than any other weapon. So theres no reason for them to have side options. Yes i know the game is an E sports about mechanical skill and supposed to have these high tier weapons be the better ones, but then why not have the other weapons types have a niche via a hogh grade of their own? Hell the P90 was supposed to be a sorta rifle alternative with its price and not having the double kill reward of other SMGs, yet its just a low elo meme and even the MP9 in this video is just better than it in nearly every way.

Constant changes to the m4's through the years to make them both valid without one obscuring the other - kiiiinda alright at the moment. AWP magazine size - nerfed and adjusted. You said it yourself - CS is a NFT market printing them BILLIONS alongside Dota. From economical and investment point of veiw they don't profit from : "we don't care about this product", because the cash will stop flowing. And we know how much uncle Gabe loves his money. I've jumped around corners with the MP9 for fun for years and figured I was just getting lucky since I caught the other player off guard. Turns out I playing optimally the whole time!
I was using this gun back when it was still the TMP. It was my favorite gun to buy when I was bored with everyone on the server and just wanted to go crazy, especially on dust2. So many 3/4k line ups in lower, people would just topple like dominos.

I think it's balanced actually. The CT rifles are more expensive and less effective than the AK, and of course the Ts have peaker's advantage. So the CTs do deserve a slightly overpowered SMG to make up for all that.
I am so sad about Famas. I used it A LOT in csgo, when I was low on money, because I prioritize utilities above M4, but in cs2 it feels AWFUL, I used it 2 times for the last 4 months. But mp9… It was good in csgo, and in CS2 it is on a whole new level of “good”. When my team “full Buy” M4/armor without utils/nades/kits - I always buy mp9 with a full utils. And it works flawlessly. Great video. This is 100% true. PS valve please don't fix mp9 :(((
Don't forget the doubled kill reward since it's an SMG. A lot of new players won't even know about that since CS2 doesn't tell you this in the gun's descriptions for some bizzare reason
Finally someone who appreciates my incend-MP9 charges, Oh sure I'll die but never without filling 1 or 2 poor bastards thinking they're playing a peeking game with lead. Mirage, without stopping incend short, jump the ladder, turn the corner and 9 times out of 10 you may as well start shooting because they sure as hell never expect it. Only works every now and then but majorly disrupts an A rush and allows you to pressure routes through T spawn.

Hey Matt, I remember watching your p250 guide about 7 years ago now. It was what made me sub to you in the first place. I actually remembered how good I used to be with the p250 because of your guide, and I started using it again recently. Your advice still holds up, even if the p250 isn't as good anymore
When you started making content with the misfits I was a massive fan, but I fell out of love with it as I got older. I know the Misfits aren't a thing anymore, but I'm glad to see you making content again.

P250 is like the second best pistol it just doesn't one shot headshot on armor anymore

I love the MP9 more than the Mac10, but the mac 10 is the only weapon that allows you to literally run non stop with a very easy to control recoil allowing you to run and headshot consistently even at distance at the only down side of damage degradation over the distance.

You'd expect Valve to have the balancing down to a T after 12 years of balance changes and reworks. But maybe my expectations are far too high for such a small Indie developer, Its not like they are a multi billion dollar company afterall... 😅
They dont care about properly adjusting the games balance dynamically at all. When we get those they are either overtuned as fuck and shutted down quickly mostly turning the weapon to useless (again) or they just make the weapon a meme and its never touched. But even then, the games meta is hard stampled into AKs, AWPs and sometimes M4s but most people even pros prefer to loot AKs because having 1 shot kill at any distance is just that powerfull, not like the AK first shots any less accurate than the M4s anyway. This reflects also on the fact this game has always been an NFT market with the AK having the most skins and the most expensive ones by large margin, even its common and low rarity skins are significantly more expensive than any other weapon. So theres no reason for them to have side options. Yes i know the game is an E sports about mechanical skill and supposed to have these high tier weapons be the better ones, but then why not have the other weapons types have a niche via a hogh grade of their own? Hell the P90 was supposed to be a sorta rifle alternative with its price and not having the double kill reward of other SMGs, yet its just a low elo meme and even the MP9 in this video is just better than it in nearly every way.

@@unkindled6410 You have valid points but the first part of your comment is wrong. Valve listens. They don't talk, but surely they listen. CZ OP? - Nerf. AUG - buff-nerf game? Adjusted. Revolver - we don't speak about that, but they reacted and nerfed it. AUG and Krieg meta - adjusted. UMP imbalance - adjusted. Constant changes to the m4's through the years to make them both valid without one obscuring the other - kiiiinda alright at the moment. AWP magazine size - nerfed and adjusted. Various buffs and nerfs to the Tec 9 - adjusted. They even tried to make the Negev useful by constantly adjusting it in order to give it a role. Deagle adjustment to not kill you with two easy body shots - done. $300 pistol one shotting you? (P250) - nerfed. I am trying to not be a Valve dickrider, but the CS community tends to forget the good things and always remembers the bad things cuz it's easier to cope if something is going down south.. The Mp9 is getting more love from the pros recently. Valve are watching. I presume they are too busy fine tuning the game at the moment, but at some point they will turn their heads towards the MP9. It's gonna get adjusted and I think they will simply touch the price, but first they have to adjust the economy. Being a CT is very punishing right now. You said it yourself - CS is a NFT market printing them BILLIONS alongside Dota. From economical and investment point of veiw they don't profit from : "we don't care about this product", because the cash will stop flowing. And we know how much uncle Gabe loves his money. Yes they sometimes react slowly, but when they do react - everyone goes badshit crazy.

I was using this gun back when it was still the TMP. It was my favorite gun to buy when I was bored with everyone on the server and just wanted to go crazy, especially on dust2. So many 3/4k line ups in lower, people would just topple like dominos.
Man, CS2 looks beautiful. I still haven't played it, even though I downloaded it way back in September when it came out. It's April 1st tomorrow and I gotta start playing it...

I think it's balanced actually. The CT rifles are more expensive and less effective than the AK, and of course the Ts have peaker's advantage. So the CTs do deserve a slightly overpowered SMG to make up for all that.

As a former Global Elite and Faceit lv10 2600elo player I agree with this video.
I am so sad about Famas. I used it A LOT in csgo, when I was low on money, because I prioritize utilities above M4, but in cs2 it feels AWFUL, I used it 2 times for the last 4 months. But mp9… It was good in csgo, and in CS2 it is on a whole new level of “good”. When my team “full Buy” M4/armor without utils/nades/kits - I always buy mp9 with a full utils. And it works flawlessly.

Mirage, without stopping incend short, jump the ladder, turn the corner and 9 times out of 10 you may as well start shooting because they sure as hell never expect it. Only works every now and then but majorly disrupts an A rush and allows you to pressure routes through T spawn.
