I got the same caty code on my ecoboost -_- pretty sure replacing the 02 sensor will fix. I had a manifold leak for awhile which I think contributed to it. just got full race manifold, titan intercooler, roush intake. Going back in next week for tune, coil overs, and 02 sensors. Love my truck but been a money pit either its repairs or upgrades
Mine stays on constantly 😅 i just got use to it and plus i have gutted cats on mine 😅 and btw man we got a truck show in july in Nacogdoches called east texas showdown you should come out to it its july 13th and ive enter my truck in it excited to be my very first show that i entered 😄

My P0430 has come on due to bad gas and aftermarket 02 sensors. That’s on me for installing non-OEM parts for a sensor, I need to order the Motorcraft ones as they perform best. Also peep the driver pocket against the center console 👀, I wish my ‘12 had that pocket on the driver side like it does the passenger.

It may be a little drive for you but I would recommend Triple A brake and muffler in Garland on Broadway Blvd close to I30. They are the only place I go when I can’t or don’t want to work on my own vehicle. They are very fair as well. They sell both oem style and aftermarket catalytic converters.

I had the same code off and on for about a year. Noticed my Ecoboost seemed sluggish on heavy acceleration when the light was on. Ended up deleting my cats and doing O2 anti-foulers and never looked back. No codes, no light, and the turbo whistle…. 💯. I have a video on my channel of how it sounds if you consider going catless.

i think its called a spark plug non fouler, i was getting the code whenever i got on the gas too much, but cats were good. i put them on and no more codes

i had the same code code for a few months. i just installed cvf downpipes and adapters last week and everything is good to go, and more power lol. they are half the price

@KickinItWithQ it's hard to say. I already had cold air intake, ams turbo intake tubes, mbrp 4 inch exhaust and a custom. I did the cvf downpipe, turbo adapters and a cvf intercooler at the same time. You can 100% hear the turbo whistle now and it's very very responsive. I think I'm gonna call and see if I need to update my tune

In your video it looks like new mirror is cracked. You could have bought a set of take off mirrors off market place for cheaper then the mirror. Only 4 bolts and a plug to swap out.

My truck has 108K and I replaced the pads and disks on my brakes and the wheel bearings with new calibers it looks amazing!!!

I would replace the downstream O2 sensor first, cat shouldnt be bad unless the engine is overfueling or burning oil

Yes, go with the High Flow. Don't get rid of Red. It will be worth the money when she paid off. But that mirror can it see into the future? That was way to much for that.

You could have brought the mirror to a local glass shop. Would have cost like 40$ for the cut. You might just had to ad adhesive yourself. 🙂
I try my best to repair things on my truck before I take it to a shop since Ricart Ford in Columbus Ohio kept my truck 5 hours for a damn oil change. Never again 😡

Am I missing something? I found the heated tow mirror glass just now for less than 200 bucks! You can get OEM style replacement mirrors for under 300 bucks for the whole housing. Not sure, maybe I’m looking at the wrong thing, but over 400 bucks just for the mirror glass?! That’s insane.
That’s what I was thinking to do, but I called Ford dealership directly. They took my vin number and that’s what they quoted me.

Run a bottle of cata-clean through it. It will help burn the carbon that’s built up off the cats and O2 sensors

That is a common code for the eco boost. My wife has a eco boost and we get that code constantly. It comes and goes weekly, we’re at 166k.
That’s exactly what’s happening to me. I ran some cataclean through it see if that helps
@@KickinItWithQ I changed 02 sensor, it forced the problem for a minute but it came back on and it was the same code. Did the cataclean work for you?

Bro just use cataclean. Went to auto zone and it was my catalytic converter. This just happened to me a couple days ago and engine light went away.

@@KickinItWithQ you can either buy a product called cataclean or get someone to them out and physical clean them. My Chevy has the same code and the cataclean fixes it every time. One day imma actually take them out and manually clean them along with the o2 sensors.
