I really wish the platform worked as easily as you showed - I am encountering one bug after another. User sign up option not available, Can't change the demo content ( sits for over an hour and does not update ) Listings not showing information correctly. Support is frustrating to work with due to opposite time zone. These are just a couple of the issues I am facing. Seems like as soon as I correct one 4 more present. Any advice, As I really like the set up of the directory just can not seem to get it to work properly.

Really bloated theme Listing Pro and filled with issues, if you can ask for a refund and go for something like Voxel or GeoDirectory, even Directorist.

Thanks for the tutorial! Is there a way disable one or two of the payment gateways? Say, for instance, that I only one to use Stripe, is there a way no to show the other two options or vice versa?
Certainly! In WooCommerce, you can easily disable payment gateways that you don't want to offer to your customers. Here's how: 1. Go to your WordPress admin dashboard. 2. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings. 3. Click on the "Payments" tab. 4. You'll see a list of available payment gateways. Simply toggle off the ones you don't want to use. 5. Save your changes. That's it! Now only the selected payment gateways will be available for your customers during checkout.
Any advice you can offer. The software will not upload on my wordpress. I have tried several times. I have uploaded software from these guys before and no issues. Any suggestions?
Although currently using a different theme (dList (I have ListingPro, just won't auto install and I'm not confident enough to manually install)) I have found your video super useful. As the video was uploaded 2 years ago, I'm guessing you recently edited the videos title to include the word 2024. If so, maybe worth a NEW video on using the theme, I'm sure the theme has changed a lot in the last two years. Hi Darrel, thx for the good video. I bought your theme and started building my site with it. It should be a niche specific directory and i want to seo optimize the main locationpages for keyword to get some local traffic. What i want to do is adding niche and location specific content on each location page, some sentences above the listings and a bigger textblock below them. I did not find a way doing that for big amount of locationpages. Maybe i am just confused and did not see it? Or wont that be possible? Thx for your help
Id like to clear something up re creating listings: If you have a recurring subscription that you would like to carry on recurring, when creating your pricing plans, leave the box 'Duration (In days)' blank. From the video above I assumed I had to input 30 in that duration section for it to recur, however what this actually does is set that someone's listing will ONLY last 30 days. It then expires and removes them which is obviously the opposite of what we are likely to want. Great video btw, Very thorough! Really helped me a lot. Do you perhaps know if it is possible for a business to set more than one location for itself? Like if a physio works from two different locations?
Great catch! Leave "Duration" blank for recurring listings to stay active with subscriptions. for the Multiple Locations: ListingPro lets you handle businesses with multiple locations. Check your settings to enable "Locations" if needed. Then create & assign locations to listings! Physio friend = happy physio friend!

Hey Darrel, On the select your plan page the words Resurva, Timekit and Bookings are listed separately for each package. Are they different and if so how? And if not how can we delete the words Resurva and timekit from each list? Thanks!

I'm ALMOST sold on this theme. My only questions is - can I have an "Events" page as my home page and then a link to a separate page that is for business listings. The theme says you can have more than one set of listing data, but just not sure if it can be on separate pages because of what you said about the search textbox being a part of the back-end - ie. you can just mess with it using Elementor. So just don't know how I can set up two seperate sets of listing data and have them on separate pages. One being home, and other being separate.

Hey 👋 Yes, ListingPro does support third-party plugins! If the built-in Booking Form isn't working for you, you can definitely try using another plugin as a replacement. Just make sure it's compatible with your theme. Always a good idea to reach out to ListingPro support too - they're pretty helpful with these issues.
Hey @Darrel - amazing video! The support for ListingPro actually seems to be pretty lack lustre - not sure if it has changed since this video? I am running into an error for recurring payments when I'm testing - "Sorry! A plan should have a duration for recurring paymentSorry! A plan should have a duration for recurring payment"... Is there any way around this other than giving listings a day limit (I want my listings to be unlimited duration)

I'm looking to build a 2nd national directory website. My 1st one was OK, but a little too cumbersome, and I ended up doing a bunch of coding to make it work. Now, I'm looking for something easier that will allow me to add thousands of cities across the US in different home services. For example the category of plumbers would have 2500 cities listed underneath it (the top 50 cities per state). Each city would list a handful of local plumbers in the area. Another category of HVAC would have the same 2500 cities with a handful of local plumbers in each city. Is this something this theme could handle? If not, do you have a recommend theme

Hi Darrel, On my Appointment page of my listing page it say "Day Off" and I want to remove that. I have it set up for M-F 9-5pm but the words "Day Off" is there. I had someone test it and it stated I was booked up? How do I correct this? Also when people click on the calendar for a specific day it jumps to far ahead to Dec? Lastly when I test book a day like for tomorrow it jumps tp April 4th?

I'm at the beginning of my journey, and have reached my first hurdle, "What Categories To Include In My Classifieds?'. Do you try and emulate eBay or Etsy (many hundreds of Categories) and if so, how to find those categories etc. Or would having too many Categories ruin to user Experience?

I bought your theme and started building my site with it.
It should be a niche specific directory and i want to seo optimize the main locationpages for keyword to get some local traffic. What i want to do is adding niche and location specific content on each location page, some sentences above the listings and a bigger textblock below them.
I did not find a way doing that for big amount of locationpages. Maybe i am just confused and did not see it? Or wont that be possible?

He's using the hosting site. Those wordpress plans are basically hosting plans that are expensive. go through a hosting company and wordpress is free.
Id like to clear something up re creating listings: If you have a recurring subscription that you would like to carry on recurring, when creating your pricing plans, leave the box 'Duration (In days)' blank. From the video above I assumed I had to input 30 in that duration section for it to recur, however what this actually does is set that someone's listing will ONLY last 30 days. It then expires and removes them which is obviously the opposite of what we are likely to want. Great video btw, Very thorough! Really helped me a lot.
Do you perhaps know if it is possible for a business to set more than one location for itself? Like if a physio works from two different locations?
Great catch! Leave "Duration" blank for recurring listings to stay active with subscriptions.
for the Multiple Locations:
ListingPro lets you handle businesses with multiple locations. Check your settings to enable "Locations" if needed. Then create & assign locations to listings!

I'm ALMOST sold on this theme. My only questions is - can I have an "Events" page as my home page and then a link to a separate page that is for business listings. The theme says you can have more than one set of listing data, but just not sure if it can be on separate pages because of what you said about the search textbox being a part of the back-end - ie. you can just mess with it using Elementor. So just don't know how I can set up two seperate sets of listing data and have them on separate pages. One being home, and other being separate.

I am running into an error for recurring payments when I'm testing - "Sorry! A plan should have a duration for recurring paymentSorry! A plan should have a duration for recurring payment"... Is there any way around this other than giving listings a day limit (I want my listings to be unlimited duration)

I'm looking to build a 2nd national directory website. My 1st one was OK, but a little too cumbersome, and I ended up doing a bunch of coding to make it work. Now, I'm looking for something easier that will allow me to add thousands of cities across the US in different home services. For example the category of plumbers would have 2500 cities listed underneath it (the top 50 cities per state). Each city would list a handful of local plumbers in the area. Another category of HVAC would have the same 2500 cities with a handful of local plumbers in each city. Is this something this theme could handle? If not, do you have a recommend theme

On my Appointment page of my listing page it say "Day Off" and I want to remove that. I have it set up for M-F 9-5pm but the words "Day Off" is there. I had someone test it and it stated I was booked up? How do I correct this? Also when people click on the calendar for a specific day it jumps to far ahead to Dec? Lastly when I test book a day like for tomorrow it jumps tp April 4th?
