    Fun fact: As research I was watching a lot of Metalcore music videos from back in the day.
    The vast majority of which were Stick Stickly on repeat.

      Nah man, I wasn't gone, I just don't do TH-cam as a fulltime job, so I can just make these videos when I have the time for it. :)
      Also what you see me doing in the video is like 15% of the workload. Not kidding I think making one of these videos is actually about 30 hours of workload in total. Maybe I can make a video some time about what is all happening behind the scenes.^^

    I am always anxious to overlook your new videos. So i asked myself what can i do about it, if even the bell isn`t working that good. And i thought - even if i am not really a fan of that format either - maybe clip a teaser and release a 'short' a few days before the video? Just a thought.

    16:17 that scream is sick dude lol. When you do fry screams do you use your voice or do you push air through? Hard to explain whaf i mean but ive heard different things. Some ppl say pushing air through your vocal folds is rlly harmful so Im trying to learn what im supposed to do before I start doing it lol

    • @Sergio-nb4hj
      @Sergio-nb4hj ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It depends on the sound you're going for. Harmful techniques aren't inherently "wrong", in fact sometimes it's exactly what is needed to get a certain sound (example: lead vocalist of I Set My Friends on Fire or any skramz-tinged modern metalcore band).
      And before someone gets at me for defending harmful voice practices, I want to let you know that outside of metal, there are established singing styles that are harmful for your health, such as khoomei throat singing

    • @Bosmek
      @Bosmek  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm really not an authority on vocals. For some reason the fry scream just work inhale for me. When I do them exhale I get stuck instantly, which sucks, because doing them exhale would 1. allow me to seamlessly switch between singing and screaming and 2. allow me to pronounce consonants correctly. I talked about how I do it in the Deathcore video, that is the same technique, just deeper. So no vocal chords at all for that one. And I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but yes, the (inhaled) pressure is pretty much as strong as it gets on whatever oscillates there in my throat, so yes I push (technically pull) air through. The opening is just very tiny, so not a lot of air comes in, which means you can hold the screams ridiculously long, I could easily go a full minute with that technique.^^
      And it doesn't hurt at all, doing the regular coughing style screams get me sore way faster. Hope it helps somewhat. I think lerning to sing/scream really is the hardest thing, since you can't really look inside your throat and kinda have to guess how it works until it does. Good luck! :)

    • @Bosmek
      @Bosmek  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      oh lol wait a minute, the scream at 16:17 is actually an exhale one and not the fry technique at all. I just went for it. :D
      Really the biggest thing for me there was putting in ear plugs in and turning up the volume so I don't cringe on the thought of my neighbours hearing me haha.
      These ones don't exactly hurt, but I get sore after a while. I definitely couldn't do a whole live set with that technique, so I quess I'm either not "trained" enough or I do something wrong, or probably both.^^
