@MythVisionPodcast You say "anti-semitism", quite a lot Do you not also fairly acknowledge the other side of this?? The talmud has immensely hateful parts towards non jews Atheist, but ethnic jewish people had an awful lot to do with one of the very most evil and cruel ideologies of all time : Bolshevik communsim Just saying there are very much two sides to this throughout much of history I dont like either side

,Most English bibles egregiously mistranslate "Yahweh" as "the Lord." Yahweh is a mass-murdering tyrant who is never kind, much less loving, in the Torah.

Set (/sɛt/; Egyptological: Sutekh - swtẖ ~ stẖ or Greek: Seth /sɛθ/) is a god of deserts, storms, disorder, violence, and foreigners in ancient Egyptian religion. In Ancient Greek, the god's name is given as Sēth (Σήθ). Set had a positive role where he accompanies Ra on his barque to repel Apep, the serpent of Chaos.

I always liked that story where he helped Ra. It gives me Loki vibes a little bit. A diety who's usually a dark or negative being deciding to step in and aid a fellow God and show that he can be good. Gotta love a face turn

Same here re: revelations. It's a notion for which I've sought insight, and I have really enjoyed the video. This information seems to dove-tails well with Paul wallis' work. He has A 3- part YT series titled, "The Scarey truth about the Bible. And he has 2 books out, and a 3rd to soon be released. The title of the first is "Escaping from Eden." He seems to have a rather unique view.

Yes! More content like this please! I just found your channel a few weeks ago so just now seeing this video. I grew up in a mainstream denomination of this religion. Between the ages of 16 and 20, I sincerely tried to seek / follow God. I was a Christian religious fanatic. At 18, I had a dream that really puzzled me. I was at the church. I saw a friend of mine the same age. We weren't best buds at all and didn't really run so much in the same circles either but we were still friends. Then in the conversation, I remembered that he was really dead. Had died a year or so earlier in an accident on a farm. When I remembered, I said hey man, you're dead! He acknowledged and then I asked him what its like? (maybe i asked what's heaven like? or what's God like? I don't remember exactly). He responded saying something like "God is a bit strange".
    me: "what do you mean?"
Him: "God is not right" (something like that. I think I wrote this down but I would need to find the notebook at my mom's house which is 1500 miles away from where I live)
Anyways, I then had an intense overwhelming vision of this 'god'. He was huge, 25 maybe 50 feet tall. Dressed all in black, what seemed like a type of armor. It was sleek, very stylish actually. Lightning bolts were hitting around him. I could not see his face though. Had some kind of helmet, seemed transparent but I could not see his face. My feeling and impression was that he was evil but I had some serious cognitive dissonance and couldn't reconcile it. About 25 years later in my 40s, I was first exposed to gnostic ideas. There's something to this stuff. Its not all myth and make believe.

As christians, I think we often forget what Jesus and his hand-picked disciples describe as the Spirit of the law vs the law ...(Spirit of the law _vs_ the law)
Jesus fully kept and fought/contended for the "Spirit" of the law, but constantly fought against, exposed and broke the "law".
That is what killed Him on a cross: His obedience in keeping and promoting the "Spirit" of the law while exposing the evil of the "law".

Dr Litwa, the only differences in the Egyptian version of the Exodus as you described it are
    1) the Egyptians expelled the Hebrews.
    2) the Egyptian version recognizes these actions as evil.
In the Hebrew version, Yahweh is also not a good god. He murders all the firstborn males of the Egyptians and causes plagues that would have killed almost all the Egyptians, who are the ones who pay for Yahweh’s evil, even though he raised up Egypt just for that purpose.
Thanks for the informative interview. 👍

I was always taught that Satan is the "god of this world" but Satan was never supposed to be a god so I think they say, "ruler of this world" as opposed to the creator or god, he is King of the World because Adam sinned and the world was given to Satan to do mischief in. As an atheist, I don't believe any of this nonsense anymore and figuring out what ancient people actually believed when they had a completely different system of thought and took drugs and fasted for visions and lied to each other is impossible.
Summation: There were no gods, no spirits, no angels, not even "the force" involved in human history. There were men following the inclinations of men and pretending they had "god on their side" for obvious human reasons, the leaders often claimed to be gods and acted like it to enhance their power and used the rudimentary science they sponsored to do "miracles". History and fiction always include gods because it sells and because the gods were part of history just not a real part.

When all the first born were killed, this was there exile. Enslaved in the flesh. So he takes control of his animal and rides it to be sacrificed ultimately freeing him from the physical. Because consciously he was freed and wasn't forced to reincarnate. Something like that.

Race isn't the same thing as religion, the whole "anti-Semitic" thing is kinda bullshit because of the mixing of the two into one thing. It seems more than slightly intellectually dishonest in the modern times to use that term as though someone is "racist" when they are against a religion a race of people. You shouldn't have to defend yourself constantly when you criticize a religion because you will for some reason get called racist when they aren't the same things. As for the race part, you can be a Jew and not be the stereotypical "Jew" racially. Semitic isn't a race to start, it isn't a religion either, its a language group.

It seems that YHVH represents the god of the physical universe and the father christ refers to is the god of the spiritual universe. The imagery of christ riding the donkey into jerusalem depicting christ being in control over this god of the physical universe. The idea of YHVH being the demiurge or creator of the physical and representative of that which binds us to the physical such as the ego and lower emotions are seen in his describing himself as "jealous" and being a vengeful , wrathful and hatefilled god. In the vedantic hindu system there are many lower gods and devas that are imperfect yet higher up in the system of being than mankind. They also have belief in the spiritual universe which is not tainted by the cycle of being that exists in the physical universe. It seems that it would be difficult to say that YHVH is perfect and it seems to be in many ways the same character that's referred to as the opposer /satan in other scriptures. It's pretty confusing though because so many cultures have worshiped the imperfect gods of the physical universe and sometimes the one of the spiritual universe.

A painter adds something to a painting that he likes, but upon stepping back, it doesn't fit. So he works on it and tries to get it to fit, but it won't. Sadly wiping it out of the painting is an "unconscionable act?" Do you know how the prophets linked world events to the stars? Do you have any idea where we are now in the story? For centuries epic events have been depicted in the stars and described beforehand. You snooze, you lose. Edit: difference being: we CHOOSE not to fit

I should remind you, though, that even in the Bible there is no ONE “devil” or “satan.” There are various adversaries, including YHVH himself.
Regarding the temptations of Christ, the god who was speaking obviously thought he owned the kingdoms of Israel, which was the “world” in view here. Who was that God? Based upon this video, was it YHVH? Just a thought.

All religions from paganism to Judism, Christianity, Musslims and other's that have broken off from them. Are all based on STORIES. Use any dictionary and look up the basic meaning of the word STORY.
Using just one of the many stories I was taught in my youth. The story of Santa Claus has become so convoluted, when comparing the original to the present version of the story and it's only been a hundred or two years. It's no wonder why there are so many versons, sect, factions of religions today because like any story. They become so convoluted, there no where near their origanal version. One can use the ole' FISH STORY as example. The fish always gets larger every time the story is told.

Paul in Romans 13:1-2 insisted that "the powers that be are invested of God" and that whoever resists that power will be damned. Yet in Matthew 4:8-11, Satan is the one who tempts Jesus with all the world's kingdoms and says he will give all of them to Jesus if he will worship him. So from that, how could one logically conclude anything else but that Satan is the god in power over the world, and that YHWH either wants it that way or is himself Satan?

Literacy in the times of these works was minimal . For the average person the idea that God cursed someone nailed to a tree etc. Would have been a problem would not have occured because there would have been no awareness. Much like churches today there is only a superficial view, some short random texts, out of context to support growing church membership, some magical rituals to make you special and so on. The massive size of a church building spoke more to the average person than the details of the Trinity or conflicts in texts.

The name is perhaps an echo of the Egyptian Horus.[14][21] ...he becomes a kind of world-creative power, who in this capacity helps to construct an ordered world out of Sophia and her passions." Humankind in the beginning chose to reject God’s warning about not eating the fruit causing us to become imperfect in thought and causing us to put our own desires above God. In the end we must seek a new heart and a right attitude to reject our ego. Psalms 51:10. Man later rejected the true God’s rulership over them by wanting a king. Yes, satan now rules this world with his princes till the rightful leadership comes under The Most High. We live under corrupt religion and government until Jesus bringing in his Father’s kingdom.
We must realize that the true Most High God of Love who created all is not Yahweh, a god of war and mischief. We don’t even know the Creators name. We address Him as Father or Abba, a more intimate one. The Most High’s words and teachings were suppressed for the most part and Yahweh was elevated to His position and this Yahweh’s laws and desires were attributed to his Creator. The Most High sent true prophets to the wayward Israelites and I feel Yahweh had his also. It’s a mixed up mess to confuse the reader of the bible. Yahweh was kept in the bible to justify war and the law given by evil angels, thereby keeping us from the freedom of the children of The Most High.

Paul says that the law was given by angels, not God. And that angels are sometimes evil. He also says that you "were fooled by the God of this world".
This all points to Paul being some sort of Gnostic and not really a Jew. Strange that David Litwa still considers him Jewish.

    • @kathryngeeslin9509
      @kathryngeeslin9509 2 ปีที่แล้ว

"Not really a Jew" like "not a true Scotsman" is awkward in the extreme for a point in time when everything religious was in flux, separating and combining and inventing. It would be very difficult, likely impossible, to draw a sharp line between what was and what was not Jewish; Judaism had many sects and offshoots each blending into others (much like Christianity now), and both worked to wipe out the existence and evidence of existence of those in-between beliefs and other "heretical" beliefs. Paul was Roman and Jew with all the contaminants to each of his time.

@@johnnonamegibbon3580 Given that historians call you a Jew whether you worship the Canaanite gods Asherah, Baal, El, and others, or at the other extreme that you think El and Yahweh are different names for a supreme creator of the solar system and believe Asherah and Baal are either evil spirits or don't exist at all, then why wouldn't they also call someone a Jew whother they worship that creator of the solar system or believe he is an emanation of the higher being they worship instead? Given that the differences between 900 BC Judaism and 1st century AD Judaism are enormous yet we lump them together under the banner of Judaism, why not also lump the Gnostics in with the solar system creator worshippers in the first century?
