Rule No.1: Whenever you go for shopping in India, if you have zero idea on pricing, always make it a habit to enquire about the price in at least 3-4 shops before buying one. Try checking the smaller shops first. If it is an expensive buy, better to also check the pricing online on Amazon, Flipkart etc so that you don’t end up burning your pockets. If you feel lazy to step into more than one shop, then you need to ante up your bargaining skills. I’d start with slightly lesser than 50% (more like 40%) of what the street vendor is charging and settle for 50% or 60% max.
