Thank you, Robert! 📚
Happy to judge the second round.
Enjoy
I’m so excited to be judging fiction group A!! I need it after my nonfiction experience last round. Thanks so much Robert for making this happen!❤😊
You're so welcome! I appreciate you helping out with Nonfiction last round. Enjoy!
Woohoo, first time judging in the Quarterfinals! Off to see if my library has all of these... -Becks
fingers crossed
Looking forward to this round! Glad to see that my top two books from the last round made it through! 😊💙
Excellent. Hope this round is even better.
Already own 4 of my quarterfinals group! 😲
Makes it much easier.
Woohooo excited for round 2!
Enjoy your group!
This was very well edited! I am also happy to see the results to the octofinals, though the only book I have read from this list is How to Stand Up to a Dictator, which I borrowed from the library and enjoyed enough to see it advance to the quarterfinals. I got to meet Maria Ressa when she was inducted into her hometown's school district Hall of Fame (as in the town she grew up). Thank you for sharing and I am looking forward to seeing how this prize progresses. I definitely want to check out the judges response videos! -Josh
Thanks, Josh. Hope you enjoy the judge recaps.
Couldn't watch live but still find it exciting. Off to check my group now.
I wonder what you might have been doing when it went live? 😂⚽️
@@BookTubePrize 🤣⚽️
Delighted with my group, Fiction group D.
My books made the cut! Woohoo!
All 3? Impressive.
I am pleased with Fiction Group B results🎉.
Thanks for all the hard work you have done for organizing this!!
Excellent... looking forward to Round 2?
French Braid, Sea of Tranquility, and Booth got jipped! These 3 are much better than some of the strange choices picked.
Robert another thanks for being so amazing with this prize. You amaze me every year with your passion and administrative skills! I hope your doing well 🙂xxx
Wow, thank you, Beth. I really do enjoy doing it and love it when the judges have a good experience.
Disappointed that Dr No didn’t move on in the competition. I greatly enjoyed that one and I’m reading more of his books. Fading out into a shadow of the books not chosen is helpful as in the past I was always saying, “Wait, what?” and backtracking to check which books were rejected.
I haven't read Dr. No yet, but I loved his previous novel.
Solito!! 🎉
Didn't make it live but excited to be judging this next round.
Enjoy!
Robert Thank you very much for your amazing work. I am so happy to judge round 2. I am very excited to Judge group C (FICTION). I haven't read any of them, but three were already on TBR. Happy reading everyone.
Terrific. I hope you enjoy your group.
Very excited that my number 1 and 2 pick of fiction group E got trough! And also my #5, but hey, you win some, you lose some.
I think 2 out of 3, especially in round 1 when it's a little more unpredictable, is pretty good. 🎉
My books made it. I am glad. Didn’t get an assignment this round.😢
Keep an eye out over the next few days for emails if we need subs.
Sad that Dr No didn’t make the cut. 🙁 Perceval Everett is my new favorite author. He’s brilliant!
I loved his previous novel. Haven't read the new one yet.
@@BookTubePrize Would love to know what you think about Dr. No when you get to it. I thought it was engaging and hope his others are as well. Why have I never heard of this author?
Unfortunately I missed to sign up for the second round.
No worries. Two more rounds with tighter and tighter competition.
Fiction Group A in the Quarterfinals is without a doubt the Group of Death. 😰😭
It's getting competitive early on. But half of them advance, so even sneaking by in third is good enough. Clean slate for each new round.
Genuinely surprised by some of these choices. Personally, The Daughter of Doctor Moreau was one of my most disappointing reads of 2022. 😥
happens every round, I believe. There are always surprises.
@@BookTubePrize oh, totally agree, as much as I have loved the other two I've read by her, I don't get the appeal of that one enough to make the next round. 👍
