    Nice track in the summer. Some tricky holes on there and placed to get in trouble. Rough gets thick. Only slight complaint for summer is that tee times are too close together so gets backed up pretty easily. Really good round from you in tough conditions there.
    Might want to try the courses at Breadsal priory if you are local as well.

      @@MWalsh1992 Thanks I was pleased with how I played, and like you say it was wet and windy so wasn’t the easiest! Enjoyed the course though, I need to get there in the summer.
      Thanks for the tip about Breadsall, I’ve heard good things so I’ll definitely try and get over there in the new year. Thanks for the comment.

      @@reloadgolf1 ,word of advice,if you play Breadsall don't play the Priory course.
      I don't mean to sound mean but if your course management is'nt good the priory course will batter you,It can do that to you on a good day.

      @ I do sometimes, and would like to more often, but I try to play midweek in the middle of the day so it’s quiet and I’m not holding people up, so most people are working.

    Morley Hayes is my regular track. It's unbeatable for the price you pay (after 12pm). All the regulars I've played with have been great and I've rarely had a bad experience.
    The one thing I think they need to address is the wildlife. It's amazing to see the herd of deer roaming and all the ducks and geese but when it's mating season and there's crap everywhere and the geese come at you for looking at them, it's not ideal. I swear there's been days where you can hardly see any green on the 8th due to all the goose shite.
    Good video man, I've subscribed and look forward to the next one!

      @@Cubeeyy Thanks mate, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I did see the deer which was pretty amazing, but I agree with you about the geese, it can’t be pretty frustrating. It’s a great course though, really enjoyed it, you’re very lucky to play there regularly!
      Is there any other courses in Derbyshire that you’d recommend?

    • @Cubeeyy
      @Cubeeyy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @reloadgolf1 Horsley Lodge just up the road from Morley is my number 1 recommendation but it is pretty pricey. Shirland is a hidden gem, pretty cheap and simple but a really nice course in the summer with a fantastic clubhouse. Pastures on the other side of Derby, made world famous by Mr Shiels, is worth a visit. Brailsford is a fun, inexpensive short course.
      Plenty of great courses around, I'm trying to work through them all myself after only picking the game back up a couple of years ago.

    Not easy in summer never mind winter, will play very long, need a good start on those first three holes to get anything under 90, your a bit hitter so maybe next time ⛳️👍

      @@prussell7377 I think the yardage was about 6500 off the yellows which is a hell of a long way. I’ll definitely be back in the summer to try and break that 90 though! Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed it 👍

    not sure about hidden gem! morley hayes is typically the first course newbie golfers in derby play, it's probably the boggiest course in the area, and is very slow in summer (because of all of the new golfers). it's a poor course and doesn't deserve to be in the top 10(in my opinion). The driving range is great though.

    • @reloadgolf1
      @reloadgolf1  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@coreyohara9848 fair play Corey, it was boggy when I played it but that was March and we’d had a lot of rain so I put it down to that because most courses in the area were closed. I did enjoy it though, it was very quiet and some great views and interesting holes. Which courses would you recommend playing in Derbyshire? Thanks for the comment 👍

      @@reloadgolf1 No problem! to mirror what others have said, Breadsall priory is 5mins from Morley and superior in every way (it is slightly more expensive, expect to pay £40-50). the moorland course is sand based, so holds up brilliantly even after lots of rain. The priory course is more unique and interesting but gets boggy after rain. Horseley Lodge is about 5 mins from Morley and is a better course, around £35-40 there. Chevin is about 15mins away, beautiful course, same price point. Cavendish (derbyshire #1 on top 100) is superb value for money, can play there for £50 with a meal in the 4BBB open summer comps. worth every penny. These would be my picks in the £30-60 bracket in Derbyshire

    Yes, Breadsall Priory is a gem of a course..I should know, I started there. If you can play at Breadsall you can play anywhere. And Chevin, what can I say, a beauty of a course. That’s Melissa Reid’s home course. I played very well there in our friendly match that my playing partner accused me of having played there previously 😂 and I’ve only been playing a few months prior! I guess I just love a tough course, brings out the best in me.

    According to your yardages, you hit your first drive 260yards. By your own admission, you didn't hit it very well, coupled with the very wet ground. Your second drive worked out at 280yards. You must be on hell of big hitter to get anything like those distances, in those conditions!!

    • @reloadgolf1
      @reloadgolf1  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@trickydicky274 I actually thought the same about the first drive earlier when I was just checking a few bits, the wind was strong and with but I think a lot of the tees were moved forward, and the yardages I used for the holes was off the scorecard. I’d love to say I’m Bryson Dechambeau in disguise but unfortunately that’s not the case. Thanks for the comment though and I hope you enjoyed the video!
