About the trains... The sprinters are way newer while the intercity trains are about to be phased out, which explains some of the differences in the interior.

Indian railways is one of the largest on this planet and lot of the railway systems is very old and undergoing modernisation. Comparing it to a railways from a small country like Netherlands is a bit skewed in my opinion. I have travelled in trains in Europe. They are definitely more modern and more easier to maintain as the traffic is way much lesser than Indian counterpart. Food is something I 100% agree with you. Service and food in Indian railways is much better. Another thing is that people in european countries are hardly interested in talking to strangers so journeys are very monotonous and boring. I think with time railways is definitely getting much better here in India as Infrastructure development in our country is at a very fast pace for the time being.
8:30 the new modernised VIRM are more comfortable than any sprinters. Sprinters are time-consuming and have the most uncomfortable seats in the fleet, hence, why they're short-distance trains. Surprised you didn't take the ICNG yet, loads better than the current ICs in service.
Watching the Amsterdam Centraal after a couple of years brought back some fond memories. Thanks for the HQ glimpses. Having travelled on TrainItalia and Deutsche Bahn I can say Indian Railways are incomparable. Though speaking of experience, Indian Railways are the most fun to travel on. The European ones are quite boring but on the bright side super productive. The hygiene and peace of mind can never be matched by Indian Railways.

I would say indian railways are better on many technical grounds Our tracks are broad guage that means our track can carry more load plus our train are bigger than Dutch trains. Secondly this type of sitting trains we have them here too like our metros and new rapid rail system which soon gonna launch ticketing system is similar too touch and go.. we have them here too just the credit card part is not here you have to buy separate metro card that will act similar way you can recharge that card using internet also... Last but not least we soon gonna have 5G spectrum all over in nation so we dont need wifi in Trains
I think Netherland’s train journey is more comfortable.. easy ticketing process.. but costly On the other hand Indian railway have to do allot to reach that extent due to population challenges are much higher but hopefully we will achieve soon..😍❤️🙏
I think the single longest journey you can take by train within The Netherlands is from Vlissingen in the southwest corner of the country to Bad Nieuweschans right up against the border with Germany to the northeast. That would take 5 hours and 38 minutes, including two transfers. Which is very much so exceptionally long by Dutch standards. The _overwhelming_ majority of destinations can be reached in about 3 hours max. Cruising speed is currently mostly 140 km/h for the Intercity trains, though in some sections they may go up to 160 km/h. The railway is currently also rolling out the next generation of Intercity trains, which can reach cruising speeds of 200 km/h, though only on sections of the railroad suitable for high speed operations. Which, is at the moment, limited to the High Speed Line running from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Antwerpen, Belgium.
In Europe Train are clean but travelling 2 hrs feels like travel a lot because hardly people talk with strangers,very less people around the platforms,in India it is very different experience, every direction something is happening and once get in train everyone starts to talk and get along well and fast 👍 and friendly too
Right before I left Netherlands there was a massive train accident with a crane on the tracks and a train crashing into it. Accidents happen on both sides as well
