Thank you, Caramel....a fantastic video! My favorite part is at 3:10 of the video. Think chimps don't learn from one another? Fubuki goes charging up the tower after Berry. Once on the platform, Berry goes into her best imitation of The Warrior Princess (aka Mikan). Fubuki, having previously seen Mikan do her Tazmanian Devil workup before opening up a can of whoop-ass on Cherry and other chimps, then becomes duly intimidated, and wisely decides to get the hell out of there! Berry....you owe Mikan one! :)
6:21 Gin gives Fubuki a pop on the nose. Letting him know he is not wanted around right now. Fubuki take the hint and walks away. Good for Gin. I wish Gin would step up and take control. You never know who can be Alpha. This troop suffers because of a weak leader. Gin may never be alpha and Fubuki around 20 years from even make a first attempt. I do enjoy watching Gin he always looks like he is working things out in his head. The ridges over his eyes make him look this way I guess. This is the sad part of zoo’s in the wild a leader is needed for a troop to survive, a leader is needed to keep peace with in the troop. There are no threats, everything is given to them in the zoo the males really don’t get the chance to demonstrate what they can do in zoo’s their is just no need. Zoo’s are important to the survival of the chimps right now.
To everyone concerned about Gin and Ibuki. Gin wants to interact and play with Ibuki. He means no harm to him when he grabs him. How do I know? Because Gin is almost a fully grown male chimpanzee. If he wanted take and hurt Ibuki, he could do it any time. Momoko is a good mother and wouldn't let her baby be around any aggression.
One more question for those that have followed this group since Fubuki's birth.....was he electrocuted when he was a baby? I saw a video yrs ago of a baby chimp touching an electrical fence and start screaming, two teen males ( I think) grabbed the baby and then mom caming running and snatched the baby away. They all looked remarkably like Momoko, Fubuki and I believe one of the males might have been Gin. Does anyone know if I'm right or totally off on that?
It's funny, I always knew Gin would show major interest in holding Ibuki. Just as he did with Fubuki when he was little. I'm just a little surprised that he is more persistent than any of the girls. I thought the Miru and Sakura might try to hold Ibuki all the time. Maybe Momoko just tolerates Gin a little more than the others.
Momoko was a big part of Gin's upbringing, she was a female who helped Sazae the loner of the roupe and she often babysat Gin ...After Fubuki was born Gin became part of the lil family, specially with his crush on momoko, now he sees Ibuki as his and has staked his claim
Yes, Debra's right about that. I think that Gin 100% believes that he is the father, and Momoko might very well believe it too. I know they have mated many times in the past, so it isn't crazy for either of them to believe he's the father.
Sorry to re post again, but was Momoko going to Fubukis defense from Berry? It looked he was extremely upset and screeching at Berry when Momoko jumped up and took off in their direction at the beginning?
Trump2020 Yes, Momoko was going after Furbuki’s scream. However, she saw it was just typical Furbuki stirring up trouble and it would calm down soon , she was not to worked up. She always comes running when he screams. I love your screen name by the way!
Max is the father, Gin and other hybrids got vasectomies, zoo only want Western Chimpanzees. Max has no interest in the baby, but Gin has stepped up because he mated with Momoko ( his lady now ) a lot before she got pregnant. Momoko has let Gin take that roll and she may think he’s the father also.
@@grandmap3389 ..... I'm not familiar with Western or Eastern chimps, i didn't even know there was any different types lol... why does the zoo only want a certain type of chimp? Does it cause problems for their offspring if its mixed or something??? Im just curious since i thought there was only one kind of chimp, thanks!!!!

I've been viewing a bunch of older CR3 videos from before the time that I discovered these chimps, and I found a great one from Fubuki's infancy, which I am posting the link to right here th-cam.com/video/LO4iUKksIxs/w-d-xo.html , so that everybody else can also compare the brothers. In this video, Fubuki is 97 days old, which is almost perfect, considering that Ibuki is 101 days old in today's CR3 video. I think Ibuki is the spitting image of his older brother, which is a bit odd since they had different fathers. I'm hoping that Ibuki also develops a similar personality to Fubuki.
Trump2020 needs to get a new acct name for site-- running a quasi political ad AINT COOL especially in light of what just happened in Alaska with Bristol Bay and Pebble mine Trumpski single handily wiping out the last wild salmon fishery and 60 miles of beautiful rivers overturning all EPA rules that mine will destroy 100 percent of fishery and surrounding ecosystem --trump is direct anthema to these beautiful animals-- otherwise let site turn into political blog--Trump2020 is a direct campaign ad !!

Fubuki did touch a wire by the back fence, he didnt get electrocuted just a good shock....I will find the link and post it here today

I'm a little concerned with the way Gin keeps grabbing Baby Ibuki. Dang Gin....go a little easy. Although, Momoko seems to be on top of it.
gin was persistant in trying to take ibuki.gin grabbed him by the face at one point.it just shows males don't have the gentle touch of a mom.
