- There's nothing better than a Morris Minor Lowlight and this particular one is a beauty!
The perfect balance of originality and sympathetic restoration.
Underneath the Minor there is little to no signs of welding so structurally she is bob on too.
with only 4 owners on the v5 after 72 years and the condition she is in if you are looking for a lowlight for your collection this may well be the car for you,
however don't just take our word for it have a look round her with Dan..

That is a fabulous machine and in the perfect colour too!!!
I can remember the rubber wings on the Morris thousand van my dad was a GPO engineer I can remember the Morris 30 and 35 he used to let me steer the Boris 30 when he came from work I would sit on his lap. I would drive round the block for about 2 miles. I was no more than two years old. That would’ve been in the mid 50s
I am soo jealous that I haven't got it.what a lovely vehicle. Kevin.
Exactly the same as mine.
Nice 👍
I never really liked the low light model, it’s not as cute as the later ones. Perhaps it’s also that they’ve got a flathead, which stifles the car.
I like the side valve engine, and I like the low lights as well. So this would be the version for me, but we all like different things.
I cannot afford one so it is almost pointless to comment! I also like the Series E Morris Eight with the same engine. Perfect as it would give the excuse for blaming the car for going no faster than I would want to in a more potent vehicle. I Have a R50 Mini One [non-performance version] and drive it like is has half the power it actually does with the consequence that it is extremely economical!
Best wishes from George
@@georgejohnson1498 Wasn’t the flathead used as an APU for a tank?
@@chrishenniker5944 Sorry to say that I don't know. A long gone friend of mine had the split screen Minor, but with the tiny A-series Austin engine which replaced the side-valve Morris.
I believe the history of this Morris engine has a curiosity. Morris Motors dismantled a Ford 8 hp. side valve engine, and simply copied the ideas, but that may be wrong!

@@georgejohnson1498 That’s what I heard too. I bet you can put the Alta OHV head on the Ford block, if it’s a like for like plagiarism. Then put a Shorrock supercharger on it. If I was head of BMC, I’d have copied the American Crossley OHC or Chrysler Hemi for the A & B-Series.
