What the hell do you mean he lives in a world where everybody wants something from him?? I don't want anything from him. Maybe, gold-diggers and low aptitude creatures want something from him.
I'm sure that if for some strange multiverse reason you start to hang out with him and from time to time met him in parties of mutual friends, I'm sure that with time you will also want to have something from him@@wa2368
Elon Musk is probably inspired by his morning self at the end of each day
underrated joke
This had me laughing really good

This is the first review I have given on any podcast and I do watch a lot of them but I love your good positive outlook and always looking forward to the good in mankind, thank you!
We are truly blessed. We live on beautiful planet that has so much to offer, in a world of mostly good (ok - medium good) people and we get to witness and benefit from the huge progress humankind has made. Mistakes, we've made a few (too many) but here's to learning from them, growing and getting better. I'm 64 and the progress I've seen in my lifetime has been awesome. For my adult kids I think the future will be even more awesome. You two guys are special - thank you for these podcasts/vlogs.

True about cynical people. Thank you both. Love you both ❤

while his first response was the stereotype cynical !
Trust people to do the thing they do.
Trusting people to do the things they do can be a positive approach, as it demonstrates faith in their abilities and fosters a sense of autonomy. Trusting individuals to carry out their responsibilities can lead to increased motivation, productivity, and a sense of ownership over their work. However, it's important to strike a balance by providing guidance, support, and clear expectations to ensure that tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. Trusting people doesn't mean relinquishing control entirely, but rather empowering them to excel in their roles while maintaining open lines of communication and offering assistance when needed.
This feels like a session with a therapist.
And it feels like Elon is deflecting a lot of questions lol. It's alright though, it can be some heavy shit that you don't want to talk about publically.
Exactly 😂
@@rdcruickThat's because Lex is not the type of energy that makes Elon wanna speak freely. Lex is an agent somewhat, you gotta be careful around him. Joe on the other hand makes you wanna speak freely, so you do.
With great power, comes great responsibility. When one decides we are doing things for others and not ourselves , it makes it easier . The eyes of children explain why we do what we are meant to do. To paint a better picture than we saw, to leave more curiosity to explore and wonder than we had . To bring more joy than was before, and ensure more comes after. We build legacies of better tomorrows. For all not just oneself. For a laugh , for life , for wonder , …for love,
always. It’s the choice.
“What is it if not nothing, to gain the whole world, but lose ones soul”
Going now slow now
Love your work Lex!
The most important take of this clip is: that legacy media focus on a few negative events (which they spin to their agendas) because that's what people want. Nevertheless a bunch of negative events doesn't represent reality, so media reality is fictional

To have that amount of sheer wealth and influence and to remain open, humble, and honest with yourself with your feet on the ground is a feat most don't attain.
Yes I have been cynical and I will take his wisdom to heart. Really trying to rewire my brain after all the trauma Ive had. Its good to be protective but at the same time not at the cost of your own health and if ppl take advantage of you so be it. But dont become what has been done. I see that now. Manifest destiny. Be what you want and it will return. Eventually it will. And if not, you have your pride but I believe being good eventually works out for you. I know being bad begets bad. So the opposite must be true.
The petrified joke was great lol

Elon Musk's perspective on trust and cynicism as one of the richest men in the world is intriguing. He suggests that being good to people generally results in them being good to you, and he warns against the dangers of cynicism. But in a world where wealth and power can distort relationships, how realistic is this view? Can a person in such a high position maintain genuine relationships, or does their status inevitably attract a certain level of insincerity from others? And what about Musk's reliance on public platforms for feedback - is this a viable way to stay grounded, or does it risk reinforcing a bubble of like-minded opinions?
Well, in answer to your question......he certainly looks exhausted! lol

I bought a little RV and spent the summer driving around the continent visiting people. I invited Lex but he doesn't check his email 🤣 (I filled out the coffee with Lex form) platoniclly of course. It would have been nice to have an interesting person to talk to and a 2nd driver. It was a long 18,000 miles but I learned a lot about myself, the US and human nature. I highly recommend getting out and exploring if you can.

Cool insight on the power of wealth.
God bless us.
Elon seems to be cracking more jokes. In my psychology class, humour was listed as the highest defense mechanism. Intellectualizing issues was the second highest defense mechanism. Appears Elon has both.
I don’t pretend to be a student of psychology, but I’d imagine it’s a default the brain has, in order to protect itself, and ultimately that person. The subconscious creating a narrative that everything is ok, or not as bad as the conscious perceives.
Men who think deeply appear to be comedians in their dealings with others because they always have to feign superficiality in order to be understood.

Dear Lex,
You might not realise this right now, but questions you ask, could keep our species a life for few extra generations…
Positive or negative, they get "the juice". The negative is much easier to disseminate.
Him demonizing cynics which in definition is someone questioning someone doing things out of personal interest is pretty telling. Why does that offend him to where he needs to address it and alter its definition? Lex your being a little too easy on your guests lately and letting them off lightly. You're way more intelligent than the questions you're soft balling. Maybe people are not as sharp and or give a shit enough to take the time to point out what seems to be obvious.

To doubt something because you believe someone is doing that "thing" for greed or power.
The reason they are doing something is for a selfish reason.
The berries are essential if we're starving to death.
He said that cynical people give excuses of their bad behaviour by saying that everyone does it. When asked about negativity in x platform, he said mainstream media is more negative. He was right about cynical people.
talking with your bestie is all you need.
You can have a cynical view of certain aspects of life but be an optimist at the same time.
Society conditions us to compete for unreliable forms of happiness. That causes cynicism because we see the subsequent harm of that competition. The solution is to understand that there's no reliability. Then everyone will relax and enjoy the innate happiness of being.

Negative human bias is a result of evolution in the Amygdala. It did a hell of a lot of good grab your attention when something bad happened or could happen. Survival tool. Happiness takes deliberate practice. So if you feel sucked into the void of negativity, bring awareness and center back to a positive state. We will improve this muscle over time. Spread positivity, you never know, one smile in a grocery store could save someone’s life 😊
" The bonus" will be more than 50%. But it's only my opinion .
You would have to say on the Internet in general now instead of on Twitter/X to make that point because now that he owns it he is unlikely to be unbiased about anything related to it.
It's got to be a little unnerving and surreal to have that much wealth and fame. I hope Elon has a lot of good people around him helping to shoulder the burden of it all 🙏 He did wonderful things for the economy of the FL Space Coast and it's very exciting to see Boca Chica grow into what will likely become Cape Canaveral 2.0.
